  1. The female veteran and the fabulous merchant are my faves so far as well. I'd love to see people come up with stories and relationship dynamics between the two. I could definitely see a very friendly and long standing business relationship. The fabulous merchant makes sure the veteran is taking care of her fabulousness and preaches the benefits of looking good to feel good on the battle field.
  2. YAAAY!!! Love the male hero with the shoulder cape!! *fingerscrossedhegetsafullSVsheet..* :p
AND the crows??? This is perfect.
IRL I have been training our neighborhood crows to hang out at my farm for the last 6yrs now.
They get goodies with all my other animals, and in return, I get warning calls when predators are approaching and/or they'll chase them off. :) I'm hoping soon to start integrating a trinket reward system.. :)

Cant wait to see what else you post! Thank you!

  3. I was hoping Charisma would be the lovely merchant. She's so pretty and cool. :wub One of my favourites so far.
  4. She really is just gorgeous. And, I am not sure if you intended it or not, but it looks like there is a sparkle in her eyes that just add to her glam. Loving this!
  5. @Ms Littlefish I've been making up stories for all these characters while I work on them, and the female adventurer and merchant definitely know each other.
:kaojoy: It's Advent calendar time! :kaojoy:

The female merchant was a hit, so now it's time for her male counterpart!

    Day 6: The Male Merchant!
His fashion sense may be lacking, but the male merchant knows exactly what to carry to help out any adventurers in need! Just don't laugh at his mullet or you'll find his prices skyrocketing.
    $merchant_male1.png

His alternate sprite comes with a well-stocked backpack, so that he can sell your heroes 20 potions at a time! Or maybe he carries a camping set with him that he'll let your heroes rent in the middle of a dungeon (for a modest fee, of course).

You can probably guess the type of sprite that will show up tomorrow, but you can still affect where it should come from: land, sea, or demon realm? :rwink:

    Happy game making! :ptea:
  6. A perfect representation of the vile, hideous abomination that is the mullet. I think this is one of the a-holes who hangs vulgar political banners along my kids' bus route.

(Seriously, your hair texturing is impressive.)

Maybe the next release should be a mulleted sea demon?
  7. I love both merchants, the hair is amazing.
How about someone from the demon realm? That sounds fun :D
  8. Oh no! That mullet is the worst! XD With it I fear this merchant comes off as a very, um, unsavory and greedy kind of character. Someone with high prices and an ego that might just send the players to spend the extra effort to track down his more beautiful counterpart, even if she's no where near the area.
  9. Excuse me sir, would you like to buy these world famous hair products? This shampoo makes your hair gleam and shine - just like mine!
  10. Mullet is pure horror tho, really well done! :wub :kaoswt:
  11. Who will be the forst to use him in game? And call him Mullet?
  12. Glad you gave him that monocle, because otherwise I might think he came from Sandy Shores in GTA V and had a cousin named Cletus who berates him for trying to be "all fancy-like".
  13. Ah ye olde Tiger King, I see :D
I do love the backpack and monocle on him.

    Voting demon for tomorrow!
  14. Demon realm! After all, what's a little holiday cheer without some Krampus to balance it out, eh? :p

  15. I say demon realm. I always need something to make my villains' realms a little different. And it just so happens that my villains are mostly demons, as my heroes are usually creatures of divinity.
  16. He looks like he’s ready to head out to the bowling alley. And, don’t laugh at mullets! Sometimes they just happen! Lady cut my layers way too short last winter, and with my bangs…that’s a mullet. Finally just got it grown out enough to de-mullet myself. :guffaw:

    I say sea!
  17. :kaojoy: It's Advent calendar time! :kaojoy:

It was a tight race today, but we have a winner: demon realm! So let's see what monster is joining the roster! :D

    Day 7: Petit Devils!
This little bugger is always on the lookout for trouble it can cause! A Cheshire cat grin and a relaxed pose as it floats through the air have disarmed many an adventurer, so don't forget that it's a demon! I've also made downed poses for it, just in case your protagonist is the demon lord and they find their minions defeated by a bothersome team of heroes.
    $petitdevil1.png$petitdevil1_down.png

Its alternate sprite loses its jewelry and goes with a cooler color palette, just in case you have an icy plain to your demon realm.
    $petitdevil2.png$petitdevil2_down.png

And the alternate version also gets a enemy recolor so you can face it in battle!
    petitdevil-recolor.png

Now I'm curious, what were you expecting today? 'Demon realm' does leave a lot of options, so what other things would you like to see in the future?
    Happy game making! :ptea:
  18. It's adorable! I mean, evil. So evil. And scary.

Since you ask, demon "realm" makes me think of the world itself and a tileset. I haven't searched exhaustively, but the stuff that comes with RPG Maker is basically normal walls that're purple and vaguely organic.

And there's not a lot in terms of disturbing/bizarre/horrifying terrain pieces.

What happen Turan? The pulsing shades of Purple arent evvvviiiiiiiiillll enough for ya?

In all seriousness though, we need more things that allude to gore without being explicit. We need to FEEL like being in this place is dangerous and not just that Grimace was in charge of interior design.

    I boop.
  20. Excellent sprite work on Petit Devils, the downed sprites are particularly great.
