  1. The front is recognizable, though the profile views need some work.
The side 'ridges' curve convex rather than concave, and then wrap around and meet in the back of the head, which sticks out a little.
And rather than using the solid black outline for drawing the ridges, try a grey; whenever black outlines are used they suggest pieces stuck on rather than protrusions from the same surface. If that makes sense.

I wish I could help; I am not sure of the angle of the mouth piece. If also it is obtainable in spriting (some angles and curves gets crazy that way)

Here is my next attempt at a Stormtrooper (from Star Wars) in the tradition RPGMaker MV style.

  3. @GalacticGod I think you should work more on the shapes of the helmet, you're on the right track but it seems too flat at the moment. The eyes on yours are much higher than on the actual sprite, which makes the whole sprite feel like it was painted on a wall and isn't meant to wander around a map. The sideview 'nose' part of the helmet also seems too large, it doesn't need to stick out all that much to give off the right vibe. I made some quick versions of my own, trying to focus on the shapes, so hopefully you can see what I mean.

I'm going to suggest rewatching the movies so you can study the helmets and their shapes more (you could just look at pictures, but who doesn't like having a reason to watch star wars? :p ).

Wow, what you came up with looks really great! Thanks for all the feedback. I knew mine did not look right but I was just at a loss on how to fix it, lol. I think I am going to go back to drawing board with this one. Once again thanks for the feedback and advice.
  5. Hello! It's my first time posting my edits, and since pixel art is a pretty new thing for me, I appreciate any and all criticism y'all have to offer. Since it's beyond my skills right now to make an entirely custom set of graphics, I've been working on mainly customizing the main characters' appearances to make them look more unique. Beneath the cut are the outfit references/dialogue portraits for the respective characters- I don't mind critique on those, but I'm mainly after critique for the outfits themselves in the combat sprites. ONLY the outfits were pixelled by me.

  6. Is there anyone out there that might be able to help me fix this:

    SV Battler Test.png

I have been working on an edit of Vibrato's battlers and I can not seem to get her dress to flow correctly. It just looks a little wonky every time it animates. I have been trying to fix it but just can not seem to get it to look correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Try correcting first pose (especially that bend front opening in the front? It seems like a ribbon there and other poses the rear of the dress. Once it is decided what it is it might help.) and is it a 1231 or a 1232?
  8. Its me DESK!...

I would love any critique or feed back on this piece, Im particularly wondering what you think about the legs of the desk, and any critique on anti-aliasing.

Thank you so much for your feed back! <3
  9. @PixelHeart The fact the mug is slightly hanging off the desk really concerns me! Other than that, I like the overall look and the desk's legs are a neat shape, but I think the shading on them is a bit off. The light source seems to be from the left, but there's not a lot of highlights on the left leg compared to the one on the right.
  10. Hello! :kaohi:(I don't know if this is the right place but... eh)

There's this character I made. She's a girl. But she looks like a guy. I don't know what to change to make her look more like a girl? Her age is around 16 to 20 btw.
This is her (with sprite as reference): jVdJxGm.png

    Thank you

  11. What style are you look at? Do you need faceset and sprite?
  12. For the pixel body try adding shading to make it look like she has breast, for the actual face, try changing the eyes a bit along with the eye brows. Might help a bit to give it a more femanine appearance
  13. @smhaaokir Are you looking for advice, or for someone to remake her for you? If you're wanting just advice, then I'll move this to the right place (the WIP thread) for you.

Oh, I'm looking for an advice actually. Sorry for posting on the wrong thread. :kaoblush:
  15. Merging with WIP Thread.

@smhaaokir No worries, just wanted to make sure this ended up where you'd get the right type of help. :)

EDIT: I made a few quick edits to your face to hopefully give you some ideas of what you can do. By making her eyebrows thinner and adding more of a lip to her mouth, you can get a less masculine face.

Changing her whole face shape to be more rounded could help too, and if you were feeling up to adjusting how you do the eyes you could add in some eyelashes.
  16. So I'm practicing improving my pixel art, since I mainly make characters, I feel I like in the general objects and such department of it, I lack a bit. So I've made one pixel art today.
What do y'all think of it?

  17. @J-G I merged your post with this thread.
  18. Ok thanks
  19. I've been procrastinating on a male walk sprite for a while now, and finally got around to starting on the limbs.
Any advice? I'm not too sure about the legs and shoulders.
And does the left or right arm look better? Cause I tried making it better with the left, but imo it looks pretty wonky and Im not sure how to fix it. So I might just keep it like the right one.

  20. @Elissiaro Larger sprites can be fun to work with, but they do take a lot of time to get right. Right now I think his legs are too skinny and short compared to his muscular torso (unless he always skips leg day), so you may want to tweak them. His shoulders also seem a bit off, but I think that's partly because his neck is so thin. Try thickening his neck a touch and see if the shoulders still look weird to you. I like the effect you have with the left hand, but I'm not sure it really works with a 3-frame animation. I did a quick-and-dirty edit to make a 4-frame walk instead, maybe that's something to consider? But if you're sticking with 3 frames, then something like the right arm may be better.
