  1. I just want to say thank you. I just started working on RPG Maker MV, and it's amazing to see a resource like this -- for free, no less. I'm blown away by your creativity and generosity.

I eagerly await the moment I will be near completion with my first game (a short one, as everyone here suggests) and be messaging you for how to give you the credit you richly deserve.

Would you consider 'upgrading' the bees in a similar way?
The bees are from way, way before I started using more modular methods for swapping colours... But I gave it a shot. They're not exactly the same as the ants, but here's a variety of bees.

Now, this week's update. We've got the Dungeons & Dragons monster Cave Fisher, who likes to hang from ceilings and use its thin tongue to ensnare prey. The humanoid variant is meant to be Pabilsag, the Mesopotamian god of medicine. He's associated with Sagittarius, and is believed to have been originally depicted as a centaur with a scorpion's tail. Finally, we have a Dark Watcher, a cryptid from California said to peer down from high mountains. They are shadowy humanoids with glowing eyes.

  3. Whoops, update is a bit late today!
Today, we have rust monsters, bugbears, and the Ozark Howler. Rust Monsters are a Dungeons & Dragons staple... and probably one of the more litigable monsters. They eat metal, reducing it to rust residue in moments, but are not terribly dangerous otherwise. Bugbears take on many forms, and have many similar names, such as Bugaboo, Bugs, Boogeyman, etc. They, too, are derived from goblinkind, though their actual origins are hazy. Finally, the Ozark Howler is from Arkansas, and is said to be large and shaggy. Enjoy.

  4. Apologies for missing the update day. This weekend was a little hectic. Today we have a number of stumpy, cartoonish totem foes, called Haniwa. They look a lot like Animal Crossing Gyroids, which are also based off Haniwa. These totems are markers for the burial grounds of nobility. Enjoy.

  5. I can't stress how perfect these are for my project and they work so well with the existing MV enemies!
  6. Another two weeks have gone by, and so we have an update. This week's update is a mythical pig creature called the Lili, from ancient Chinese rumours and tales. It was a dark omen whose appearance foretold earthquakes. We also have some humanoid plant monsters from D&D. These guys are known as Blights, and they come in three varieties: vine, twig, and thorn. Here, we've got the vine and thorn varieties. Enjoy.

  7. The humanoid plant monsters look super cool!
  8. the vine blight looks amazing!!
  9. This weekend we have another update. We've got only one mythical creature, the Zankallala. Hailing from Nigeria and Cameroon, it's a powerful, but tiny, sage riding a jerboa and wearing a beehive as a hat. Naturally, the jerboa is also a standalone monster. Finally, we'vegot some monstrous mantises. Enjoy.

  10. Love the jerboa, reminds me a little bit of the kangaroo rats (aka one of the cutest rodent), even though they are differents rodents. Mantis are good too ! I will play a bit with their colors to make a black/grey(dark) one, I bet it would look cool :D

Still checking every 2 weeks to follow the Swamp.

    Take care,
  11. This week's update is a few beasties. First is the Pontarof, a cryptid from the southeastern oceans. It's a swamp monster now. Yes.
And next is a giant sloth. It doesn't represent any one mythical beast in particular, but the Mapinguari may fit. It hails from the Amazon rainforest. Enjoy.

  12. This looks amazing! My imagination is flowing with these battlers
  13. I just came back to check on things and realized I missed a lot of updates! I am so excited for the new content, Thalzon! I am currently making a dark forest and swamp for my game and was about to make sprites for the blights! Also have on my to do to make the evil treat (this large tree with a skeleton buried in its trunk and at its roots) where the blights are born from and gyroid sprites (also play Animal Crossing) because they are so adorable! So thank you for these battlers! Also for that flying swamp monster thing. I was needing some kind of flyer for the swamp!
  14. Due to an unforeseen computer failure, updates are put on hold. I’m endeavouring to get it fixed ASAP, but it’s an older machine so things aren’t going so smoothly. Updates will resume as soon as possible.
  15. That's a shame, good luck with your computer woes. These latest battlers have been brilliant!
  16. Hello!
Got a new pc up and running finally, and even saved all my files from my old pc! Thank goodness, I was scared I'd lost several months of work... I'll need to update more regularly in the future. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding.
It's not a regular update day, but considering the delay, an update is in order. Here we have a number of monstrous mermen. The turtle-shelled ones could be sahaguin, and the fish-tailed ones could be merrow, but merfolk in general are found in hundreds of myths and legends the world over. Enjoy, and hopefully we can resume regular updates and new content consistently going forward.

  17. Bodacious! Teenage Mutant Ninja Sahagins! It would be cool to see one on a surfboarD =3.
  18. Glad to have you back, Thalzon. And wonderdul news to hear that you did not loose so much work. The new battlers are a delight.
  19. Today's update has us encounter the worst of swamp foes: biting insects. A swarm of nasty flies is never fun to fend off. Also, some wyverns! Nicer ones than the old ones, in a variety of colours. Enjoy.
    insect_25.pnginsect_26.pnginsect_27.pngwyvern_06.pngwyvern_06a.pngwyvern_06b.pngwyvern_06c.pngwyvern_07.pngwyvern_07a.pngwyvern_07b.pngwyvern_07c.png
  20. XD I actually needed a horde of flies for my swamp levels! But that one with the net! Pure gold! The wyverns are beautifully done too, of course.
