  1. Hihi all! :kaohi:

I haven't seen this question be asked here before (unless I'm blind *.*) and I got curious!

The way I came up with my username is pretty personal, but let's just say that a little fox told me the name Arisa was cute and I liked it. I added "chan" to the end of it so it would expand on the kawaiiness! :kaoluv:

And well, there you have it, sorta. xD

I'm curious to see other answers! :ohappy::ohappy:
  2. My name is Amy, and I like dinosaurs.
  3. I was always into my family tree, which I am doing actually when I have the time.. I have my four great grandfather placed in Kentucky born in 1810 and I wanted to find my Scottish roots (found out it was four great grandfather, Thomas Vipond from Scotland). So, I looked up traditional Scottish names and since I was the daughter of .. Nicnubill. Daughter of Noble. Which happens to be my real last name actually, but Caitlin isn't; more like a pen name now.
  4. I like hockey.
  5. Name of a character from a group of magical girls I thought up a few years ago. I've long since abandoned the story they were originally part of, but have considered putting them in other stories or projects since then. I think they might end up as part of one of the projects I'm working on now.

(By the way, my avatar is Seiryuu from Touhou Shining Shooting Star, it doesn't go with the character!)
  6. I was originally always the Redneck Philosopher online but in the past few years that's caused a lot of weird problems with people getting all kinds of odd ideas about and bashing me out of unfounded presumptions for it so I came up with Philosophus Vagus; which is a sloppy, butchered Latin phrase translating to "Vagrant Philosopher" roughly. It's not technically correct as such but I feel the intentional butchering brings it closer to form with my original namesake while (thus far) avoiding the weirdos who automatically associate the original name with all kinds of offensive idiosyncrasies that I must therefore be a perpetuate of because that's what they'd mean if they were to call someone that.
  7. I was planning on using this account just to lurk, so I made myself the 'hidden one'. Apparently just lurking didn't suit me in the long run. :rswt
  8. D, A & N are first letters in my full name. Dan is much easier to foreigners to pronounce.
  9. My name was the last name of a knight in one of my unfinished RPG Maker games in 2012.
Somehow i started to use it as my nickname online, before that i just had various names.
  10. I have no clue. I was like 5, and I guess I just stuck with it. The 171 I chose because it was an easy number to remember, and the username Nutty was already taken.
  11. I always liked the letter Q, so most of my usernames usually start with a Q. My dev name before was Quasi, but I wanted to rebrand and I was going to use Queue. But Queue was taken at most places so then I was like I might as well make something more unique by merging Queue + Axios (one of my fav words) and I ended up with Quxios
  12. Kyoku was the name of my first protagonist for a game.:kaojoy:
And, for all my other usernames, I stuck with the letter K for fun.
  13. I AM a stranger. xD The Stranger is also one of the many names of a mythical figure in a book I published back in my early twenties.
  14. Taarna is a character from the (decidedly not PG-13 - research this underdressed heroine at own risk) animated movie Heavy Metal. 23 is a number involved with chaos in fractals, but I don't really remember any details - I learned it when I was like 15 or 16, and I am now past twice that age.
  15. Haha, well, kind of a funny story, LOL. The "Hex" is a reference to a game I started playing in like, 5th grade called "Super Hexagon". That game improved my reflexes, made me better at softball and music, and was part of my inspiration to become a game dev.
The Mozart is a general reference to music, because I'm a composer (though nowhere near as good as Mozart, LOL).
The 88 is actually not my birth year, as I know many of you think I'm 29 because of that part. It's another music reference, this time referring to the fact that I play the piano (88 is the amount of keys on a normal piano).
  16. My name is jon, and am in a forum ! :mrsatan:
  17. LOL, I love how most of these are very simple answers, and then there are people like me and @Philosophus Vagus writing paragraphs.
  18. Back in the days when I played naruto-arena.com I had a match with this guy who just pwned me in the most elegant and amazing way. I wasn't even upset, the way we won was actually pretty good. His name was "Orb" and I thought "hell even his name is sick", so I took it for myself lol

edit: @hiddenone god, how did I miss that? LOL, I've been pronouncing your name wrong the whole time
  19. My name is Rob H. R.

As for all my other names...
My pen name "Kit Carruthers" is a reference to Terrence Malick's film "Badlands." Also where the top image in my sig is from.
My musical projects... The Dry Path is such an obscure reference I rarely even let on that it's a reference. It's to one particular moment in Andrei Tarkovsky's film "Stalker."
Other musical project... "Offret" is a reference to Andrei Tarkovsky's film "The Sacrifice."
Other other musical project "O Beautiful Death" is just something I thought up and thought it sounded cool. It actually wasn't until later that I realized I write about death a lot.
  20. I was born into a household of trouble. I was also fully rescued by God and his word. So, I'm just one witness to his goodness. (just1witness)
