@Kaus I see.. well I just updated the plugin also I am having same issue what Morticide have. I'm guessing a switch is require? Since my notetags are the same except I change the Y and X plus to x and y move.
Found out the issue, it definitely is a switch. In the plugin settings you can set the switch number, I think by default its 7. I made an event that set switch ID 7 to on and it worked.

I changed the parameters to switch 1 for ease of use.

I'm having a small issue where my par and light layer won't show, but my ground layer does. I've used all the note tags, but can't seem to figure it out. Anyone have this issue, or know the fix?
    It's because of the switch

    Fog Switch ID: 5

    Light Switch ID: 6

    Par Switch ID: 7

You can set your desired ID thru the parameters in the Plugins Menu

    Read the instructions carefully.

EDIT: oh well guess you figured it out. good job

I was waiting for something like this. I haven't tried it out yet, but thank you so much. My world map has been so dull without moving clouds.
    You're welcome ^_^

Easy to use and very nice for building.

Reminds me a lot of victors fog overlay.

One question though and slightly off topic.

How do you avoid your maps being blurred out?

For some reason I'm getting this with yours/galv and the original parallax.

This isn't the case with the bindpictures to map.
I dont know what you mean by blurred out... could you please post a screenshot?

Yes there's a switch for each layers check the update notes.
  3. I'm having the same problem with blurry parallaxes. It happens with the built-in "!" method, and also your plug-in. Example attached (2x size). Look at the very last one--see how blurry it is compared to the character? And it looks fine in the editor, but not when you run the game. Any idea how to fix?

  4. Ok, I set the resolution of my game to 1920x1080.

My Mapsize is 15x13 tiles, so the size for my parallax images is 720x624 pixels.

I created the parallax image and included it and it is displayed perfectly on the map. However, it is also display anywhere else ;-)

What did I do wrong? Why is it repeated everywhere? Do I need to a 1920x1080 pixels parallax image?

Not an expert here but, unless you take another plugin that fixes your image to some specific place, it will fit your resolution so you have to make a full hd parallax img (If someone knows how to change this, tell us, please :D )

Dont worry about the dimensions. As long as you let empty the "non-interesting" parts, it wont take more mbs on the picture file.
  6. Dear Kaus, I am very glad that you decided to make this script. I am very surprised! It is beyond words! But can I ask,.. if you could make a separate layer for the shadows? It would be very convenient.

(I have a few more wishes, but I do not want to be intrusive and cheeky  >_> )

Hey Kaus my screenshot is in this topic.

Pretty much the same issue as Tommy Gun.

    http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/47290-parallaxes-blurred/
It looks like an RPG MV's Issue as a whole not just by my plugin.

Archeia is currently looking up for this and trying to do a fix. so wait for her update :)

You're minimum size parallax per map should be 1920 by 1080 since that's your screen resolution. it wont take much mb if its transparent anyway :)

Why not just put it in the Parallax layer? I will try to include this one. but its just another layer -_-

I don't know, how it works, just (in Ace) I drew first a parallax withouth shadows, and then on a new layer I draw shadows. It's useful if you want to correct only shadow (especially if you want to change the opasity/transparency/shadow colour).

And Yeah, "its just another layer", but it will be very comfortable in the editing process  :)

Thanks for the answer! I will wait with impatience!

    Thanks for the tipp,

I switched to 1920x1080. This is how it looks in GIMP:

The file is saved correctly as 1920x1080.

However, when I start the game with this image, it looks like this:

It feels like the location of the image is anchored to the wrong location but I may also just have made some mistake that I did not see.

There's now a plug-in to fix the blur! It worked for me: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17078211/KSU_ParallaxSmoothing.js
Nice thanks for the link I'll put it in the OP.

the actual fix for this is, since you're using 1920x1080 resolution you dont just adjust the parallax layer by that size but your map size as well...

computing that resolution... every map you make should be a minimum of 40x23 tile size. that will fix the position of your parallax layers.

keep me posted if you still have problem with this. I'll help as possible.
  11. Loving this so far. I can actually use my fog shadows with this. :3 I got some suggestions.

-Change overlay command. (useful to change the map for nigh and day/ before and after effect. pretty much, ground1 could switch to ground1-2

-Would be helpful if the images were in there own folder rather then the parallax folder.

-Water layer - This would be for useful for those who don't use the map editor. its pretty much a fog layer under the ground layer and has an additional layer under that for the bottom. This would make for some really interesting water. Now, if you want to get fancy with this you can give this layer the pulse effect to add realism to it. The pulse effect would take two images or fogs called dark waves and light waves, have one moving to the top left and the other two the bottom right and at the same time their opacity is changing. As one layer opacity goes up, the other goes down. If you want to give this idea a shot, I can help provide the graphics.

Also, Freebie for this script. Fogs that cast a shadow image. Works best when the blend mode is 0

  12. I have this issue :

    b38b03a641.png

Do you know what the problem is ?

    Thanks.

[EDIT] I removed the "TDDP_BindPictureToMap" plugin and it's working.
  13. Can i add more than one lighting? Coz it would be awesome to use not only sun beams but moon beams too.

Or it will be added in future versions? Or it will be never added?)

    But still amazing work, thx.

yeah, i have this exact problem. i really want to use both scripts so i hope this can get fixed :-/
  15. Can you make it so that the over lay image the "par" image doesn't fade in. Because for parallax mapping it looks weird when the "top" layer fades in. Maybe an option on the script?

    - This only happens when you start on a map with parallaxing.
  16. Okaaay, if someone ask more, then one wish, I'll try too  :)

    1. I needed one more layer for shadows (already asked);

    2. need a variables for each layer (oh, I think it's too brazen, but I would venture to ask it);

    3. a separate folder for each map.

That's all that I wanted to ask. I hope it's not too much, because I only repeat that asked people above  >_>

    Try "Preload Manager"

    http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/46515-preload-manager/

I have not tasted it, but I think it should help.
