  1. Are you in need of a crabby pet for your heroes? A sidekick that makes them feel the pinch of difficult situations? One that claws through all the issues with them? Someone with a hard shell and a soft core?

Part of me wanted to stash it away for December, but I dunno, who knows what life will have in stack until then.
This matches the default crab battler and I recommend using hiddeone's amazing char to go with it.

  2. lol, that crying emotion is great. Fantastic job as always!
  3. I love your Kitt character sheet.
Could you make more sprites of these characters?
    Such as battlers or portraits.
  4. Seeing your Ladies of the Moon, Sun and Stars now has me thinking...would there ever be Lords of the Land, Sea and Sky? Complete with temples dedicated to them? I'm kinda curious.

    maybe next advent
  6. Escalator.gif
Should've probably stashed it away for advent, but whatever.

How does one make an escalator? Bascially, you can either have an event charset or use autotiles on A1. If I have the space, I always prefer using autotiles, since it allows me to use my solution across various lengths and widths without having to pieve together a new setup either in a graphic program or out of multiple events (which can then influence performance and all that).

As you can see, there is a "tiling middle piece", a top and a bottom piece each, all or course for going up and down.
In the top, the stairs sink down and on the bottom, they lift up, as they do in real escalators.
For the handrail I went with a static piece, since while there is movement, it is not that visible aside from small blemishes or stains, since each part looks the same in each configuration.

    nicu very nicu ceasar-chan
  8. That escalator is incredible! Everything you create, especially the animated graphics, are amazing. But, this escalator.... beyond amazing!

Loosely inspired by a resource request (loosely since I am pretty sure that is not what was asked for, but came to my mind):
    Animated clouds/fog for the worldmap!
I am really happy I got that wobbling right :3
I guess those could be either clouds or be used to cover unexplored areas. Or maybe you use them as a worldmap piece to show where heaven is?

    Thank you, @Lady_JJ !♥
  10. Took a little trial and error (never claimed to be the brightest bulb on the tree) but I finally figured out how to walk under the clouds. Really cool stuff, @Avery ! Now I just need to brainstorm a puzzle idea where you need to turn the storm clouds to fair weather clouds before you can reach your destination. Thank you!

May I use and edit this to achieve what I'm looking for? @Avery
  12. I have a pretty long (mental) list by now of people:
-who don't bother to say thank you when I (or actually anyone) try to help them
-just seem to pop in here with their "suggestions" without leaving actual nice words
-don't even bother to answer when someone tries to help them

Since for me that only leads to frustration and feeling like I am a knowledge and resource dispenser instead of a human helping another human, I simply don't bother for these people then anymore.

On that note a bigh thank you to those who do not fall into those categories, especially those who accompanied me through advent with actual joy and fun. You make me not just give a middlefinger and go away when I write a page long explanation how to solve an issue and never get an answer.

I don't want to start a discussion, but with how life is as is it is right now, I choose to only make things here that acually give me joy and try to avoid those that make me not happy.
(That does not stem from one thread/post, I could create a whole link list that make me -_- just for the start of 2026)
  13. I thank you for your work and words to me to help me find what I'm looking for, same to @Lady_JJ
I am not the best people person when it comes to social interactions. I appreciate any help from this community that I can get :)
  14. I'm always amazed by the work you've done and appreciate the resources greatly Avery. For real, you're an amazing artist, thank you.
  15. You know I just want to say thank you for all your hard work since you do so much for this community.
  16. I really appreciate your art and everything you do... if I'm on that list of yours then I'm terribly sorry. Autism makes it hard to properly find my words when speaking to people, even as I type, but I'm trying so hard to improve my communication skills so I don't come off as rude or just plain stupid.
If there's any way I can improve how I speak to you, please, by all means, let me know. The last thing I want is to be ignored by one of my favorite asset designers.
  17. I think I have a total of seven messages on the entire time I have been on this forum (eight with this one, yay!) because I've always been the kind of person who prefers to lurk rather than interact with people.

However, while I generally tend to... Well, shamelessly download whatever free asset I might get my hands on, yours are the ones I always like the most. You even have your own folder, unlike everyone else who have their assets shoved into a general one.

What I'm trying to say, in my own awkward way is thank you. For all of your hard work, your passion, your creativity, and all you have done for this community, those who have been part of it, those who will be part of it, and any random person on the internet who has ever downloaded RPG Maker, because chances are they will download your stuff at some point of their lives, because you are that good and have exactly what they need.

Most (read: ALL) of the stuff I've made with your assets (read: With RPG Maker in general) has never gone far enough for me to actually back up my words with tangible results, something that can tell you that yes, your stuff has been used for someone who appreciates it, but I hope my words manage to express my feelings of gratitude towards you.

Well, gotta go back to lurking.
  18. I just want to say that you are important, you mean a lot, you are great person and never treated you as a "resource dispenser". I see you always as a kind-hearted girl, always trying to help the others and doing her best using her great skills. Just letting you know in hope you're gonna feel better after reading this!
  19. I'm usually just a lurker but I just wanted to say Thank you Avery for your constant hard work and contributions and talent. I hope you have a wonder 2026! (and of course all the many more years to come :D)

Your work is always clean and amazing - eye for color schemes is always on point
  20. @Avery On one hand it's a huge compliment to your talents, but on the other hand some of those folks behavior is very disappointing and at times down right disrespectful. And it's not just that, it's the boldness of the rudeness.. I see it here and in the resource requests..
    "Look this up for me!"
"Make this for me" *made it for them* "[no 'thank you'] That's not exactly what I saw in my head. Try again."

    It's not cool.
You really should only do the things that put a smile on your heart!! <3
Share the things you enjoy! :) You truly are talented and I don't know how you put up with some of these rando internet strangers making demands sometimes.
How many times have I tried to tell ya just focus on what you love to do. You're amazing at it and it's so fun to watch you grow through your work.
