Dev's update: It seems that I have found the root cause of the stuttering issue. The new build fixing this stuttering (26010101) is now available.
@Lady_JJ could you please download this build and continue with your current save files to see if the stuttering issue during battle (choosing commands, skills) is fixed? And after confirming the fix with the current save files, if possible, could you please help run the game from scratch? I have made a significant change in this build, and I'm not sure if it breaks the other parts of the game.

I didn't notice any stuttering with the prior build during the boss battle, but I'll check it out again. After that, I'll start a new game and will give you periodic updates. This will take some time as my current save has 73+ hours.
-
Thank you kindly. If there are any unexpected issues, please let me know. And sorry for the short updated content in this new build. I have been so busy with my work recently :frown:I didn't notice any stuttering with the prior build during the boss battle, but I'll check it out again. After that, I'll start a new game and will give you periodic updates. This will take some time as my current save has 73+ hours.
Also, please give any feedback about the new "reinforcement crystals" and potions. I'm not sure if they are too OP or too useless. -
A bit more update on what I am doing right now: I have decided to shorten all the tutorials and only display a pop-up with multiple pages like below. By this way, players still get enough information of the features, while do not get frustrated over the long tutorials. This will be available in the next build, or maybe later builds.
-
Update: I have completed reworking all the in-game tutorials. Now, instead of walking through a long tutorial, you will see this small pop-up with multiple pages. You can choose to read or skip it at any time. This is now available in the new build 26010301.
@Lady_JJ If you haven't started a new game yet, please use this new build instead to experience the new tutorials. I'm truly looking forward to hear your feedback for this.
Below is the final screenshot in-game.

Dev's update: It's the end of the New Year Holidays, and I have to get back to work again. But before that, I have done some small QoL updates for characters' information and stats allocation:
- Critical Multiplier (Crit Damage Rate) and Flat Critical Damage Bonus can now be tracked in the characters' status menu. For Crit Damage Rate, 150% is the base value when doing a critical attack, while the bonus behind it is from other sources (like equipment, crystals, etc).
- Critical Multiplier (Crit Damage Rate) is also added into Stats Allocation screen. This is because I haven't mentioned anywhere that each point of LUK also increases Crit Damage Rate by 0.1%. So if you spend JP on SPR (which increases LUK), you will see changes in Crit Damage Rate.
- Also, I have removed some unused parameters in Stats Allocation screen, so now it only contains the ones affected by the 5 main stats.
You can open the SPOILER tag to view the in-game images.
P/s: I will continue with the story, while also doing some QoL improvement if needed. There will be one or two whole new maps ahead, so it might take a while. -
I started a new game with the 1/3/2026 build. The tutorial went well. I honestly felt it went very quickly and didn't seem tedious or boring at all. Same with the Synthesis Shop and Magic Shop tutorials. Nicely done. I do seem to be stuck right now, though, and I'm perplexed as to why.
I've finished the Blanc encounter and now I need to make a bridge. Blanc gave me a Hand Axe and it shows in my inventory. However, I can't get it to show in the Tools box. I've tried pressing 'Q' and 'E', left clicking the arrows, nothing happens. I opened up a game saved before this build and I can get the tools to show and cycle through them just fine, but not with my newest save. I then opened up this newest save (party in the culvert with Blanc) in the 12/31/2025 build and, again, I can't get the hand axe to show. I'm attaching that save file so you can test it in case it's something I'm doing wrong. -
@Lady_JJ sorry for the issue you encountered. Maybe there was something wrong with the tool system when I added the pop-ups for tutorials. I will check it again soon. Thank you!

