  1. Great creations as usual.
I don't get gifts in real life anymore, but here I look forward to Avery's gifts every year.
    Thank you Avery!

I have one question. What's the difference between thses two faces?
I mean the left one apparently is the normal face, but what about the right one?
What kind of emotion is it?
I notice there's a slight difference locating around the top right corner of the orange/red circle, but other than that, they look kinda the same to me.
    Did I miss something or?

  2. He looks angry in the third one.
It's a subtle difference, but it does change the expression.
  3. I love the contrast between the purple ghosties and the tones of orange/red found in the gums and eye of the book (new sentence). It’s very Halloween, but also a striking color scheme on its own. Those warm tones in particular leave a lot of impact as it cycles through the expressions.

The dolls are gorgeous. I love how different each one looks. The possession idea is very creative. I could also see them embodying different personality archetypes given how unique each one is!
  4. Ahh, those are perfect! I love them, thank you so much! :wub
  5. So many spooky resources! I love how many details you put into the book, its teeth look perfect. And the walking dolls and behaviors are gonna add so many scares to horror game!

the difference, which is quite subtle, is that the further right image suggests focus or concentration on something in particular, or possibly thought or consideration, maybe doubt. the leftmost image is more "open" and thus indicates a more open / permissive emotional stance (which is kind of funny to think about considering the nature of the creature), or it could simply be less "mindful" insofar as it does not indicate concentration

So, as everybody who followed another calendar of mine knows already, the 6th is always a special day because it is St Nicholas. I might already have delivered some presents to those who behaved well in real life already, so it is time for yours!

Since it is a special day for me, it should be for you, too, and so I digged through my stash and pulled out one of my favourites in there - the modular bow icons.

Call me crazy, but I always just hope people actually use them, because I know the modular icons are a little more work than copy and paste... cause they are "look what you like and then copy and paste a few times". But I am hopeful they make it into a game of yours? Let me know! ;D
And as always, I would love to see your favourite combinations!

This time I cannot even calculate how many options there are, since you can basically mix higlight colors or use any colored arrow with any other bow and so on. I feel like equipment variations are the biggest thing my set might be lacking for RPGs and at least I guess I'll never hear someone say they don't have enough bows to use.

  8. Ooooh, modular bow icons. Modular icons are really cool. Yeah they take a bit more work, but it's so worth it.
  9. Your icons are the best. More modular stuff is great!
  10. EEE! Modular bows! I have to find a ways to use this now!
  11. Love modular icons. It would be even better if we can have modular weapons.:rheh:
  12. Avery did make some on other threads. I'll have to go find them, but I have a bunch of her modular icons already. I just can't post them here without Avy's permission.
  13. The spooky Possessed Dolls are a real scream, Avery. They can be great for a classic evil spirit, or maybe a sweeter Toy Story-esque approach where the toys are enchanted and just sweet things, or maybe the Heros soul was put into the Doll and they have to figure out how to get back to their proper form. Lots of possibilities.

As for Day 6, I love your modular icons. All of them. I really do! And I love bows. I'm rather partial. This set is just fantastic. Thank you for so many options we can choose from to craft the bow for our needs.

You know, it's funny. I've been getting caught up on your advent posts so I just saw days 2 - 6 now.
When I saw your signs I thought "Huh, I'm surprised she didn't make a modular version of this."
And here you are making modular bows.

Maybe post Advent after a few weeks of recovery, modular signs might be useful.

P.s. last year the gift of a weeping willow that's now populating my game's forest, now you have given the gift of gorgeous light posts to brighten my town. Thanks for sponsoring my game's art
  15. Modular stuff!!! :D Always my favourite. No use for bows at this moment but I still want them. ;)
  16. Modular weapons icons are among my favourite resources. Thank you so much for this superb addition.
  17. Really loving the modular bows. :D I'll have to actually make an RPG someday so I can use them.
  18. The modular icons are legit my favorite. I’m very slow at making…everything. But, the modular icons always go into a happy little folder.

I would say, today we make a nice reset... and just do what we did on day one: Have some pretty angel battlers and a bunch of icons ;D

For the icons, there are several ways you can use them: first, there is the obvious one, a weather system. But then, you can also use them for wind and water skills, and the fog icon for a blur skill. You can also use sun and moon for a day/night system and I bet there is much more you can do with them if you think about it!

I was really happy that you enjoyed the angel battlers on the first day, so today they get some minions... or are they the minions and these small innocent looking ladies are just the masterminds?
If you used @Guardinthena heaven tileset from last year and really lacked something to make this beautiful place a little more dangerous... the angels are willing to help ;3

  20. The weather themed icons are lovely and go well with your little angel battlers. I know I mentioned it before, but she really reminds me of the little angel from the XP RTP. She's lovely and deserves the world.
