    Good afternoon RPG Maker Forums!

    The intention for today's release isn't so much a battle animation as it is just a utility animation, but I guess it's possible to use this in battle as well?

    Enjoy!

    Seems like a great "teleport out", would there be a way to make something similiar with "teleport in"?
  4. Do what I do- just put the frames in reverse order.

    Why don't you just do the same animation backwards?
  6. These are beautiful. Thanks so much! For some reason, though, I can't seem to find the files for White Magic (or its .json file if it's individual) ?? Am I just somehow missing the post or...? I downloaded the latest group batch (both images and .json) but it doesn't seem to be in here. Unless it's under a different name? edit: It seems like Black Magic is here as 'Cast2' but there doesn't seem to be a Cast1 animation in the bundle, or in the posts. I can only find it as a gif in the first post. I really want this one pls halp ;A;

    Also...does anyone know how I can transfer the animation data to my current project? When copy-pasting one of these animations from a new game file to my current one, all it saves is the name and the images that it uses. The animation itself is completely missing. Do I have to try to recreate it from scratch? thanks for any and all help!  I'm an idiot and forgot to also copy the image files over to the other project folder, my bad. lmfao
  7. Good evening RPG Maker Forums!

    I've just finished my last exam for my MBA degree today and will finally be done with school forever... probably. No plans for a PhD... yet...

    That being the case, I'll be transitioning into a new phase in life over the next few months, and frankly I don't know how much free time I'll have once I start working full-time again. However, I remain committed to making both my own game as well as animations, and so I'm happy to announce that The Animations Archive will be back in business starting next week!

    While this isn't completely set-in-stone yet, I'm anticipating a new one-release-per-week schedule going forward. I understand that a lot of you might be disappointed by this, so let me address the reasons behind this decision.

    First, of course, is the full-time job that I mentioned above. Without knowing how my new career is going to impact the other aspects of my life, I'm anticipating the worst and assuming that I'll only have the weekend to really do anything creative.

    Second, while I originally started this thread to share the animations I made for my own game, I quickly realized that this wasn't going to work. Most of the animation in my game combines advanced Action Sequencing (courtesy of Yanfly) and customized settings in a way that makes it virtually impossible for anyone else to simply download the asset and expect it to plug-and-play out of the box. While I do enjoy making original pieces strictly for this thread and the community, the unexpected volume of additional work involved became the problem. As a result, for most of February and March, I prioritized this thread and stuck to the release schedule, but the deviation ended up costing me to neglect working on my own game.

    Finally, in addition to this thread and my game, there's a third animation-related project that also needs a large time investment, for good reasons. Some of you may remember from a while ago that I mentioned working on something that I couldn't disclose yet. I'm excited to say that, if my sources are correct, this surprise will be unveiled in the very near future.

    Due to these reasons, I feel that the reduction is necessary for both adhering to the schedule in the long-term, as well as maintaining consistent quality throughout.

    With all that said, thank you for both your patience as well as understanding, and please look forward to the surprise as well as the new and revamped Animations Archive coming soon.

    Sincerely,

    Is great that you're back! I was missing your animations... XD

    I can't wait to see what else you come up with! :)
  10. Yes, I'm super thrilled that you are now back!
  11. I'm glad you back :)
  12. I haven't looked at your topic in quite a while and just spent about half an hour looking through pages of amazing animations! I'm really excited about some of the Sci-Fi-esque stuff near the end. Actually, just watching them gave some ideas for my game and I think that's a testament to good resources - when they can inspire new ideas! Anyway, great work and welcome back and congrats on the degree! And stop apologizing for not posting - we all have real lives and understand that they get in the way of the fun here some times. :p

    Thank you very much for the kind words! They mean a lot!

    As far as the apologizing is concerned, well, I can't help but feel that I'm committing the great crime of over-promising and under-delivering and disappointing my "fans" who are looking forward to my releases... I dunno, maybe I'm being way too self-conscious.
  14. I get it - people tell me I apologize too much all the time too. :p

    But, the best way to handle is don't promise - just release stuff when you can. You don't owe anyone here a single thing and if you never made another thing to post here again, that's your prerogative to do so. So instead of a posting schedule, I'd just recommend a general "I'll post when I get new stuff to post", especially as, I'd imagine, it will take a while for you to get into a good routine with all the changes it seems you have coming up.

    I signed up because of this.  Your animations are amazing!  I just joined today, and I'm glad to see such an active support and forum.  I am definitely a fan, and can't wait to see what else you come up with.
  16. Animations, yeeeeesssssss. Shame they're not for VX Ace too. :(

    I don't have the equivalent of the animations.json for VX Ace, but the animation sheets are usable in VX Ace too.
  18. Good morning RPG Maker Forums!

    In celebration of the release of my first asset pack, "Animations Collection I: Quintessence", I'm proud to announce the official restarting of this thread as well! Please expect weekly updates to happen on Sundays from now on. Without any further ado:

    ==========

    Making the 27 animations in Quintessence has taught me quite a lot and have further refined the quality of my animations. As a result, the complexity and number of components in each animation have risen quite dramatically. Therefore, I have decided for the time being to stop releasing component sheets due to the amount of extra work involved. The newest version of the animations.json will remain on the opening thread on the first page.

    Since people have been asking for some sort of non-elemental magic effect, this week's release features one such interpretation of that. This effect could also be used in sci-fi/high-tech settings as well:

    What does the animations.json do?

    p.s. congrats on your pack, it looks great
