Wait! I think my problem was partially solved because I changed the power settings to High Perfomance when you mentioned it!
Leo Epitav, you have my thanks. I can now at least use MV ;)

I have already removed all M4a files. The BGM folder only contains a few custom tracks, no default files at all.

The Youtube player is just badly optimized for anything but super high end PCs (and that's no guarantee either as some owners of those have issues especially with HD video), phones, and gaming consoles (as YT works well on the PS4 and Vita in the browser and I hear no issues with the Xbox One either, the 3DS one is terrible though, it works well on my smartphone as well). Both Chrome and FF had issues with memory leaks with HTML5 video on YT.I still think the whole HTML5 thing for this version of RPG Maker was a really bad idea.
Especially after all the bad things I heard about HTML5 not being supported enough due to these exact reasons.
Heck, even people have problems with YouTube now that they switched from Adobe to HTML5.
A lot of people, including me use SMPlayer because of the HTML5 YouTube Player being laggy and terrible.
I also feel like MV should bring back the RTP style with optional
downloads for Windows RTP, Mac RTP, and iOS RTP or something
so everything isn't all bundled up in one big folder making everything look
so confusing compared to the previous makers.
P.S: Does Enterbrain not develop RPG Maker anymore?
They did a better job on the programs it seems. -
I've installed it, and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
At the beginning of the game the title screen comes up without the music for a second or two.
In the first part of the intro cut scene the music changes, and there is a period of silence before the new music starts (in Ace it was an instant change)
A bit later when there is a change to a different map, the new BGM for that map doesn't kick in immediately, even though the Play BGM event command is on parallel process. -
Alright, I tried my beefy desktop I rarely use.
No problems at all.
Just... thought i'd say that.
I have a feeling i'm going to use my desktop a lot more now... xD -
Could People Please Say What Version of Windows are you using?
Windows 10 seems to work fine for me as long as I have my laptop plugged in (fixes lag problem but I Never had BGM Issues or force closing).
Now people with laptops And Pcs should say what windows they use because I heard Windows 7 have problems with mv. -
My desktop with Windows 7 has no issues.
Playtests at constant 60 FPS. No issues in Editor.
My Laptop is going to fall into disuse soon :p Thats a shame because Ace worked so well.. -
I have Intel Pentium e5500 is MV work on it?

Try it!I have Intel Pentium e5500 is MV work on it?
That's what the trial's for! ;) -
I have Windows 7 on an HP Pavlian g series laptop
6Gb RAM
Processor: AMD A6-3420M APU with Radeon HD Graphics -
I have the same issue except it's a 4-5 second delay. The problem doesn't occur in battle mode so maybe it's related to loading maps?I've installed it, and it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Reposting my system specs:
Mother ASUS
i7 2600k @3.40 GHz
16gb Ram @1600 MHz
ATI - r280x (latest stable drivers)
850w PSU
HD: 1 128gb SSD, 1 1tb and 1 500gb
W8.1
DirectX updated, Drivers updated, OpenGL obviously supported.
Edited package.json with the removal of the blacklist.
The editor delays still happen, the in-game autotile fps stuttering issue still happens.
This is what happens in-game when using autotiles (it's an empty 40x23 map filled with the top-left water autotile, and no, the stuttering is not because of the record software, it happens everytime), otherwise it seems to run at 60 without issues, but theres definitely something wrong with autotiles, even Ace didn't have this issue even using higher resolutions.

-With Yanfly's Engine Core Plugin (1920x1080):
So, this must be a bug or a problem with the engine itself, because even without plugins it still happens.
Then there's the delayed sound issue too, where it starts 1 or 2 seconds after it should. -
I am also seeing lag. In particular, on my world map, where there are a lot of the animated sea tiles.

It seems like, when the animated tile changes (probably requiring a full screen redraw) is exactly when I see the lag happen. I can see my party moving smoothly across the map, but each time the tiles change is when I see the party stutter. -
still getting whit screen!
-
Did everything as instructed, still lagging.
- Lag during tile placement (Holding down mouse button to map, there is a noticeable lag between 1st and 2nd tile placement, then the rest place smoothly)
- 0.5~2 second lag while switching between Database tabs
- Massive lag when playing on a map with lots of autotiles / water tiles
I will likely be seeking a refund on this software and returning to the makers that actually work. I have a custom built $1500 gaming PC that has no trouble running games like Witcher 3 on Ultra, having some dinky sprites walk around a tile based map should be no problem (and it wasn't, for all previous makers installed on this same machine)
