Thanks for being a super cool person and having worked on this tool. It's people like you that make these engines worth running and you do it out of the kindness of your hearts. That's amazing to me, and you are very much appreciated.

You can simply download any assets, put all in folders following the same "Generator" folder design, then import all and the software will handle the restI apologize if this has already been discussed as I didn't look through all 40+ pages of posts in this thread but I was wondering if there were links or a means of finding character packs available in the format to use with extended generator (MZ).

Hello, this tool is amazing. I do need some help with it, however.
I made an account specifically to ask:
I am having a very hard time importing my self-made assets into this. I think it's a great idea, and it definitely works (the .NET framework is installed, everything functions). I followed the tutorial provided and also did my best to reverse-engineer the folders. I can manually import assets one at a time, but I would very much like to simply import them all at once.I was wondering if someone could explain it in more detail: what is the "Variation" folder supposed to have in it?
Also, do I need to create masks, when I won't be using the color-changing effects in the generator? I just want to choose from my pre-made assets without altering them in the generator.
Finally, the tutorial on the website doesn't go into detail on how the Resources window works, is there a more detailed breakdown on that part? I don't understand it at all :(
Thanks in advance for any responses. -
The Variation folder contains the images showing the preview of the part, as seen in this section. It needs to match the part number of its associated part in order to be recognised as the variation image for it.Hello, this tool is amazing. I do need some help with it, however.

Oh, that actually helps with one of my other questions too-- the parts must be numbered to work, then. Thank you so much.

I have a question that again, apologies if has been answered already!
I've already imported a large number of assets. I have more that I want to import, but also a little worried that either now or in future, I might mess up what I already have. If I make a backup copy of the program folder, could I always just use that to "go back" if I am unhappy with any assets I import in future? Or is it not that simple? Thank you in advance! -
You can keep a backup for safety, but also i don't think you can miss it up, because the software handles numbering the assets, so nothing gets overwrittenI have a question that again, apologies if has been answered already!

thank you! yeah, i guess one of my concerns is that I am not 100% sure if one of these assets I want to additionally import is one that I don't remember already importingYou can keep a backup for safety, but also i don't think you can miss it up, because the software handles numbering the assets, so nothing gets overwritten

So, why does this program delete the files inside data folder when you reset the program? I lost all my progress and work, which I was going to share here (the beastman one). Would be a fair warning for people to tell them when you reset the data, it will delete all associated files in the data AND original folder. I had backups in both, and now both are gone. I didn't think to make a backup outside of the program...
Great tool tho! Is there any chance we can import subdirectories and directories not part of the original Generator? That way, we can just import the new dlc files and not have to manually insert thousands and thousands of dlc content. -
Is the discord still up? Link invite was invalid
-
So, I imported a new gen part, but somehow one of the assets (the face file) got messed up. I need to add in the correct corresponding fg file - what's the way to do this?
-edit- nvm, I think I figured it out! -
Great generator. So much more efficient than the one that RPGmaker provides.
-
Is there a way to use it with wayward's character sprites?

Important note : links update
Due to yet another trouble with my former hosted website, I've switched to a new host, hence changing all links in the first message. On a bright note, we've finally got https over http :D -
So... trying to import my old RXGE2 files on the 0.68 version gives me an error when trying to use SOME of the parts, not all. The old "key was not found in dictionary" error.
There is a BUNCH of parts I've collected and manually organized over several months, the newest version still doesn't allow imports, and I've since lost the computer where the original files were, I only have the RXGE2 files backed up... hopefully there is something that can be done. -
Does anyone know what's the cause of this. I can't seem to add faces in the generator. I am just using the default rtp assets and I am able to add most of the other parts correctly, but the faces don't seem to work. Using Beta 1.00.
-
The default rtp can be directly imported -> did you try that way?
-
Yes. I still had similar issues. However, a solution I found that managed to work was to create the base of my character inside rpg maker. And then import the character settings with the generator. Which allowed me to have the faces added. The default rtp can be directly imported -> did you try that way?

Can you make it possible to import Additional gradients without having to go through hurdles?
Edit: I found the import gradients button. -
Hi Schlangan! Could you, please, provide a changelog of the 1.00 version over the 0.68?Changelog
Version 1.00.0000 (2024, September, 2nd)
- Main release of the new version!
This is because I have a giant database arranged in the b0.68, but I saw some very interesting things in the screenshot, like the ability to rotate parts and to zoom in the preview!
But, as I'd need to to all import and configurations again, I'd like to be certain if I'll put the effort in using the newest version!
And thank you very much for this wonderful tool! I have already made A LOT of characters with my gen parts that I collected/bought all over the places that I could find!
