Mack's VX/Ace tiles Converted for MV

Hmm those resized ones actually look pretty decent! Interesting "painted" look. What kind of filter(s) did you apply to them?

But does MV uses A3/A4 type of organization for its tilesets?

I could be wrong but I believe it uses the same mapping system as VX, just with one more layer.

Having made the jump from VX to MV, Macks tileset was pretty much invaluable for me. Thank you for doing this.

Do you have any plans to convert the rest of the tileset? (or is that unnecessary and I just don't realize that because I've been stuck in the past all these years).

I hope to do them all, but if someone else converts them before I get my resizing methods down, I'll gladly host the images. =]

The problem is that there is still no good way to resize the tiles that do not cover the entire sheet (in other words, shapes like chairs and pots, which have transparent pixels all around.)


(I do not want the transparent pixels all around the edges that make them look so sloopy.)


Maybe I will do the rest of the Tile A sets over my holiday. =]

@Grandma Deb, would it be possible to add the tiles to a brightly colored background, and resize them then add the transparency?  Or is that just too much of a headache?

You get antialiasing around the edges, even with the bright background, in all my experiments. =[

I've taken the liberty of converting all the Mack tiles. C, D, and E are "too big to upload" so I put them on imgur.

I tried downloading your conversions and they have a white background and the edges aren't clear enough to just cut out the white.


Do you have a copy with transparent background? Or did i do something wrong?

I see what you mean. I think something went wrong when I uploaded them. On my computer they appear with the transparencies, but when I re-downloaded from here they do have a white background. Is it allowed for me to upload them in a zip or something?

Ooh, PTF-ing because I could really use Mack's! Aha XD If you had something like a DA, DoctorQ, I believe they allow ZIP file uploads and downloads (I think....)? I do not use imgur or anything so I wouldn't know about that XD
