re: Maximus32, your pieces on dropbox are failing to load for me, is there some other format that you have them in so that I may listen to them? Also, thank you very much! Any further advice or tips you have would be gladly welcomed.
re: Cyreides, I like your works very much, especially the fifth excerpt in the piece, starting at ~1:15. Regarding your Sweet Dreams arrangement, I'm unfamiliar with the original, but comparing what I found on Youtube, your arrangement here, and aforementioned excerpts, I actually prefer your version.
re: MsLittlefish, https://soundcloud.com/maireadgamemusic/hometown-of-mesa-when-you-fell is charming, and I could definitely see (hear?) it being done with a live orchestra, with a solo violinist towards the end. Very reminiscent of Howard Shore's "Concerning Hobbits" theme, actually, especially its harp and flute(?) introduction (by no means a bad thing, since it doubles-up the nostalgic feeling) but then it branches into its own identity.
re: Iron Croc, https://soundcloud.com/dlsea/princess-of-peril-castle-crawl is wonderful, I especially adore its use of strings throughout, and I've got the sinking feeling that your melody is going to poke around in my head at unexpected times for the next few days!
Edit: fixed a typo. How embarrassing.

huh, very strange.I don't recall moving anything around in my dropbox... Nevertheless, I've fixed all of the links. Thanks for pointing that out Commiczar!

re: Maximus32, thank you, I very much like them. "Malvalia" is interesting, in that cheerful interlude, and it almost seems to have the feeling of a military march throughout. "Lead City" seems alternatively haunting and mystical; I like it very much, and the waltz-like feeling that it has is pleasant. "Forest of Living" has an outstanding ostinato in the piano that weaves in and out.

Thank you so much, Commiczar. I'm glad you took the time to listen to and critique them! :)

In honor of Save your Mother's commercial release getting closer to being done, here's a song from the original one's OST.
-
Ms. Littlefish: I am really becoming a fan of your sweeping melodies. They always seem to be so lush and free spirited!
Iron Croc: I don't think you could have picked a more fitting title. What you did at the 1 minute mark was just lovely. It reminds me of the OST in Puzzle Quest.
Commiczar: Welcome to the awesome world of game audio. For a newbie I think you are off to a fantastic start. I can’t wait to see what the future holds if you stick with it.
Cyreides: Nice preview of your EP. I am finally thinking about doing an original album myself. It might be a mash up of a few genres though as I am not great with EDM.
I have been a little bit of ghost so I thought to share two of my latest projects. I was inspired by Jazz, EDM, Big Beat, and Hip-Hop

@Schematist. Thank you. ^_^ I always love how relaxing your pieces are. "Prismatic Distance" has a lot of development in it. The melody is wonderful but the instruments that accompany it really create the atmosphere around it that make the piece. I like the build up through the intro and how it only starts on that harp-like preset.
So, in my games, the item shop keeper is always a point of comedic relief and intentionally made into a silly character. You know he's a gypsy and from a distant land, but the thing is, he appears in a lot of our games' lore, becomes a mogul of the retail industry in the areas he has traveled to, and despite being an NPC seems to have a profound understanding of what is going on.
In this incarnation, he has become an icon of not only the retail in this game, but the night scene. So, I just had to do a swing version of his item shop theme (present across all my games). Now, I'm hesitant to actually call any of my pieces jazz because I know jazz is very technical and my writing is not so technical. So, I'll call it "jazzy" out of fear offending anyone who knows what the heck they're doing when it comes to writing jazz. But I must say for not knowing what I'm doing, the bass was taken out for a nice walk.

