RPG Maker MV Lags?

Not getting lag from editing a project, just from the play test.

-
Mine only seems to lag when most of the screen is covered with auto-tiles, which means a world map with lots of open sea is a mess to move around on.

-
If you are not getting lag try this. Click drag and let go rapidly. If you see odd delays even miss placement of tiles then this is a major issue. Most people don't rapidfire but this is 2015. it's suppose to be under 10ms interface delay and feels more like 100+
I also have slowdown via clicking database tabs etc. While it's grabbing this stuff live on a ssd it should not be this bad... I swear web browser loads faster on a plain text file at 1kb.
System:
Windows 10 64bit
Intel i7-4770K @ 3.50 Ghz
ASUS Maximus VI Hero Motherboard
Corsair AX860I 860W Power Supply
32 GB of Ram
GeForce GTX 780 Ti
500 Gig SSD

Lag in pretty much anything I do... Some things are tolerable, others like menu opening is unbearable. Large database causes crash, large maps take way to long to load.

-
I'm not sure how to get a complete showing of my system information.
I have an AMD AthlonII X3 450 CPU
3.20 GHz
12.0 GB of RAM
64-bit Operating System
Windows 7 Ultimate
An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (i THINK it has 3 gigs of DDR3 RAM built into it)
That's really all the info i can give at the moment.
MV lags quite a bit unless i reduce the screen size using one of Yanfly's plugins for screen size.
Once it is reduced in size blow the default size, it runs more smoothly but still wants to hiccup a lot.
If anyone knows an easy way to get ALL my system information needed to post it, lemme know.. i know there is a way to but i can't remember.. -
Im having trouble with the Traits section, when I try to change the Hit chance% its lagging alot and sometimes crashing.. :/
Its the only problem I have had so far.

For those wanting to get their system info, open the Run box (Windows Key + R) and type "msinfo32" without the quotes. You want that first screen that pops up. Also, as mentioned in the OP, in the menu on the left side of the window, click on the + next to Components, then click on Display. Take screen shots of both the screens I just mentioned, and post those (you can just edit your initial post to include them).

About lag, seems that using lots of autotiles on a map can cause stuttering and reduce fps drastically.
If anyone wants to try, fill an empty map (40x23) only with water and try it, it goes from 55 to 35-40 constantly up and down. I tested it both with Yanfly core engine (on 1920x1080) and without any plugins. On the default resolution it goes from 56 to 40 on the same map.
Something is going on with autotiles. -

I'm just going to copy the thread over that people are listing their specs on steam too. that way we can make sure to record them all. -
What antiviren software do you use? It could be an issue.
-
My game goes nice at 60-58. Sometimes has noticeable lag spikes to 53, worries me because when I change size with Yanfly Core and add other plugins the lag spikes get worst. Also when entering battle and opening menu the lag spikes go down to 20 fps, it's horrible, opening the menu is the ugliest thing in MV for me yet.Spoiler

Perhaps people experiencing the lag need a point of reference.
Like, does the editor lag? Does the generated game lag? Does only the Previewing in the editor lag? Did the DEMO on the website lag?
Like it does not lag for me, 2 minutes fresh download from Steam, DLC not installed. I dumped all the plugins in and it still doesn't lag (editor or game)
So there is something in common with the people who are experiencing lag? Does it lag if you download Node-Webkit and overwrite the Windows/MacOS/Linux deployment?
BTW... people looking for a linux build of the game client, Literately just drop Node-Webkit into the directory and run it. -
Hey Archeia, since my PC we ordered a couple of days ago wasn't shipped yet, we decided to cancel it
since it was an AMD and I don't want to risk any continued issues with MV for AMD.
So I searched for a gaming Intel since I need a gaming PC anyways.
And this is most of the specs it should be.
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 745

Everything lags.Perhaps people experiencing the lag need a point of reference.

Editor, Database, Music(Fixed by removing all MP4A), Game.exe/Play Testing.
(as in, sometimes opening a Menu will literally freeze the entire game for 3~5 seconds.)
Walking around on the map feels really slow as if you're using the HTML5 Web version of
the game when we aren't. (Makes no sense.)
None of these things happen in XP, VX, VX Ace.
Plus, there's a memory leak right now. -

Thank god I thought I was the only one with some lags in the game. Usually lag when testing out the play through in the beginning then it's okay from there. So far haven't seen anything that's too much of a big deal but then again haven't really done anything major just testing things around with rpg maker mv. Here are my pc specs though.

For me, there's a bit of lag when map editing, but I can deal with it...
However, when I play test in a map with a lot of auto tiles, the game struggles a lot and becomes really choppy.
I hope it will get fixed eventually, because I don't see how we could make smooth looking games with... some lakes and rivers in it... -
I am having no editor/database lag at all. But my testplay is experiencing horrible lag. Granted I am on Windows 7 with 4gb ram... but everything else I use runs smooth as silk (including a couple of 3d engines I use). I was worried that this was a ram issue, but now seeing that many have 8gb and even 16gb, I am now convinced that the problem is something different.
I am really hoping an easy solution will present itself soon. -
I thought this was just me, as well! I'll add my details in case they help.
For points of reference, I am comparing the following:
- Very small RTP project in MV using a single sample map (Snow Town) which I then modified with auto-tiles to close it off - ie, no road out of town. I experienced the lag, most notably when editing with the auto-tiles.
- My current VX Ace project with multiple resources, including two tilesets, two character packs, 5 scripts, and of course many maps. Zero lag experienced with Ace.
My specs:
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
Core i5-4790K OC'ed @ 4 GHz
16 GB DDR3-1866
ASRock Z97 Pro4 motherboard
Radeon R9 280 3 GB GDDR5
512 GB Crucial MX100 SSD
+ 1 TB WD Black
+ 2 TB WD Green
24" HP ZR24w @ 1920 x 1200 (via DisplayPort)
+ 19" LG L1953H @ 1280 x 1024 (via DVI-D)
Corsair CX750M power supply
Given that I only made one very small and quick RTP project to check out MV, then went back to working on my Ace project, I haven't done any detailed analysis on memory usage or anything like that. I just noticed a bit of lag, saw this thread, and thought I'd add my specs. -
Lag when moving around in-game on my 200x200 world map. Only when moving, but it's pretty noticeable, especially when in a ship or airship. Didn't have any issue in VX Ace.
Windows 10, 12 gigs of memory, i7-2600 CPU, 3.4 GHz, AMD Radeon HD 6450.
