@dollcheesecakes I like the overall look of everything. I don't have any real experience making maps and I'm not super critical, but the one thing that strikes me is the comparative proportions of everything.
The chair looks very...big...compared to the bed while the standing closet seems a bit small compared to the bucket. So I would look at the size of everything compared to everything else. If that makes sense.

@dollcheesecakes errythin' looks pretty unified to me, 'cept the painting, is that a placeholder? :kaoswt: I wud maybe play up the legs on the bed a li'l bit, as it is, it looks almost like it's got no legs at all?

(Message too large for being posted as a status)
Originally, I just wanted to give Jack Street Poker some kind of graphical overhaul to make the game look nicer and keep everything as is. Then I started working on it and now it turns out to be a completely new and better game.
Besides chips, you now also get points for each poker hand played. Point amount per hand is depending on how good the outcome was (pair, straight, flush...). These points are used to buy even more chips as packages in the new ingame store. You can even buy discount cards to be able to get things much cheaper in the store permanently.
Thanks to @kyonides not just being a great guy at all and passionate scripter, but also supporting me a lot, I finally got my shop to look exactly how I wanted it.
There's a great game coming your way, guys.

@dollcheesecakes I have merged your screenshot into the screenshot thread.

@dollcheesecakes at first I thought there wuz way too much red in yo palette, but wid the lighting effects in place, it actually looks pretty nice! :kaoluv: Wud you consider flippin' the character portrait around tho, or movin' it to the right side? My eye just catches on the fact she on the left edge of screen and lookin' away :kaoswt:
-
haha thank you :) the lighting is a goldish light added in shiny places + additive effect and low opacity with a dark purpleish shadow. its a queen of hearts palace so i thought red would be fitting@dollcheesecakes at first I thought there wuz way too much red in yo palette, but wid the lighting effects in place, it actually looks pretty nice! :kaoluv: Wud you consider flippin' the character portrait around tho, or movin' it to the right side? Some more screenies of the Waste-Town sewer... You know it's bad when the screen turns purple from psychic influence, or the radiation level is similar to what the workers in Chernobyl experienced on the roof of Reactor 4 (the player is standing on a gravitational anomaly which hardens the sewage so they can walk on it, but it's still terrible for your health).

First, I like your art style and the overall appearance of the scene. Just a couple things stand out to me.i accept feedback
#1 It may have been intentional for your character, but grammatically, it should be "fallen" instead of "fell."
#2 The windows seem unnaturally close to the door, which may have been intentional as well.
#3 The wall clock seems low compared to the windows, which also may have been intentional.
#4 The mirror seems like a wall mirror that is standing on the floor, which may have been intentional.
I think it might look better if the widows were moved a bit away from the door and if the clock was moved a bit farther away and a bit higher up as well.
But that is just my opinion based on what stands out to me.
Very nice though. -
i will fix these. thank you! :yhappy:

@cthulhusquid is that one dude just hangin' in the irradiated sewer like, "yo, I'm needin' sum of dis vibe in my life" :kaoswt: Also, hard to tell by the screenshots alone, but I'm hopin' yo mapping isn't just boxes connected by straight corridors?
-
It's a sewer, so of course its going to be corridors :kaoswt:...The guy's fishing for scrap he can sell, but also just chillin'. He's a mutant, so he doesn't care about the radiation. (ignore the body double guys, they only appear if you didn't interact with them previously before you started shooting up their gang members)@cthulhusquid is that one dude just hangin' in the irradiated sewer like, "yo, I'm needin' sum of dis vibe in my life" :kaoswt: Also, hard to tell by the screenshots alone, but I'm hopin' yo mapping isn't just boxes connected by straight corridors?
This is what the sewer currently looks like.

@BunBlitz love the pixelart!
How do the top and bottom screen relate to each other? Did you start out with the monochrome one? Because I really like that style -
Usually, I start with a simple sketch of what I have in mind, then- I start by doing a monocrome version so I keep an eye on the details: the outline is black, white for a general color, and a blue-ish gray for the basic shadows. I do this with every map and tileset, so the final version is more consistent.@BunBlitz love the pixelart!

So yes! The version on top is the early version, while the one down is the final result. I'm glad you like them :kaoblush: -
@BunBlitz I like the clean look and subdued palette!:kaoluv: Wuz the lack of visible windows by design? If not, I wud prolly try 'n see if you can't put in some windows, too!
-
Yup-! It's by desing, there are windows, but they're not visible due to the top down view of the game, however, i'll add some lighting so it's more noticeable. However, thanks for telling, most of the time I forgot to add windows. :kaoswt2:@BunBlitz I like the clean look and subdued palette!:kaoluv: Wuz the lack of visible windows by design? Here's the (messy) sketch I made for the house, I'm no architect so I'm sorry for any logical mistake

It's been awhile since I've posted anything related to That Accursed Tree, but here are some screenshots using the Elves Fantasy tileset.

@Ninjakillzu very cool vibes, sweetheart!:kaoluv: It's a total and complete overload of green, but somehow it doesn't bother me but instead feels peaceful and mysterious!
