  1. So, since we already have a challenger ready, somehow i managed to sneak to the back of our foe and found out he... also brought help. This guy seems to also contradict himself. Can you believe it? 4Alts.png
Thankfully, it seems our battle is evenly matched. In a few days, We'll be able to see what this is all about. Good luck to any challengers out there!
Are you ready to accept this challenge?
(Everything is planned as for my current roadmap, no worries, i'm not pulling out new content just for the hell of it lol)
  2. I've reanudated work on the cameos. Next time i'm revealing the movesets and some combos for Takeru, Amatos, Allannia & Scarlet.
Expect out some more updates for Shadows of the Earth. This time i'm surely publishing out the Type M Demo.
  3. Well, the time has come and Shadows of the Earth: A Christmas Story says goodbye! THANK YOU for playing that mess of bugs and rushed development. However, this little brother of The Vrila'an Legend is not dissapearing. Its content will simply be re-added to his big brother, i'm implementing a sub-quest were you can gain the promised new limit elents that were scrapped due to time constraints, and the villains come again to try and kick your ass.

I have lots of news for those following the Vrila'an Legend. But i'll divide them in various posts so i don't clog everything into one long post.

First of all, Mike Blackguard (Available in Advanced Demo) is getting a slight rework on some of his elents. Have you heard of Yuri Lowell? He's gonna be similar, but more versatile.

Second: For all those Perla players, she's also getting a rework on some of her elents, so she will have a bit more of aerial variety.

Third: Wendy's Limit Elents will also be receiving some enhancements.
This is all i have for now. For those who missed it:

  4. More Reveals!

Wandering Bosses are finally appearing! Just be aware that they're very hard to defeat. But defeating them earns you rewards (appart from bragging rights!) so you can strengthen your characters. You'll earn a set of Fluxites for your characters.
They're monsters that simply went wild when him tried to control them, but due to their massive power he was unable to, only crushing the little sanity they had before unleashing their rage.

I'll reveal two of them only.

Sprathan: An ether construct formed naturally, made from ether condensed in thousands of years. Sometimes ether takes a living form due to the emotions of people. You'll have to think what kind of emotion has to be this much to create such a powerful beast.
    imagen_2023-12-25_182344870.png

Nervaron: With a composition similar to a Titanbeast, the Nervaron is a monster capable of controlling Lightning. These monsters usually keep their cool and walk away from civilization, but this one goes on rampages now that its sanity is gone. You probably faced it in the advanced demo, be sure to take Stun Protection or else you're gonna have a bad time.
    imagen_2023-12-25_182437680.png

After winning these fights, you'll earn a monster part, you can exchange this monster part at the Knight's Guild so you can obtain the Fluxites. These battles will make you go all out on the offensive because the devastating attacks these beasts unleash are no joke and defending is a possibility only if you have the means to resist their offense.

    Battlers by Aekashics!
  5. Those are very cool!
But, ah, us light mode users are crying right now. The light grey text is unreadable.
  6. I genuinely don't know how it ended on light grey if i only changed the color to orange once.
  7. Perhaps...it was firE's work!
  8. I hope not. Else the a** whooping i'm gonna give him it's gonna be felt even in Dime a Dozen.
  9. Appart from the massive wave of cameos (10, to be precise) there's bound to be some confusion with the giant party (almost an army, mind you) of characters you can choose from. Fear not! These extra characters can be called upon at the Knight's Guild! This place, mentioned a lot of times, is a special place where many activities can be done.
    Map165.png
W.I.P version of the Knight's Guild.
The Knight's Guild is a central location to Angorian, created after the fall of the Royal Castle. It was built as a place where many decisions to improve and rebuild what was Angorian before... the catasthrope were taken. Nowadays is a place where many adventurers, people and goodie-sellers flock to offer their services, wares or to ask for help.

In the Knight's Guild, you can summon or unsummon any cameo playable character. As long as you've won its corresponding battle and completed their cameo subquest. Here, you can also exchange the monster parts earned after facing a Wandering Boss. You may also find Eldviðri here so you can also buy some Augments, or maybe talk with the Guildmaster so you can exchange some tasks for Titles! This is a place you will definitely visit more than once.
  10. As I wrote in the other post, all cameos are progressing slowly but steady!
Be planning out your builds everyone!

I'll open with the Augments! There's quite a level on those.
Augments have 5 Levels: Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Omega & Zenith, with increases ranging from 10% to 250%. Of course, the last levels are hard to get, and you'll have to sacrifice tears, sweat, Silva and quite the resources to get them, but worry not! These will stay even in New Game+!
    imagen_2023-12-28_211131594.png
There's also Elemental Augments. For each element, you'll find a Pendant and a Coating. Pendants transfer the damage type to Base Elents, and Coatings reduce the Element damage they're resistant to by 50%!
Some Pendants also grant access to New Elents. For Example: Prim has no base element attunement, but if you equip a Ruby Pendant, she can earn the Flare Burst (Union Elent), which is very similar to Joseph's Vulcan Blast. Equipping a Topaz Pendant will allow her to learn the Ice Cross Elent, which is totally new!

