  3. I don't lag a lot, but RPG maker often white/black screens while using menus and such. It goes back and forth from normal, fully white and fully black as i use menus.

Everything is just laggy, and the issue gets worse as I continue to use the engine to the point of unusableness. I'm guessing a memory leak.

i updated my post with RAM
  7. Opening a database tab just takes a bit longer than you'd expect it to, and database stuff is very slightly delayed. It's nothing really bad, and I'm not actually sure if it's supposed to be a little sluggish, but it would be cool if it could be fixed somehow:

  8. Like other said, there's a delay when doing almost everything, opening the database, mapping, etc. There's a memory leak too.

    My system:

    Mother ASUS

    i7 2600k @3.40 GHz

    16gb Ram @1600 MHz

ATI - r280x (latest stable drivers)

    850w PSU

    HD: 1 128gb SSD, 1 1tb and 1 500gb
  9. Everything lags for me. Opening Database, loading the Music Tracks in the game and sound test, even the Animation Sounds lag more than they should.. It's painful.

  10. Hope this can help at least a bit.
  11. I have no lag, but the editor freezes when I try to edit an Ex-Parameter trait. I hope it's okay if I have a non-English version of Windows.

  14. I really appreciate your help in this Archeia. :thumbsup-right:
  15. Yep, you definitely got a memory leak. I've had the memory usage jump by 10K just by opening and closing the database in succession. Also I've gotten the memory usage to jump by 10 - 20K just by going down the tabs in order on the database, then closing it.

So in other words, I could have MV taking up 200 K of memory, open the database and it will jump to 220K, then when I close it, it only goes back down to 210K. Next time I open it, it can then jump to 230K, then drop to 220K when closed. Needless to say, that extra 10K that is not being deallocated adds up fast.

By comparison, I have VX Ace open, and it has been using up a nice 78 - 79K for the entire day.

Edit: Can't find the screen to do the same copy/paste the others are, and the one I have shows my windows serial number, so I'll type them in here manually:

  16. I'm experiencing lags when switching between Database tabs and while painting on the map. If I want to do a longer stroke, the first tile is placed, but before the next ones follow, there's a small delay.

    Tested on two machines:

    1:

    CPU: i7 4771

    Motherboard: MSI Z87I GAMING AC

    GPU: GeForce GTX 760

    RAM: 8GB

    OS: Win7 Home Premium 64bit

    2:

    CPU: i7 3770

Motherboard: some Gigabyte with P67 chipset

    GPU: GeForce GTX 650

    RAM: 8GB

    OS: Win7 Professional 64bit
  17. I get lag spikes when I try to edit/add any events.

I get some lag when going through the database.

I also get some lag when it comes to the sounds/animations.

  18. I'm not having any lag issues so far, nor do I have any signs of a memory leak. I haven't tried it on my desktop yet to see if I have any issues there. (Note: I configured the laptop to always use the nVidia chip.)

Edit: Wanted to add that MV's memory usage, while it varies, seems to stay within 250-285 MB. Also, the one place I notice what seems to be lag is in the window menu (i.e. File Edit Mode Draw...).

Edit 2: Someone  mentioned a map with a lot of water giving them lag. I do in fact suffer a ton of lag in that instance. For instance, going to the coast and having most f one side of the screen full of ocean, will cause the characters to stutter significantly between each step.

  19. I'm only getting lag during mapping, everything else runs fine.

    OS: Windows 7

    CPU: AMD A10-5800k Trinity Quad-Core 3.8GHz

    GPU: Geforce GTX 650 Ti

    RAM: 8GB

    HDD: 1TB

    PSU: 460W

EDIT: I guess I should say I was working with the Trial version !!
  20. I'm getting lag in both small and large projects, along with some crashes. My largest project has an expanded database at 3000 for skills, and about 1000 for most other things, and will immediately cause a crash if I open the database and then close it. This project also takes about 2-3 minutes to load, and makes the program unresponsive at first. I'm also noticing crashes or extreme lag if I switch between maps too quickly, like by holding down the down arrow. This map swapping has crashed me even in a much smaller project with less than 10 maps and a very small database.

Occasionally getting lag when I click to make a new event as well.

In playtesting, but not in game externally, it lags heavily on projects small and large, most prominently when when opening/closing menus and attacking in battle.

Computer is older, but specs are moderately high.
