Let's spice up the holiday season! Your challenge, should you accept, it is to make a short Christmas-themed game in any Maker engine sold in the Komodo store. The game is meant to be short, so don't overdo it with the plugins and the systems! The point of the contest is to finish something short, fun, and ~sweet~ just in time for Christmas. NOTE: This event is graciously hosted by Wind Ryder dev, @TESTOSTERONE and is being overseen by myself (Ms Littlefish) and a few of the other RMW moderators (@hiddenone and @bgillisp ). I (Ms Littlefish) will be holding on to the prize pool until winners are announced. You may begin working on your projects once this announcement has been made public. Submission Dates: Dec. 14th - Dec. 21st, 11:59PM EST (Dec 22nd 4:59AM UTC) Winners announced: Dec. 24th! *************************************************** Your project must be 20 minutes or less of gameplay for the average play through. You may team up with someone else (but the prize pool is for the entire team). Open to any Makers published in the Komodo store. You must have the rights to all materials used. Judging Criteria: Christmas Spirit Does it make players excited for Christmas? Creativity How well do you use the theme to make an interesting game? Visuals Are the graphics used well? Gameplay Is it fun to play? Also, since I've barely started, if anyone is interested in teaming up, let me know soon. I can do scripting and/or character art, but my style leans cartoony (I drew my avatar, I can send more of my art samples if you're interested). Could be apporpriate for Christmas though.

Normally I don't do collabs but since this is a small scope project with a defined deadline I'm open to it with the right person.

...I mean. Unless I do what we all know is likely: expand game scope beyond what is reasonable and thus never finish the dang game in any timeline.

Awesome to see so many people interested in this. And don’t forget, you‘ll get the participation medal whether or not your game is perfect! Need to leave in some placeholders? Do it. Have some rushed cutscenes? That’s fine! Just do your best and your effort will shine.

I’m not too sure how to make it Christmas, but make the final boss a pineapple “pizza” (quotation marks for his comfort) and you’ll probably win @Dalph over to your side.

But, seriously, seriously. The #1 rule is HAVE FUN! Let’s have a good time, experiment a little, get something done, poke each other’s buttons a little, and get some cool swag.

Final Boss being pineapple on pizza though = +10

You're free to add my character if you join the event, slimmm, you can base him on my personality, he's pretty much a self insert, that's why I never used him anywhere, it would be boring to play a long game with me into it, lol. A very short game is a different story though and you'll get points for a well written Dalph, I won't reveal here how many though.

If someone makes a Xmas game about the judges themselves, that would be very interesting to see in actual.

@TESTOSTERONE added a parody of me called "Dalph Fettuccini" in his game "Wind Ryder".
The character has orange hair like Ralph though (absolute blasphemy, but I'm willing to overlook this detail because he is a cool dude), the character is also dating a blonde girl named "Susan", lol.
