MBTI profiles of game creators?

Hello everyone! I recently stumbled on a free popular personality test online: the Myers Briggs personality test! Now I know it might not be hard science and might not be a perfect test, but it's still very fun and to a degree correct. I think it can grasp the general personality of someone, provided they be honest when answering the test. I'm an INTJ by far (all 4 categories are over 75 points), and I thought it would be nice to see what's the profile of game creators. Even though INTJ are just 2% of the population, I'm sure it's much more prevalent in the game making industry. So what is your personality profile? The test is about 5 to 10 minutes. It basically gives you 100 statements, and you have to say either you agree or not on a little scale of 1 to 6. You can take the test for free here: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test For those of you that don't know the test, it categorizes people in 16 personality archetypes. Each category is formed by 4 letters, each representing a binary characteristics: (click on the spoiler tag to read) Spoiler 1) The first letter is between I and E: I is for introverts and E is for extroverts. This is a pretty straightforward category. 2) The second letter is between N and S: N (intuition) is for people that likes to see the world in an abstract way, usually more creative, looks for patterns, love dreaming, etc. S (sensor) is for people that likes to see the world for what it is. They are usually more fact driven, prefer to have realistic objectives, etc. 3) The third letter is between T and F: T is for thinking and F is for feeling. Now, it's not what it may seem like. People that are T still have feelings and people that are F still have logical and rational thoughts. See it like this: if they had to choose, T people would prefer expressing their opinion and beliefs to others EVEN if they know that it might hurt their feelings. They prefer the truth to harmony. F people are the opposite: they prefer keeping to themselves their thoughts to prevent harming others' feelings. They prefer the harmony of the group over the expressing themselves. 4) the fourth letter is between J and P: To put it simply, J (judging) people abide by the philosophy "to achieve a goal, make yourself a plan and stick to it" while P (prospecting) people abide by the philosophy "better keep your options open since they're might be a better way".

Not sure if I call myself a game creator, but well, I took that test and I get:
ENFJ-T : Protagonist.

What the hell.....I thought "protagonist" is not even a thing in this kind of test......lol

In fact, according to that test, (I think) I am almost an INTJ.
I mean, my E is 56%, while my N, T, and J are 70% and up....56% extrovert is borderline introvert IMO.

The thing about these tests is that the percentage does not necessarily indicate how much of a certain trait you resemble, but rather the precision of the score. It's a good idea to try the MBTI test on as many other sites as possible and to see if the scores agree. If you get a consistent personality type on most of them, then you have a degree of certainty. Another useful thing is to try the cognitive function tests (such as on Keys2Cognition website), as they will determine your MB type based on functions that are at the basis of this theory. :)

I usually get INTP when I take these but my last two letters are close to the threshold. The last letter is so close that it sometimes flips to J.

mbti is pretty neat. i’m an INFJ personally. they say it’s the rarest type, though there’s gotta be some other INFJs around here with all you INxx folk in this thread. :ywink:

My results generally differ between INTP and INFP. One server showed INT(F)P due to the fact that it's the T and F are not decisive.

ENFP here.

I really have to agree. I do rather love meeting people and speaking with them. I could talk and talk--never shut up. Hope that doesn't turn anyone off :(

@samkfj Every person has people with whom they fit perfectly and people with whom they don't really see eye to eye. Some personalities fit well with some others and not so well with others. What I'm trying to say is just be yourself, and don't bother yourself with people who don't appreciate you for who you are.

I'm like Poryg but with the S counterpart; lately a lot has been going on with my life, so I've been preferring T over F to deal with the issues with a different perspective. Despite being an ISFP though, I'm terrible at drawing, as I never found a use for it over speaking up and attempting to solve the issue. However, whenever there are special occasions where words wouldn't do, I use art ventures, like game-making, poems, stories, etc.

Me too! Though I'm not sure I agree with the brief description of J in the opening post. Maybe I'm borderline on that one.