I don't have any music made, but I do have some lyrics for a song I've been threading in my head.
'I'm in a rut
'Got no one to trust
'They make my life Hell
'I may as well....
'Go grab a knife
'And Take my life
'But the knife don't work....
'....the scars heal....
'....the soul does not....
'....is this real....
'....am I even there?
'One thing I do know....
'This is for certain....
'I'm in a dark place....
'I see Luci's face....
'I hate this Fate....
'But I know I can't change it....
'Rrrrrrrrraaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!
'Forsaken again!
'Mistaken once more!
'Given no reprise!
'Raped and tossed over the edge!
'Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!
'I took my mirror
'And painted my lips
'The red hue is pleasing
'If only for a moment
"I'm beautiful"
'I said to myself
'But even I don't believe it....
'I'm so sick of this!
'Why don't you just take my life!?
'I'm in a rut!
'I'm spinning my wheels!
'I'm Stuck In The Mud!
Yeah, this song is set to the tone of speedy death/black metal, much like KsE or A7X.
Hope you like my idea. -
@Ms Littlefish, your melodies are so freespirited... if they were a human, they'd be a dancing, lauching woman with flowers in her hair, singing and playing a tambourine. Yep.
Schematist: Love it. Also welcome back! We missed ya man!
@sweetladyamy, welcome to the forums!

Hell, I was abused like this just hours earlier.
Instead of me filing a police report, I got to spend (waste) time in the fricking hospital for no reason.
The nurse treated me like crap too. Ugh.
Every damn day I am subject to some sort of abuse.
I mean, so what if I am trans, a lesbian, and mentally ill?
WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ME, MORTAL!?!?!!!??
Grrr...but when I defend myself, in real life (offline), I get in so much trouble.
So much for being a 'free' American...
Rock 'n' Roll, Metal music saved my life. -
I see... All I did was comment give my honest opinion on the lyrics.
See, what's what makes us as a people so amazing; the fact that we all have different opinions and tastes.
So please, take it easy, okay? :) -
It's a bit loud guys. Proceed your ears with caution. Final boss music for IGMC entry. Gosh. Darn it.

I could only imagine how it'd sound in Metal style. -
YEEEEEAYUUUUH! LOVE it, Littlefish! I can't WAIT to play this game if ONLY for the soundtrack. <3
Makes me feel bad for having 3 outside tracks in mine....
Man, I LOVE it. -
Thank you, guys. In all honesty my IGMC game will probably suck a little. We have no clue what we're doing. LOL!
At least the music rocks! It's frustrating to have the ideas for a cool game but not have the time to get the technical know-how on lock down. But, we told ourselves this entry would be a learning thing. I'd rather learn now than while I'm trying to do more of my main project!
Well, if anyone is curious. The full OST is now complete. I certainly am not expecting anyone to listen to the whole thing though. XD

And you're very welcome. It was great to listen to. -
This is a track that I finish 4 days ago that's quite a big deal for me. Anyone's who my music in ReStaff over the past year and bit knows my usual style of music. This one was way out of the comfort zone for me. I'm currently composing for a small fighting game that has an urban vibe to it. I was asked to create something that's a hybrid of rock and electronic, both are genres I'm not accustomed to. This was for a stage theme that would play during the player fights.
So I rose up to challenge to make something, but I took it a step further and decided to do something I've never done before. Add live vocals. As it was the spur of the moment thing, I got out my microphone and begin improvising lyrics into the mic. I don't sing, but the end result came out really great I think and I'd like you all to take a listen!

You guys are gonna love this!
This following track is to be used in my game (no title as I am still getting good at making these)...
...as the INVINCIBILITY THEME. (of course, in battle only)
WARNING, THE FOLLOWING TRACK IS EXTREMELY LOUD.

I didn't listen to it yet, McTricky, but I'll edit this when I do. @Amy, loud indeed! I'm curious to how you'll use it.
Here's the final credits to my game... It feels like child growing up.. Just a day ago it seemed, it was only a memory. :')

I have a character in mind that during a battle cutscene (still figuring this out-the how to), all her allies fall except her, and she ends up calling out to the Altars to help her, but instead gains a tiny bit of their power and in battle, becomes fully invulnerable, much to the dismay of her adversaries, whom up until then, were convinced that they could destroy her and her spirit. Flashy power animations, the 'oh-' reactions included!Amy, loud indeed! I'm curious to how you'll use it.