@Lady_JJ I have found the cause of this issue. It was my fault for not paying attention when deleting all the old tutorials. I forgot to enable the Tool system at that time, so you could only see the UI, but the function did not work. I have made a new build (26010701) to fix this. You can download it again from the download link. If you have a save before the encounter with Blanc, please load it again and continue to see if the fix works. If you don't, just load your save and press "~" (above Tab), and type "-refresh". After that, the tool system will work normally.I started a new game with the 1/3/2026 build. The tutorial went well. Also, I have managed to bring back this fancy Save/Load screen. When you open it for the first time, you might see your saves with no images or characters' information, except for Playtime. But don't worry about that because it is just UI, and the save files are all working normally. Just load the game and save it again, and all the information should be displayed correctly.
And one question about the three "Legendary" crystals that you got from your main save: How do you feel about them? -
I like the fancy, schmancy Save Screen. :)@Lady_JJ I have found the cause of this issue. It was my fault for not paying attention when deleting all the old tutorials. I reloaded a save just prior to entering Big Joe's mansion area and the tools function works as intended. Yay! On my way to Seagull now.
As for the legendary crystals, the only hard battle I could test them on was the last one with Subject M. But that battle was cut short by Subject A so I couldn't really gauge how well they worked and/or do the pros outweigh the cons. I'll be sure to test them more fully when another boss battle becomes available. -
Glad to hear that. That fancy save/load screen was bugged for a long time, and I have just found the solution recently. Hope it will work well in the future. If there are any unexpected issues, please reach out to me. I will continue with the story, and some other "fancy" things too :biggrin:I like the fancy, schmancy Save Screen. :)

All levels are in low 40's. 4 of my characters have been awakened. These were less frustrating than I remember them being, probably a combination of your adjustments and my own experience in getting each to survive. They were all accomplished on Normal level and only Aiko needed to be restarted a couple of times. I think I finally lucked out with Aiko in that her alter ego didn't spam that regeneration continuously. I also used the personal soul gems on others to get the increased stats, especially agility. The two remaining are Blanc and Lilith. Blanc was the most difficult before and that hasn't changed. I can get her alter ego down to less than 1000 HP but then Blanc keeps getting paralyzed and pounded into oblivion with no chance to retaliate. I think I can alter her stats a bit to finally prevail. Lilith is the other, which is a bit perplexing because looking back at my previous comments, it seems Leonardo and Lilith were the easiest to achieve. I can keep Lilith alive, that's no problem, but I can't find a way to cause her alter ego to lose HP. I'll need to look at weapons, crystals, skills, etc. to see what I've missed/forgotten. So, yeah, long winded way to say I'm much more satisfied with these battles than I was last time.
One small cosmetic issue...
When weapon recipes are unlocked in Valenka, the first page of listed shows all the green, then the blue, but the last blue stops at icon [2], then the next page shows Underneath Godbreaker in white, and the 3rd page shows the rest of the weapons in blue. It's probably an issue that can be easily fixed by adding Underneath Godbreaker to the second intended page where there's plenty of room for it. Same thing with unlocked recipe armors where Veil of the Forgotten Seal is partially on first page, then shows white on second page. Remaining armor items show blue as intended.
and one small typo...
Tutorial dialogue first time using ship
To move your ship, simple use your Direction Keys.
should be simply use your Direction Keys.
Also, I can't access my ship in Seagull, Captain says I need to wait for it to be repaired. I don't remember this happening before probably because I just didn't feel the need to return to the ship. Will the ship become available at some later point in the story? I really need those Sanguine Hearts.
All in all, the game is running really smoothly without any hiccups. I really love the Bestiary, especially since it shows which prime articles are dropped including the drop rate. I had to fight the Void Knight 8 times before finally getting both the Void Staff and the Void Whip to drop. :)
I haven't yet gone to Einhart's office to face Subject A (is it A or M? Amelia anyway). I may do that before attempting awakenings for Blanc and/or Lilith again.
Playtime thus far 34+ hours.
Edit- I forgot Lilith's Infinite Maledict causes damage each turn. She's now awakened on normal. I finally caved and awakened Blanc with the aurorite equipped and on Piece of Cake setting. Now that they're all awakened, it's time to get Plati.
Edit2 (1/13/26)- Got as far as beating the One-Eye Giant.
Bloodreign Pearl description- rarity gets truncated at end of first line so just 'only the highest rari' shows. Move rarity down to second line. I tried equipping this on Lucas, but I only had a few yellow/white potions left and not enough to keep Lucas alive. I'll try it again when I'm better stocked.
Phantom Vitalis Crystal description- Blocks 01 physical or magical damage, can you explain what 01 means because it can't mean just 1 damage point. Maybe means the damage from either one physical hit or one magical skill? (Lilith had it equipped during One-Eye Giant battle and it was a tremendous asset. Definitely keeps her from being damaged by the first round of physical or magical skills.)
Necklace of Stone Skin (drop from One-Eye Giant)- says Required Level is 24, but none of my characters can equip it. My highest level character is Leonardo at 52. I'll keep trying as levels increase.
Those were the only two new crystals I experimented with. I ran out of gold so couldn't craft the others. I will say equipping Lucas with the Aurorite has been a real game changer. :) -
I've been thinking about this...Subject M's true identity, not looking for you to confirm/deny, just waiting to see if a future confrontation may reveal a spark of recognition
Sorry, Mods, thought this was an edit to my last response, not a new response. -
All the issues you mentioned have been fixed and will be available in the next build. I had completely forgotten about the Sailing Tutorial, and I have just added a new tutorial pop-up for it.Just to let you know where I am...

