Today's update we have thieves and mages. And among them, Grettir, Ceridwen, and Morgan Le Fay.
The large thief is Grettir, from the Icelandic Grettis saga. He is an unfortunate man who runs afoul the undead shepherd Glamr, who curses him with bad luck, a fear of the dark, and becoming weaker as time goes on. Due to these circumstances, he winds up an outlaw, being hunted for the rest of his days.
Ceridwen is a sorceress from Celtic mythology who was elevated to a goddess as time went on. Her domains are prophecy, poetry, and rebirth. Here she is depicted as a fortune-teller.
Morgan Le Fay was Arthur's nemesis in much of Arthurian legend. In several tellings, she is his sister or half-sister, sometimes a fairy, sometimes merely a trickster while others outright malevolent. Modern depictions often conflate her with her sister, the Queen of Orkney, which would also make her one of Arthur's lovers, and in turn make her the mother of Mordred, the man who slays Arthur.

Looking great! And did you know that Morgan Le Fay is the guardian in the Magic Tree House series? She's depicted as a misunderstood enchantress, where she is the good one and Merlin is the villain who spreads false stories of her being a witch.
Loved that series as a kid... wish I'd kept up with it.

Sorry for missing the previous update. We'll have a larger one today as a result.
Today we have a nun, Tristan, a dwarf mage, Arthur, Teakettler, Drosoulites, Gryllus, Petermannchen, and Automaton.
The dwarf mage is a design from WAY back when I was part of Resource Staff. Just a fun fact.
Tristan is a folk hero who is said to be the nephew of the King of Cornwall. He was to escort an Irish princess to wed his uncle, but they consumed a love potion, falling in love. Sadly it ends in tragedy, as Tristan does not survive crossing his uncle.
Arthur is, of course, the king of Camelot and the central figure of the mythology. He is married to Guinivere. He meets his demise at the hands of Mordred who, depending on the telling, is his bastard son.
Teakettler is a cryptid hailing from Minnesota and/or Wisconsin. It resembles a small dog, and will emit steam and a high-pitched noise, like a kettle, when threatened.
Drosoulites are a procession of shadows, illusions, or other mysterious trickery, often a marching army or raiding party.
"Gryllus" means cricket, and was apparently one of Odysseus's crew who expressed a desire to remain a pig after being transformed by Circe. Author Marina Warner used the term to apply it to medieval-era grotesques and demons depicted in much medieval art. A common depiction was of a human head with large feet, but no body or arms.
Petermannchen lives in castles, carrying the keys to every door. A friendly sort who will guide those lost in castle cellars, but vicious to thieves and liars.
Finally, the automaton is from Greek mythology. The word means "to act under one's own will". Hephaestus created automatons to assist him in his forge, and Daedelus made statues move with the aid of Quicksilver.

This week we have Queen Medb, Baianai, Ruggiero, Bicho Papao, Fereydun, and Dosi.
Queen Medb (pronounced "maeve") is a queen from Irish mythology. She was a warrior queen with many stories written about her, and some theorize she was a goddess manifest. She conspired to have Cu Chulainn killed, but her machinations caught up with her in later years, as she was slain by the son of a woman she killed. With a piece of cheese, no less.
Baianai is a trio of goddesses from Yakut mythology, though they can also be a single being. Each resides over hunting, forests, and fishing, respectively.
Ruggiero is a knight and warrior from the Italian epic Orlando Innamorato. His father was murdered and his mother fled to Africa, dying in childbirth. He was raised by a Saracen wizard named Atlante, and a prophecy foretells his marriage and conversion to Christianity.
Bicho Papao is a fairly bog-standard bogeyman. It devours naughty children, typically from their beds, at night.
Fereydun is a Persian hero that is a symbol of victory and justice. He is best known for slaying the Azi Dahaka, a three-headed dragon, but his actions after the death of his son Iraj also led to the Iranian-Turanian wars.
Dosi is a medieval fairy... But somehow I've lost any more solid information than that. Maybe I misspelled the name? In any case, I'm pretty sure he was a household fairy who helps with cooking.... hence the frying pan.

This week we have Codrille, Arassas, Nuada Airgetlam, Gwydion, Actaeon, and Mordred.

