Hey everyone. With the release of MV I've taken on the idea of doing MV battlers. These will be different from my other ones. Differences are below: - These battlers are all side view. - These battlers will take on a more universally cartoony look. Sorry to those who liked my gorier stuff, but this time I aim to have a more consistent style. These are free for non-commercial or commercial use with RPG Maker MV, VX Ace, VX, or any RPG Maker. Please notify me via PM on how to credit me for their use, but be sure to actually have a GAME NEAR COMPLETION before asking! If you do not show me some evidence of a game well along in production I will ignore your message, because I can only assume you have just started on your game. Here's a suggestion from someone who doesn't like the side-view battle system: Maybe you could try to stick more to that diagonal view and avoid full sideview? The trees are great examples. The boar, on the other hand, can ONLY be used in a sideview battle system, which makes it unusable for some people who prefer the frontview.
In that case, I'd say go use Thalzon's other battlers! He's got a bunch of 'em, and they're perfect for front view!

Will we see the Ace monsters redone on MV quality? Some of them were simply amazing and I'd love to see them again.

Is the large tree meant to be any particular species? I am totally using that for my second boss, and that might help me think of a good name for it.

When I discovered your preMV battlers, I found the number of them even more amazing than their great quality. Now that I am here watching the number of your MV battlers growing, just astounds me. Really, respect of your relentless work.

As a small sidenote, I really hope you and Tyler Warren will not stop creating front view battlers, because they are great to use in dialogues of VN parts in RM and I am speculating that people will add much more VN elements into MV than in older RMs.

Nice work Thalzon, I love the alarune monster and the look on that moose is boss worthy. Also that tunipy monster has amazing balancing skills.

As usual you remain an inspiration to other artists like myself who attempt to follow in your battler footsteps. :thumbsup-left:

@felsenstern: Sorry, I currently have no plans to keep making front-view battlers. That's not to say I won't ever make more, but right now I have a plan and I intend to stick to it.

@Aoi: No particular species.

@Tuomo: I'll likely eventually go back to my old stuff and pick through it.

I'd take that to Resource Requests.

be sure to be specific about which sprite too...

(custom sprites for monsters like this, even just the walking ones are tedious to make)

Truly, these are amazing!

Just had to shout it out there.

I couldn't help but play with them a little and came up with this polar bear and the adjusted alraune, which I thought I'd share.

All I have left to say is, thanks for these amazing battlers and keep up the good work :D
