  1. Well, the sentence seems totally out of place with the rest of the story. And a childish thing for a professional security guard(s) to say. Not sure if it's the same guard. Wouldn't it be easier to wait til the technician gets off work to kill him? No security guards, witnesses, or hacking involved. I'd understand if you had to assassinate like the head of the nightclub or something. But not a simple tech.
Although, I stand amazed at all the things you can do that I can only dream about. The vanishing shade, the security hacking minigames, and the disappearing roof when entering a building.
Having water streams you can walk in at the nightclub isn't very safe or sanitary. You can slip and fall. Depending on the depth you could pass out drunk and drown. It's also not good for footwear. And if anyone tracks stuff in from outside you could see a stepped in dog turd making the rounds at the nightclub.
1f4a9.png : Hi. Are you guys having a good time? Good. Good. I've got some free fecal coliform bacteria if anyone wants some? No? Ok. Don't mind me. I'm just going with the flow.
I should prolly stop hi-jacking Studio Blue's thread now.
  2. @Tanarex Yes, you should stop. Now.
  3. Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we visit the world of Crystal of Destiny, a short adventure that is the start of something much larger. With custom 3D parallax graphics and a brilliant use of "Mode 7", this game is beautiful.

Our biggest problem, however, lies with an NPC who acts completely out of character and inappropriate for the genre and the world that has been built. His actions break the immersion of an otherwise fun fantasy game.

With some tweaking, this game could be a lot of fun and the start of a longer, even more robust adventure.

  4. Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we jump into the world of Broken Destiny. This game was very enjoyable at first with an engaging story that pulls the player right in, a sympathetic main character, and an interesting world. The opening prose is beautiful, and the cut scene with the villains is well done.

The biggest problems we have are with the mapping of the starting city and the way the "quest" is delivered in the first act. A lot of reworking will need to be done to fix those issues, but the product will be all the better for it.

There was a game crashing bug we encountered, but it may have been due to us having an older version. Once the developer gives us something updated, we'll take another look at it.

  7. Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we sprint full speed into the world of Sonic the Hedgehog in Tales of Mobius, a Sonic fan-game that plays like the classic "Tales of" video games. It's a unique combination that works beautifully!

There is very little we can critique about this game because it comes together so well. The stages are very well thought out, the map design is excellent, the characters are true to form, and the convenience factor (like having crafting item sellers right by crafting stations) is perfect. In other words, there are no big picture issues in this game.

There are a few nit-pick things, however. The combat can be a bit clunky and BEGS for gamepad support, the hit box and attack range on certain enemies is unbalanced, and the switching of controls between field and battle take some getting used to (would be fixed with gamepad support). The instruction booklet needs to differentiate between "ground" and "aerial" a bit better.

But these are just minor details. Overall, this is a great adventure game in general, and if you enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog, it's a must play!

  8. Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we delve into the dark dungeon of Catacombs 1: Demon War by @SimProse. This game is so reminiscent of the old Ultima games; it gave us flashbacks. With masterful writing, beautiful graphics, and gorgeous music, this game has amazing potential.

Unfortunately, we encountered a game-breaking bug every time we tried to save and thus were unable to get far. Additionally, there are some balancing issues with this game. The damage dealt to the starting character is too high, and the enemies always go first. Enemy balancing is needed for this to be a fair experience.

@SimProse does bring a lot to the table in this game. Once the issues are fixed, Catacomb 1: Demon War will be a wonderful experience.

I just tested the Steam version, opened the menu in the same place, and got no such error when saving. You may want to redownload; something may have not finished downloading or gotten corrupted.

We'll definitely redownload and try again. Thanks for the heads up and sorry for the messup!
  11. @SimProse, we are truly sorry, but we keep getting the crash bug. We completely deleted the files, reinstalled, and still get it.

    Please see the attached shots:

Let us know (here or over PM) if there is anything else we can try.
  12. @Foreverwhere
That is NOT a crash bug, it is the engine telling you that you're missing a file.

There are only two ways to remove that error:
Either give the project the picture it wants, or remove the reference where the picture is required.

Why that file is missing is another question, but only those two options exist to remove the error.
  13. @Andar, understood. It's still stopping us from saving, but what you are saying makes sense.

We'll work over PM with the developer to fix it if he wants, as we'd love to be able to play this game without the error.
  14. PM sent. The error doesn't show up for any players on Steam so far (been out a few weeks now), so it's something really weird.
  15. Could it be your antivirus detecting the file and removing it?