Codrille is a variant of Basilisk that hails from France, and follows much the same life cycle as the aforementioned beast. Hatched from a yolkless rooster egg, it grows into a formidable dragon with a gem growing from its head.
Arassas is also from France, and is a cat-lizard hybrid whose gaze is said to immediately kill.
Nuada Airgetlam is from Irish mythology, the first king of the Tuatha De Danann. He lost his right to kingship when he lost his arm, but had it replaced by the healer Dian Cecht. He was slain by Balor, and was avenged by Lugh.
Gwydion is a magician and warrior of Welsh mythology. He mainly acts in the interest of his nephew Lleu (not to be confused with the Irish Lugh), whom is hated by his mother Arianrhod and is targetted for death by Blodeuwedd.
Actaeon is the son of Aristaeus (god of crafts and beekeeping), who sinned against Artemis when he leered at her while she was bathing. He was cursed to transform into an elk when next he spoke.
Mordred is the killer of King Arthur in Arthurian legend, the details of which are different in each telling. He is often Arthur's nephew, but can also be his bastard son, or just some guy, or Morgan le Fay's child, or what-have-you. Whatever drums up the drama. Arthur often kills him as well though.

I was looking through some of your resources and they are amazing! Curious, have you done any animation images compatible with Yanfly's Animated Sideview Enemies plugin? If not, would you be opposed to me trying to create animations from some of your resources? I'm sure you could do a much better job than I, but I'm trying to stick to animated enemies.

I've actually never even attempted to animate any of my illustrations. You're welcome to give it a go, though! I just ask that you share your results.
This week we have Peteu, Dungavenhooter, Beowulf, Sigurd, Kholkikos, Gawain, and Feng.
The Peteu is a seemingly-enormous bird that terrorized the French town of Vergisson. But it turns out that its body is all feathery fluff, for when it was slain, the hunters found it weighed a mere 4 ounces.
Dungavenhooter is a large crocodilian reptile lacking a mouth. In its place, it has two large nostrils that it uses to vacuum up its prey. It also sports a club-like tail for the meals that like to fight back.
Beowulf is a legendary hero of the titular epic, which chronicles his youth to old age. He's best known for his victory over the monstrous Grendel and its mother.
Sigurd (also called Sigfried or Sigvard) is a legendary Norse hero who slew the dragon Fafnir. He was made famous in the modern era by Richard Wagner's Gotterdammerung.
Kholkikos is the proper name of the serpent better known by its title, the Colchian Dragon. It guarded the golden fleece, and was defeated by Jason and Medea. When King Aeetes advised Jason to spread the dragon's teeth on the fields of Ares, they were as seeds, spawning fully-grown warrior men (or skeletons, in some tellings) that came to be called Spartoi.
Gawain is a famous knight of Arthurian legend, said to be Arthur's nephew and most staunch ally. He is either brother or half-brother to Gaheris, Agravaine, Gareth, and Mordred. In some versions, he is slain by Mordred.
Feng is a living slice of meat with eyes from Chinese folklore. It can easily regrow lost mass, and so was believed to be an endless source of delicious meat. If you could stomach the glares it gave you, that is.

Peteu, peteu up so high dropping white presents from the sky. Man, I'm glad cows don't fly.

This week's update features Guinevere, Manawydan, Malakbel, Aglibol, Baalshamin, and some noble NPCs; a mage and a count.
Guinevere is King Arthur's wife and queen of Britain in Arthurian legend. She is characterized as everything from a flawed but devoted wife, to a schemer and usurper,to a noble and pure lady. Morgan Le Fay is sometimes her sister-in-law. Her affair with Lancelot indirectly leads to Arthur's downfall.
Manawydan fab Llyr features prominently in the Mabinogi and is derived from the Celtic deity of the sea, Manannan. One notable story has him attempt to execute a mouse by hanging.
Malakbel, Aglibol, and Baalshamin are a triumvirate of sky gods representing the sun, moon, and sky, respectively, worshipped in ancient Palmyra. Malakbel has some parallels with Apollo and Hermes, while Baalshamin is considered a direct parallel to Zeus, and was equal to the supreme god, Bel.