    And more to come!
  11. Just want to say that the Type M demo is finally coming. At the start of the year, it's the first thing i'm gonna publish (once i get the extra gamepad i bought haha). On the other hand, the SoTE gang is making a party this new year's eve!
    1703997734760.png
Look at them! They even went to buy some new clothing! Some outfits (such as Joseph's main outfit) aren't simply made for parties (thanks to the blood of monsters, it's a miracle its still in one piece after so many washes and repairs).

Now let's talk about Passive Elents.
Passive Elents are special skills that you can learn manually by investing Passive Elent Shards. You have access to two of each type and one for personal skills at the start of the game, which you can increase later on!
    1703997973469.png
Every one of those elents consumes EC or Elent Capacity. A set amount will be deducted and you can equip as many elents as your Equip Limit allows.
    1703998078114.png
Here's a preview of some of the Elents you'll be able to equip! Note that you need to surpass certain limits to unlock new Elents! There's so many possibilities!
  12. In the Type M Demo, depending on how many gamepads you have connected, the characters will display their corresponding player on top of their heads, and on the HUD with the following icons:

It will be hard to keep up. For now, Caster type characters will follow the same targetting as the P1, since this is still in early access. Of course, once the tests are finished, we'll add the corresponding targetting icons based on the colors of the players.
    LockOn2.pngLockOn3.pngLockOn4.png

Since red is always player 1, i've decided to color code the icons similarly.
I won't give an exact estimate but at least this week for the deployment of the Type M Demo!
  13. Yeah, i've decided to actually give to all cameo characters a second Limit Elent. Just because at that point all base characters have their two Limit Elents.
Let me know which names you want in case your character appears here!

    Fia: Endless Void
Prim: Blazing Blossom (Requires Ruby Pendant)
    Tiqee: Summon Sentry MKII
    Fidel:

    Takeru:
    Amatos:
    Ragnarok
    Allannia:
    Scarlet:
    Incineration Mania

  14. SOOOO Copypasting from the Cameo thread.
    LastCollabs.png
Our latest guest characters! Klein (@Starmage ) & Nick (@MoztheTiger ) JOIN THE BATTLE!
They do not have a cameo battle and are able to join once you meet them! Of course, they're still part of the other 8 cameo characters, for a MASSIVE TOTAL OF 10 Guest Characters.
    Here are their moves!

And with this, the Collaborations are closed and finished. Just gotta get the Character Quests finished (Related to their original game quests, but veeeery reduced) running and we're set for the oficially named Collaboration Update!
  15. I loooove this Erif! This is very epic! I looove how you innovated with Klein's movesets! I am sooo excited for the game's release! Best wishes! <3 ^^

And I love seeing Moz' character here as well! Epic stuff indeed! :kaojoy:
  16. OF course! Thank you Starmage! Now i'll be pushing forward for a while because i got a couple of updates on standby so, yeah.
  17. CameoHeroes.png
¡Aquí están todos los héroes extranjeros que se unen a nosotros en la batalla!
Here's all the Foreign Heroes that join us in the battle!
  18. This is amazing, it's a great collaboration! I can't wait to play! I'll be waiting in the store to buy it on the first day for sure

    Es perfecto ;)

The only thing i can say is that the game itself is still in development, but the collabs themselves are ready and i will include them (or at least a beta version) in the following demo update. I want to iron out any kinks with the battle system (and everything related to the combat) before going nuts with the story.
  20. Introducing:
Level 4 Limit Elents, Emergent Elents and Support Limit Elents

These were features planned but i never got to work on them.
Level 4 Limit Elents (Inspired by dual Mystic Artes)
These special limit elents are unlocked via Passive Elent Shards, and can be swapped at will, as long as you have enough EC to equip them! They can be bought at each character's fighting style elent tree. These also have a very specific trigger combination, which may require an active elent effect.

    Emergent Elents
(Inspired by wanting a ... new feature on a system that doesn't have them?)

These elents are special abilities that can be triggered via Command Button to make them effective. Currently only Titania has one active. I'm planning on expanding them for Multiplayer (i'm still working on the Type M demo) to offer the best effects to try and guarantee a smoother cooperative experience (and keep teams safe, mostly since you can't swap fighters on the fly [yet])

Support Limit Elents (Inspired by Amatos Level 2 Limit Elent)
A variation of Level 4 Limit Elents, these Elents swap the Level 4 Limit Elent for an exceedingly powerful Support Elent. They have the same trigger requirements for a Level 4 Limit elent but these are strengthened via Focus!
