  1. Hi Kaus,

I tried it again but this time with light. I put light2.png in the parallaxes folder, put the light tag in the map note, then i run the game at that map and it load forever, when i try to close the game, nothing happen, my cursor freeze and nothing i can do. I can only shut down my computer and start again.

You ask me to try again; done.

    You ask my specs:

    Intel Core i5

    8gb ram

    win 64

    gfx card GeForce GTX 760

Thank you for your work! Sad to get that problem, i was really expecting to use overlay mapping.  ;_; ;)

    EDIT:

I did it again with 1.07, same thing. But i manage to close the game without computer freezing, but i has to wait a bit until it close. Is it because my game start on a 250x250 map?

    EDIT2:

Ok i tried it on a 50x50 map and it work like a charm. No heavy loading was felt. So i wonder what can happen with the other map (250x250)... I can live with it, i'll make my other map smaller with more zone transfer. :)
  2. You will really struggle to have your performance with a 250x250 map. imagine the size of each image layer MV will display? even if you do that without my plugin and just use the default parallax it will still freeze and lag because of too large file loading.
  3. Hello,

    Yes, 250x250 is too big.

Cut your map in severall smaller. It's better for engine.
  4. Alright!!!! No problem :) i used overlay on that kind of big map with vx, like world map, and did not got that kind of issue. Thanks for your help and i hope it will help someone.
  5. in vx you have 32x32 per tile size imagine how different it is with 48x48.

    250x250 map is:

8000x8000 image file in VX vs. 12000x12000 image file in MV

filesize will be different. so yeah cut down your maps into pieces.

Even I cut down my world map into pieces to avoid lagging. so sad but its how the engine works.
  6. Yeah!  That's what I'm doing with my project (Baldur's Gate Investigations)  My "pissing around" VX project had the whole town of Eveningstar in one map.  The overlays were in the Gigs. The Gigs.  And even with MV, RPG Maker only accepts PNG files, which aren't very compressable.

I learned my lesson for my design of Baldur's Gate:  I'm divinding that area up into an set of smaller maps that come together Metroidvania-style, each one being a much more managable chunk, limiting the dimensions to around, say 100 squares in any direction max.  (And to some, even that would seem a bit too large.  You can blame the ***hole who made the PNG format for that.
  7. Great work on this plugin! Is there a way to use variables in the Plugin Command to get the fog to, over an amount of seconds, change from one opacity to the next? Something like this:

    screenshot.PNG
  8. 0Just want to tell you, in your help file, for organized option, you metion /orverlays/fog/   (should be /fogs/)

    Excellent! Thanks again!
  11. Thank you so much for the plugin, but I have experienced an issue when overlaying image.

    Overlaid image seems blurry.

The meat on the left is from tileset vs the meat on the right is overlaid by using the plugin.

Could you please help me resolve the problem?

  14. Hi there. I am trying to create an effect where there is an overhead shadow (like forest trees) that move somewhat like a regular parallax - move as the player moves, only slower and in the opposite direction (I think, unless I am remembering wrong). For reference, I'd like an effect like the forest shadows seen in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Would this be possible currently/at some point in the future?
  15. This is a very useful plugin. I intend to use it to create fog for my cloud forest map. Would it be possible to add an option to enable the fog layer while in battle? If the player is navigating a map that has a moving fog layer enabled and an encounter happens, I would like to see the moving fog in the battle scene as well. I was able to get this effect in VX Ace using a Victor script and it would be awesome if I could carry it over to my MV project.

I plan to use this script regardless of if it's possible or not but thought I'd ask :)

It's script for MAPPING, for making a location's maps. Maybe better ask about NEW script for battle window :)  ?
Maybe, it can help You:Tsukihime Battle Weather

Kaus, please do not do a combain from Your beauty script, please!

what do you mean by combine?

A BIG BIG GIANT PLUGIN with MANY unnecessary options!

First be asked one effect in battle, then - second effect in menu, and so one.

Mabe just make a separate plugin for battle window, because it's NOT A MAP! And if someone wants effects in a battle, he will download a plugin with MANY DIFFERENT effects IN BATTLE.

UPD. I don't want to say, that these effects no needed? Of course, I will be glad to use a plagin with that effects too! But only that it is in a separate package and of full value. Maybe with others battle window effects (rain, hearts, sparks, smth else).
  19. Hello, I tried to download your plugin, but when I try to download it chrome says that it is harmful and doesnt let me download it...

EDIT: Yay, now it works! Time to try my new map out!
