Tried making walking and running animations with Spriter. Does the movement look good?

The way I did it, I draw each part of the body (arms, legs, head, etc) individually and then arrange and animate them in Spriter. That way, I can also make the sv_battler without having to draw every single frame again.
Looks great. I havent played with spriter yet, but I basically use the same format with MS Paint3d. I create the character parts using 3d shapes. I lock together all of the pieces of each body part and then I copy and paste, adjust for movement and angle, etc. It is a buggy program, but I like playing with it anyway.
  2. I'm not 100% sure where to post this. I'm looking for feedback on the sprites.

    Sprite 1
I think this one fits the rest of the artstyle. But it looks too blurry, and I can't make it any sharper than this.

    Sprite 2
I commissioned this one from an artist. It looks sharp enough, but I'm not sure if it would look right with the tilesets.

I'm leaning toward Sprite 2, but I want to hear other people's opinions first.
  3. @ChessF01 I think both fit well enough? I wud honestly go wid whatever you think is better quality. If Sprite 1 has blur issues, maybe that settles it? :kaoswt:
  4. I've modified some of the default tilesets and made my own sprites, although I'm not sure if the character sprites look good at the current resolution.
Current resolution is 800x600 with tile size 48x48 , MZ.

  5. @Geszart yo peeps have serious murder spree eyes :kaoswt: Some stuff is a li'l wonky, but on the whole I think it works okay!
  6. I took a break from poorly implementing plugins to start making a pixel art animation of my 'big bad' enemy changing from chill to murderous. I only had the core, basic idea of the animation in mind but not the like.. end state. My friends suggested things like spider eyes, the legs changing to be more like large fingers, adding teeth somewhere.... I only shaded the first 3 frames so far, thoughts and suggestions?
  7. @keddlin I think it looks super freakin' nice, sweetie! :wub Are ya gonna add more frames, or is this it? Just kinda hard to get a good look at what the final state gonna be like. Anyway, nice job! :kaoluv:
  8. I am a total novice so I don't know how many frames there are supposed to be for something like this, maybe when I'm finished I will have an idle animation and static image for the final form, thank you for the feedback
