Event - Sleigh the Competition! 2023 Christmas Game Jam

Didn't have much time to work on the jam this week. Luckily, I've finished my entry before the rush. :cutesmile:
It's short and simple, but I did put all my heart into it.

Nearly done! Just some polish and a few audio related stuff.

It's dawned on me just how dumb my game is. But that's okay! I'm having fun and purposefully not trying too hard.
I'm basically done except for a bit at the beginning, but I have to keep axing planned changes so I don't overwhelm myself with the polish. :kaoswt:

Here's a sneak peek of today's Kytt art. But where will this feature in the game, I wonder...? (she also asked me to point out that due to time constraints she's having to compromise on art quality)

Oh... I see a lot of fancy screenshots... my graphics are not nearly as fancy. I start to get worried if I didn't underestimate the level of dedication to this jam.

My game is so small, if you skip al dialogue and know exactly where to go, it can be finished in less then a minute... And anyone can see the eventing is as basic as it can be. :p I even used some RTP...

My game is RTP heavy with a couple sprites I drew myself. I would've loved to do more custom art but I really don't have the time. It takes me an entire day to do one character spritesheet

My game is actually about 20 minutes long, but pretty much everything is skippable. You need to search for some items, which take time, unless you know where the items are hid.

I just assume people will actually read the dialogue, but if not, that will also take off a lot of time. But then again, if people skip dialogue, they can just as well skip my whole game. :p

But don't you worry... 20 minutes is the max, not the minimum. :p So if your game is indeed a 1 minute game in the end, it should still not be against the rules. :p

Hmm, a wonderful tester of my entry has shared they finished the "Easy mode" in 26 minutes, and most time consumed was due to reading equipment/skill descriptions >.<, but they played another round of the easy mode without reading descriptions too much and just focused on the battles, they finished in 14 minutes. Hmm, I feel kinda nervous about that. I guess it is what it is :kaocry:I am just hoping to get a badge at the very least xD <3

Meanwhile, I'm still mostly jus' procrastinatin', BUT, I did get this excellent idea of mostly scrappin' what I made so far and starting afresh! (!!!??!?) I also shot myself in my dominant hand, set my house on fire, and donated the contents of my bank account to a cute-lookin' Nigerian prince, buuuuut... I think Imma tackle this jam on time! :wub
