Is there any value given to feedback to the game's "marketing material", e.g. the screenshots, descriptions, trailer videos, etc. without playing the game itself?

Realistically if I have to play the games I am only going to play the most "promising", polished, further-along-development games. If you want my "first impressions", e.g. what I think of when I look at the product page I would be a lot more willing to give that out freely and can give it to a lot more games.

I was asking for clarification of the rules. It says to play the game. If that is a requirement then I will only leave feedback for games I "like the look of".

Yes, generally you have to play a game in order to qualify for the game playing event with rules that state that you have to play the games.
