Hello all and welcome to the IGMC 2018 Secret Santa thread! The way this thread works is you post that you wish your game to be reviewed by another forum member, and in return you will review a game as well. To begin, post a link to the game you wish to be reviewed. You can use the thread page here, or your IGMC 2018 entry page on itch.io. Once we have ten submissions, or a week passes (assuming at least two submissions in that week), I will assign you. Once assigned, you will have two - three weeks to finish the review. Post the review on the page the review requester provided. If you get a game you already did, let me know and I can give you a different game in that group. This may result in some game getting played by 2 people in the same round. Once you are done with your review, you can request to go again, and you will be put in the next open group of ten (this way you can proceed at a pace which is comfortable for you). However, I will not assign you again until you tell me you wish to go again. Also, if I find it is always the same ten people going I may ask you to wait one group to be fair to everyone. We will keep this up until Christmas, so post away! @Alexey - I played your game and put a review up on your itch.io page - it is not as favorable as you might want it to be, but I ran into a LOT of nasty bugs in the game, including some that completely break the game.

@bgillisp - I am good to go for another whenever. Thanks!

Review: Rise of the Pharoah
Title: Rise of the Pharoah

Storyline: The Pharoah is dead and lawlessness as spread over the realm. The gods have each chosen a champion to represent them and become the new ruler. Depending on which god you choose, will affect your stats. I guess, I'm not really sure. The story is simple and gives you a goal to complete. Fun.

Controls: From what little I saw, the battle system was above average. You need to time your attacks just right on a dial. As long as your at least stopping it, you'll be hitting the target. However, those kinds of timing systems are best used for Skills and Special attacks. For the main attack feature, it's just best to leave it as is. This is an ATB battle system, so the monsters will wail away on you while you figure out which skill to use. And with no real way to heal, it won't be long before you're calling it quits.

That aside, you will be visiting each deity's temple and they all have the requirement of finishing exploring it before leaving. But the dungeons are random and there are many puzzles that you only have one try at solving. Add the random encounters and you may see the problem.

Presentation: Tall sprites are used and the Egyptian theme implemented. It looks pretty nice and polished. The town you start in is certainly active and the pathways are clear and accessible. There is no world map, but the overall selection screen of the temples makes it look as though you're traveling to each. Your character is a nameless, red haired, girl, who is known as "Champion". In truth, I think this is a detriment, as you should be able to choose a gender, along with an appearance and a name. Oh course, who knows, maybe the earlier choices actually does that.

Fun Factor: I truthfully did not play this game too long. Once I got to the dungeons, I was faced with many dead ends, with no hope of healing and a constant stream of enemies. The game has potential, so I'm not going to write this one off completely.

It might take me a week to review this game. I only have a Mac until the weekend. I tried playing the game but kept getting error messages for things that were definitely there, so... yeah. I'll look into ways to play windows games on a Mac, but I might not get it running until the weekend. Sorry! XD Game looks really good tho.

I am planning to do a long let's play of some IGMC titles on all fronts (facebook, Twitch, youtube, etc..) soon but I don't have a game release for IGMC tho.

we already have a few games on the list and while some are ommitted for now. You can PM me if your games isn't on the list or we missed it so we can add to the list of consider to be showcase.

Hello I'm a bit late but I reviewed Monster Village (on its page is a written review):
Gameplay: 14 / 20
Presentation: 15 / 20
Engagement: 11 / 20
Potential: 8 / 20
Bugs: Passibility problems with hills, houses, and an empty event in the garden. Being able to go unarmed against enemies without being able to run away (so the only option is to die).

Final Score: 48 / 100

Heya! I’m currently in the middle of playing my secret Santa! But because I’m off tomorrow I don’t want to miss out on the next round, so can you put me down for it and I’ll be posting my review of the last journey in about an hour or two depending on how long it takes me to write the review. Lol.

(I’m not available at all for the rest of the week so I want to get as many rounds in as possible!)

I'm afraid so. At first I thought it was an installer, but then I realized it's just the Game.exe from deployment. You need to zip the entire deployment folder in order for the game to work.
