Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we revisit the world of Catacombs 1: Demon War by SimProse and WOW are we impressed.
This game experience is a complete 180 degrees from the experience we had last time. The balancing is great and there are no bugs that crash the game.We were able to get a little over an hour into the game and had a great time.
We recommend this game to anyone who wants an old school RPG experience!

Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we skulk into the creepy and terrifying world of Deadly Shutter, a survival horror game very reminiscent of Fatal Frame.
This is an amazing game with great atmosphere, good characterization, and just the right amount of fear-inducing moments. It doesn't rely on jump-scares to get you, instead using sense of rising tension to accomplish its feat.
However, when you get the camera, things start to break down, and combat becomes very difficult. Both of us are used to the Fatal Frame series, and we were unable to understand the nuances of this battle system. Some refinement is necessary.
There are also some writing and grammatical issues that need to be fixed.
However, this is a solid game that, with tweaking, would be something exceptional.

I liked your last first impressions, would you like to make one on my new game too?

(Note: Teal's mic was giving her issues, so she might be hard to hear at some points. We will fix the problem for the next video!)
Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we dive into the world of Swim Racer X, a swimming game with so much heart and a healthy tan. This is a voice-acted game with interesting mechanics that emulate swimming, as well as standard fighting. This is a semi-open-world game with lots to explore and do.
The mapping needs work, however, as does the grammar and punctuation. The voice acting volume also needs to be increased so you can actually hear what the characters are saying.
Also, the initial swim versus fight mechanic is confusing, and the swimming tutorial needs to be split into two parts.
However, once you get into the meat of this game, it's a lot of fun and has a lot of potential. The tongue-in-cheek humor and swimming information is totally on point.
So catch a wave and have some fun!

Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we transport into the MMO world of "Angel: The Silver Sword" by Z-G Games, a game within a game in the spirit of .hack// and Sword Art Online.
This game has a lot of potential with patterning itself after MMORPGs; however, it still requires a lot of work before it's ready. The maps are too big with not enough life, there is a seriously sparse population, and the dungeons have too many dead ends. We can see the game trying to come out from this idea, but it's not there yet.
The character of Steve, however, does have a unique possibility. The game can show the isolation and loneliness a person can feel, especially someone who only has an online game to connect them to others. If this thread is done right, it could become a very powerful story.

Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we explore the fun and attractive world of "The Crelixis Chronicles" by Cloudzchow, a high adventure like the Final Fantasies of old.
This game is a lot of fun with great mechanics, well crafted maps (for the most part; there are a few trouble spots), and fun characters. It has a lot of potential.
However, there is a HUGE issue with the writing and grammar, making an otherwise fun game very difficult to understand. It needs an editor, hands down; otherwise, the player won't be able to understand half of what is being said.
There is also an issue with the way the main character's lack of discipline is being handled. There is no way a person in a military school would be allowed to get away with what Michelle does with such light punishment. There are a few other things about her that don't work, but that is the biggest.
But with some editing and some polish, this game could be something really special.

Full of laughter in my game, hahahahaha!
Glad you enjoy my game so far :3 -
Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we enter the world of Lost Inside by PK Andrews, a VX/Ace game with a lot of potential.
This game reminded us of Dragon Warrior in the world map and equipment presentation, and the enemy balancing was on point. The epic boss battle at the end of the demo is very well paced, very well balanced, and comes across as a true good versus (slimy) evil struggle. There's a lot of inherent humor in this game that needs to be capitalized on during development. There are so many comedic moments that had us laughing constantly.
However, there are things that need improvement. First and foremost, a proper English translation is needed--the developer needs to get an editor to fix the translated text. The music did not work for this public demo and needs to be fixed. The interior map design has too much unused open space, and the world map is too sparsely populated. The same NPC sprites and face sets are used over and over again, and too many NPCs use "..." for dialogue. Lastly, there is no healing item for the Blind status ailment, which is a problem for a physical fighter, especially when starting overworld enemies use that status.
But with these problems fixed, Lost Inside will be a real joy to play.

Can I request?

