@ Mana Aeliria Your songs are consistently getting stronger and what I've heard of your OST, it has great range in terms of ferocity and softness. I also want to tell you that I downloaded your demo because I wanted to see all these pieces in action. So far, everything is playing out greatly.

@ Drassray Your song starts of temple of time and then opens a can of whoop ass. Since the melody is so open and simple, don't be afraid to plug and chug that percussion part a little more, though. Maybe that's just me! You can really turn on the metal in a piece like this if you fancy it (I do). 

@ HouseKeeping I absolutely love all the little melodies, rhythmic complexities, and only what I can describe as 'punches of metal' in this piece. Here comes my pedestrian ways of describing things, but I think the bass (before that metal part) blends in a bit, possibly because of the sound font used, and I lose some grip on the rhythm. Depending on the setting this could be fine since the drum is keeping things grounded, but I guess for own preference I wish the bass was a little more dominant.

Remember that "Relaxing Ambiant" game I talked about that many people just couldn't grasp? A Relaxing Ambiant game is designed specifically to help its player relax and unwind... even trigger some ASMR (google it) if you watch someone LP...  I might add some ambiant sounds in here, depending on what the listeners say.  Ocean, Mountain, or Forest? What place fits this theme the most?

Iron Croc, I really like this song! I especially like how the constant woodwinds and strings makes it hard to locate the beginning or the end of the melody, making it seem endless. I think of a misty pond on a twilit evening when I hear it.

Littlefish, beautiful and yet slightly off-beat and wacky. I think the title's perfect for it. Love it! :D

Here's two old songs that I like

Old Life New Life

Emergency Waiting Room

The first is about a character I created. She's a mouse who runs away from her home to find a better life for herself. The second is from the game I'm currently working on, called Sacchariine.

"Old life, New life" has a beautiful way of using the chord changes to really create the atmosphere the title suggests. It goes from these creepy crawl-y chords and melodies, to those really clean and mood boosting chords. The entire time, I get the feeling as if the character is trying to reassure herself but second guessing the discussions she has made.

"Emergency Waiting Room" has some good Earthbound vibes to me. I think it would not be too far fetched to find a piece like this in an environment from that universe. 

@drassray I listened to your Dark Lord theme and love the choirs. It really gives me this feeling when the Dark Lord is making up his mischief plans. It somehow reminds me of Mithos theme from Tales of Symphonia. Good job.

@Iron Croc Your warrior dance song sounds great! Love the melody. It's really catchy and memorable and thanks for the kind comment. I'm not a seasoned musician. I'm actually wanting to pursue music more and yes I play the piano :)

@ethan Wulf I stepped back in time. It reminds me of the old school SNES games. it can be a good title theme like littlefish said.

I was out drinking with a Japanese composer friend the other day, and got to talking about some some tracks that we both shared a liking for, and I decided to do a little remaster/remix of those tracks, and compile a "village mix" album just for the heck of it.

Still in the works, with only 2 tracks done and probably 5 more or so to go.

@ Hian. All the instruments are so clear and pristine!  They're both very pleasant remixes. Great job!

@ Drassray 'Brethren Settlement' has a very medieval feel. "Ye Ole" pub. It's a very beautiful flute font as well. For your victory theme, as lovely as that flute is. It almost sounds, too pretty and sleepy next to the rest of that instrumentation. I think this could be remedied by choosing another instrument or making the flute less legato.

I'm using an entire new cast of software and VSTs, so I'm expecting to encounter some issues with mixing and such.

My most recent song is a mild battle theme for a book. It's not a style I'm used to (Demo reel shows my areas more) but it came out better than I thought it would.

Well, long time I didn't come here. Here is a small work in progress. I shall listen to the other tracks but tomorrow, I'm scouting to bed now. :)

This band project will probably end up in video game soundtracks though as I realised I really don't have the time nor the motivation to go back on stage on a regular basis.

First off, thanks Ms Littlefish for your comments. That's exactly what I was trying to go for in "Old Life New Life". As for "Emergency Waiting Room," it's interesting that you mention that, because I composed some of the songs for the re-release of Cognitive Dissonance (basically Mother 1.5) in an EarthBound style. I guess some of those elements carried over.

zerobeat023, I love both of these songs, especially Alfred's theme: it's haunting and dissonant, but somewhat heroic at the same time. I also like the style of a lot of your other tracks on SoundCloud. Nice work!

hian, I haven't played Final Fantasy yet, but I love the instrumentation and the clarity of your remixes. It really brings these villages to life!

Luke_Flynn, I enjoyed the music in your Film Score Demo. You have a lot of talent for manipulating the sounds of an orchestra to create a that kind of cinematic atmosphere. Incredible tracks!

ProjectTrinity, I love "Decision to Sprout" and "Rage for a Fowl Girl" especially how you incorporate human voice, but twist it so that it doesn't dominate the other instruments. Your music is unique and fantastic, I've never heard anything like it before.

Lars Ulrika, what an awesome name for a song. I like your style too: it's upbeat, but very deep and dark.
