Let's spice up the holiday season! Your challenge, should you accept, it is to make a short Christmas-themed game in any Maker engine sold in the Komodo store. The game is meant to be short, so don't overdo it with the plugins and the systems! The point of the contest is to finish something short, fun, and ~sweet~ just in time for Christmas. NOTE: This event is graciously hosted by Wind Ryder dev, @TESTOSTERONE and is being overseen by myself (Ms Littlefish) and a few of the other RMW moderators (@hiddenone and @bgillisp ). I (Ms Littlefish) will be holding on to the prize pool until winners are announced. You may begin working on your projects once this announcement has been made public. Submission Dates: Dec. 14th - Dec. 21st, 11:59PM EST (Dec 22nd 4:59AM UTC) Winners announced: Dec. 24th! *************************************************** Your project must be 20 minutes or less of gameplay for the average play through. You may team up with someone else (but the prize pool is for the entire team). Open to any Makers published in the Komodo store. You must have the rights to all materials used. Judging Criteria: Christmas Spirit Does it make players excited for Christmas? Creativity How well do you use the theme to make an interesting game? Visuals Are the graphics used well? Gameplay Is it fun to play? Hi! I was wondering if the judges will re-download entries after submissions close. Just in case some of us made updates on our entry downloads before the closing hour xD :D I know I just made an update yesterday, I believe. :)

Okay, waiting for my last playtester feedback and then it's off to itch. I was playing with doing an Android version as well but I can't be arsed faffing about with on-screen buttons for page up/down at this point.

I've basically been speedrunning finishing the last parts of my submission, and it's just dawned on me that it probably isn't as "jolly" as it should be. But it's not like I have time to restructure the whole game, so I'll just have to accept the lackluster holiday cheer.

I would expect that judges wouldn't have downloaded anything until submissions close and judging actually starts.

Seriously bug sources are the most esoteric things sometimes. My patch notes at this point basically read

- Fixed a crash when gaining naughty/nice points if you went upstairs in Chris's house before gaining them
- Made it possible to leave Deckard's house without interacting with the tree

Just upload it somewhere and then post the link in the submissions topic. Most people seem to be using itch.io.