Of course! We're working through our list right now, and trying to speed things up so people aren't waiting too long.
Just let us know the name of your game and a d/l link. Either here or over PM is fine. -
If you guys want (again) and if you have time (again), you can take a look at this short game (yes another) I made for the Rpg Maker Game Jam on itch.io: https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/night-of-the-living-harolds.83015/
I made it in only 3 days (2 days and a half for developing and half a day for testing), so don't expect anything groundbreaking. :p
It should last around 30 minutes (again) and hopefully give you a good laugh.

And yes, I pretty much copy-pasted this post from my post of the previous game.
If you guys want (and if you have time), you can take a look at this short mini-game I made for the March Madness Mini-Game Contest on this website: https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/al-dente-cooking-contest.76675/

I submitted this new game yesterday so it's still fresh meat, please take all the time you need (even years) to Lp it!
Thanks in advance guys, your Lps are always entertaining! -

Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we sift through the sands of "The Lost" by @Dutch Power Creations. Well polished and with a powerful story, this game had us hooked from the very beginning.
This game has a strong cast of characters, an emotional story, and a very unique and enjoyable tactical battle engine. You cannot hack your way through this game--you have to rely on your wits and strategy to come out on top. This is a refreshing change from what we normally critique.
Having said that, this game has a few tweaks here and there it needs. There needs to be a tutorial battle before the player is asked to read manuals, and there are a few instances of sprites and scenes moving slowly. But these are minor tweaks that can easily be fixed.
Unfortunately, there is a game-crash bug that occurred during the two squad fight. We used three items in a row and were about to use the fourth when the game crashed. Then, for whatever reason, we could not restart the game. We'd like to finish this section of the game, but this needs the be addressed first. Developer, please contact us privately and l;et us know when we can try again.
But otherwise, we love this game and can't wait to see what becomes of it!

Hello everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we jump into the world of "Embers' Pyre" by @Verdelite, an RPG with custom fighting and custom artwork.
This game has a lot going for it: beautiful custom artwork, well-written characters, a battle system based on the Shadow Hearts Judgment Ring, and a robust cast. It really excels in the characterization field--every character has a unique and special voice. We really liked the music too.
Unfortunately, this game needs an overhaul of its beginning. Nothing really happens in the first 90 minutes of the game, the writing is redundant, and the conversations go on way too long. The way the military boot camp worked was unrealistic too--we didn't buy it for a minute.
But if those problems are fixed, this game has a lot of potential and would be a solid entry in the RPG Maker universe.

Hello everyone! in this RPG Maker Let's Play, we return to the world of "The Lost" by Dutch Power Creations. This playthrough picks up where we left off, with some improvements and bug fixes.
The story here is just amazing and powerfully done with strong characters and solid pacing. The battle system is unique with a strong strategic element, and you can't just button mash through it.
The biggest issue we had are the word choices for the "tests" you get. Having the choices all be similar is setting the player up for failure. They need to be different enough that the player who paid attention knows exactly what choice they need to make.
Other than that, this is a great game that we recommend to anyone who likes tactical RPGs.

Hey, would you be interested in trying out my game, Casia? It's an open world game with a lot to do, and it would be great to have your reactions and thoughts on it. :)

Hey there! Sure we'll put you on our list. Our apologies for the delay in replying. :) -
Hey everyone! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we romp into the three dimensional world of Arr Tee Pee 3D, a fun game that doesn't take itself seriously, and is all the better for it.
The developer is the William Castle of RPG Maker Games (not Ed Castle, like Steel said in the video--LOL).
This game is funny is so many ways. It exploits and makes fun of tropes from the onset, and you can tell immediately that it won't take itself seriously. Despite being a comedy-game, it's got a diverse and interesting group of characters. Combat is well balanced and well handled, and the stereoscopic 3D effect is just plain cool.
There are a few problems. First off--if you have 3D glasses--some of the areas don't pop at all. Second, the boss loot needs improvement. Third, with the importance of MP, either the MP-healing item needs to cost less, or needs to be more plentiful. Lastly, the save crystal needs to be introduced earlier and needs to pop a lot more.
But this game has a lot going for it--if you have 3D glasses, watch the video with them. It's fun enough to give the player a good time, and is definitely worth taking a look.
