The rolling pig animation is awesome! Now I need to figure out a way to incorporate it into my game...

I looove that rolling animation, so cute.
Now how about a spotted pig? -
Today is the 4th advent sunday
That means several things - firstly, that is is less a week til christmas! Second, that this calendar is nearly over! D:
And lastly, that we have another of my favourite days, as I tried to make the sundays even more special, day 19 is as well!
Welcome to the library, the place where you can find any knewledge you need!
It is spread among many shelves, stored on top of them and maybe there is a librarian behind that large desk that would help you out?
Of course only if you behave and stay quiet!
You can even built multi-level rooms, have open books on stands (which could also be gimmicks at other places, like you gain exp or snippets of lore there) and I am so happy with how the windows turned out! I kept them kinda modular, so you can mix and match the different tops and choose how tall they are.
The dishes are kinda random, my first plan was to just make furniture with that wood... talking about the wood, that was the piece that started that set. Do you recognize what was my editing base for a lot of the things on this set?
-
Aw, yeah, books galore and rotated chairs. :D
-
Wow, super cool! Love the library tileset!
-
My characters are going to need Vit D supplements, 'cuz, yeah, they aren't venturing outside for a while now. It's just way too lovely in this library!
-
I love your resources so much! I've noticed that there are almost no tilesets out there for "tiny" areas, like a fairy village or an area where your heroes get shrunk and everything is way bigger than normal. Maybe that would be cool?
-
You already know how much I love Sir Oinker's expressions, and that library set is just amazing. :kaoluv: I can't wait to see what comes next.
-
You might remember how I restored the default dog's tail and ears in the past here.
And of course, if you want to use that one, you have no matching face, right?
Nope!
On day 20, there are some other edits that every animal lover could benefit from:
First, the Dobermann with the ears how they are supposed to be!
And then...
Yeah, I realized that by shortening the legs and overworking the shape and adding a lot more fuzzy fur, we get a really cute dachshound!
He is ready for your run-in with a hunter in the forest or as your character's adorable pet!
I just felt like maybe you don't want every dog in your game to be a dobermann xD
-
I love it! I'm sad that it's just 4 days left.... T_T We need all-year-long calendar! :D
-
The dachshound is so cute! Thank you for giving us some proper dogs
-
Phew, you might notice, I get less and less wordy, this december really drains my energy and I am usually dead tired when I write these posts^^' I still read and appreciate all comments!
Day 21
Today we have something that originated from me kinda liking this gate, but not that we just have the gate and that it slides insteads of swings.
So I cleaned up the actual pixel work of the gate as there were many semi-transprent stray pixels that I did not want to have in my base, and then I turned it into this nice brickwall-iron-fence, which suits your local library, graveyard or upper class private house!
The gate also swings open into all directions, so you can enter from all sides, if you wan t to!
As addition I have this collection of A4 walls, for example there is one that goes with this fence and the brick pillar that you can find in my SciFi_B set, one that matches one of the Fantasy pillars, the three on the top left match my gate from last year...
And more proper stone walls, I have no clue how the default ones can be so grimey and weird, well, you don't have to use them anymore now :3
The longer I think about it, I might make a recolor of those upper left to match the stone pillars and recolor them to the brown shade as well... maybe. Is there interest for bringing those together as kind of a set? -
Just when I think I don't need anymore walls you prove me wrong! And yes, matching stone pillars to go with would be awesome. :)
-
I really love your work. Your dragons will appear in the game I'm currently working on.
I even found a good way to use one as character even without a battler sprite.
Dragons can take human form and she will only show her true form in skills and
when she helps the party with coming around with flying. -
In case you wonder why I post a unicorn just like the one in the RTP, here is a little visualisation:
And that is how this whole day happened. Fixing this unicorn until I was happy with it took me so long that I though... yeah, now I need to make more with that. And so I did :3 Have fun with the herd on day 22!
-
I always thought that the rtp unicorn with all those markings was at best a bit too masculine and at worst grotesque. But, then, it is listed as an enemy. Still, I really prefer the softer look you've given it. It's good to have choices and great to have more animals. :)
That pinto is just gorgeous! -
Same, I think all the default RTP things in MZ are kind of... "too much". I love Avery's version of these things, where colours are subdued (not sure it's the right word...) and some ugly things are fixed (like the forest tileset).

So many cool things I've missed! :kaoluv:
I really love the horse battlers, they're so beautiful. Do they have matching sprites yet? -
Ah, I wish I had the time to map something, because the library and the beautiful fence gate call out to me. Love the set!
-
Today on day 23 I have something very special, I set that I both love and worry about, as it is much less plug and play then anything else from the calendar...
This giant sheet with plenty of pieces is a modular key/earring/necklace/medal/collar set with 26 different charms to attatch to them. The possibilities are endless, especially since you can also tack two different charms on the same set of earrings if you like...
How to use it:
Open it for example in Gimp and pick the two colors you like and merge them by copy and paste
Then pick a charm and a base and merge them by copy and paste
If you have trouble to get the right position, you can use a snapping 8x8 grid, this will allow all the possible positions for the charms.
And now... well, go ahead, have fun!
Here is a handful of random combinations I just made as examples!
No matter if you want to go full resident evil on the keys, need to equip a feline or canine party member, want some nice extra accessoirs, need jewlery for a quest or want to use medals instead of necklaces as accessoirs on your paladin... the possibilities are endless!
And feel free to post your favourite combination in the thread here (I know, usually no repost, but I'd like to see which is your favourite!)