I have also given back the ability to sail to Sanguine Ocean, but you will not be able to sail once the step "Get to Seishin Cave" starts. I do it to match the story, as their ship should totally collapse at that time.
I'm thinking of increasing the chance of getting equipment from Story Bosses to 100%, instead of keeping them at 50%, because that equipment should be a part of the story rewards.
For the Phantom Vitalis Crystal, I have also changed its description to "Negates 01 physical or magical hit every 3 turns". It means if a physical or magical skills have multiple hits, the first hit will always be 0 damage. This should not confuse players anymore.
Necklace of Stone Skin should have a level requirement of 55, not 24. It was my fault for forgetting to edit the description.
I'm glad and feel so relieved that you had a smoother experience this time. The stuttering issue has been haunting me for a very long time.
Also, a little sneak peek at what I have been doing these days. It's not too much, but it still costs me lots of time. I will continue with the story after this:
Spoiler
P/s: About what you mentioned about Subject M o_O
SpoilerI guess you can guess who Subject M is after all the hints, and it will be even more tragic to the main character. -
Not only is there zero stuttering in the battles, there is also not that noticeable delay between when selecting the Save slot and the subsequent window actually showing the game being saved. All the issues you mentioned have been fixed and will be available in the next build. As for Bloodreign Pearl, maybe it's just the way my brain works, but I think if you used the word 'first' instead of the number '01' it would be clearer. At any rate, it's quite clear what the crystal does the first time the equipped character is either physically or magically hit.
Subject MWell, yeah, that confirms it for me. So many unresolved issues... Wonder if they'll ever find peace with each other. Great storyline!
LOVE the new title page! :kaoluv:
Edit- After Kaoru reinforces the two shards, quest is now to return to Einhart's office. She's not there. The cutscene with Plati saying Lydia was abducted only happens when/if the party approaches the unoccupied desk. I found myself going between Einhart's office in the cathedral and Lady Amelia's office in the castle before I finally approached Einhart's desk to search around and that triggered the arrival of Plati. Consider adding an ! icon above Einhart's desk so the player knows they actually have to interact with the desk to progress the game? This would be in keeping with all the previous ! icon visual cues so I don't believe it's an unreasonable cue/nerf.
Tagging you @JamesRyan so you'll see this new comment -
Thanks for that vital feedback. I have added a ! icon to the chair as you recommended. This would draw players' attention, so they will know there must be something there. Every feedback you sent will be available in the next build :biggrin:Edit- After Kaoru reinforces the two shards, quest is now to return to Einhart's office. She's not there. I am assuming that the blank 0 to the right of Active Skills Learned 7 is supposed to show Maximum Active Skills Allowed 11? The blank shows for all my characters.
Also, forgot to mention I like the idea of 100% drop rate by bosses of unique items. -
Thanks for catching it. That block is not used, so it seems to always display 0 like that. There is no limit for the number of active skills. I will find a way to deal with it later :stickytongue:View attachment 357935

Dev's update: I have finished the new Title Screen, and also raised the chance to drop equipment and crystals to 100%. All the feedback have also been addressed. The story is still ongoing, but it might still take a while. A new sea map is in design, with new monsters.
-
Dev's update: I have been preparing to continue the story, especially the new maps. And again, time to get on the ship and sail to the sea. These are some new monsters in the extended Sanguine Ocean.
