Hello
@Mickychi, first, thanks for playing!!
Hey I am a bit confused/lost with the game there are two houses left that I've yet to open - the one with the note and the one above that one. Are all the houses unlockable in the current game version?
Only one building should be unlockable, the one on the left down corner (note on door). It's supposed to be your future furniture shop, closed in current version of the game. So I think you didn't opened bakery then?
Now the game is enjoyable overall but I've got to admit that the village, particularly the villagers just feel flat to me.
Sadly, I have to agree, I wanted to make it more lively and trying to improve that with cutscenes and so... but as I said, I agree for now. Will add day schedules, cutscenes, etc. in the future I think.
Nitpicks:
- Character's feel flat, they repeat the same lines with no variation even as the village progresses, for instance there's no feeling of characters reuniting after not seeing each other for so long. One thing especially that annoyed me was the Inn keeper, sweet at the very beginning but ultimately feels like she wants you to fix things (which I get but it comes off lacking heart).
I'm happy that you said that, I didn't mean to make it heartless later in the game. She's a sweet old lady of course! What message gave you that feel? Or maybe it's because the cutscene with the phone? Or lack of dialogues?
- Village itself feels isolated, even as you progress there's no villagers walking around enjoying the village coming back to life so it still feels empty
Yes, I agree, I improve that after adding some day schedules for villagers.
- Shops immediately stock shelves feeling - maybe make this in progression with the villagers/village coming back, cause it kinda gives the feeling with some shops that they are opening in full gear without the necessary customer base for business
Sounds interesting!
- HOW MANY ITEMS DO YOU WANT? It's annoying to have to guess how many of x item villagers want, especially if you make so many and then find out it's either too much or not enough. It'd be nice if the villagers outright said how many things they need.
Okay, I'll add that. You can always sell your furniture on the dock (after you build it).
- It gets really annoying having to use the Grid over and over again, it be nice if you could at least implement a repeat function where you only have to make the pattern once then so long as you still have the supplies can simply press repeat to make the same item.
Yes, someone has already pointed that to me. I'm trying to implement it.
- Time system - I can see the day progresses but can't pause even when I look into the bag/recipes?
Will check that.
- Ore refining price out of wack (possibly also some other items but I didn't notice anything too bad, maybe just the more time intensive recipes lacking higher prices to sell than you'd expect, and the bed linen was a bit weird as it costed more to buy the linen than what you received for the entire bed) 100 gold to refine 1 ore or 35 gold to purchase? I took the cheaper option and ended up with too many Ores in my bag just sitting there.
Thanks for pointing that out! I'll try to balance that.
Questions:
- Does the game have a clear ending yet? If so how do I get the key to the house above the one with a note on the door?
Yeah, it's supposed to...had a clear ending. A door with note on them is locked, like above, it's supposed to be your future shop. You need to stay with that one unopened building.
- I only experienced one type of weather but was it supposed to rain?
Yeah, there was a rainy days! It should be still ^^' Will check that.
- How many levels are in the mine and are there particular levels with more of certain materials? Speaking of which I only came across Iron, Stone, Iron Ore, and Marble but I have only gone to about level 20 something.
Mine levels are generated randomly, I think I didn't set max level yet, but will confirm that. Ore you found was all for now, I want to add precious gems later, but I have to find a use for them.
