  1. I love those androids. I think I'll use them in my game.
  2. Aww, the Android lady is so cute. You did a great job on her. (I guess we'll be seeing a Mr. Android in the future? :D)
  3. I love the different eye colors within in each color way. I could imagine them being used either as good vs evil android, or even for the one very helpful android to signal danger or ready for battle!
  4. You can never have too many druids! Awesome craftsmanship on the sprites; they came out great!
  5. @ATT_Turan - I've never thought about that before, but I suppose so! XD

@hiddenone - Oh, absolutely! I hope that the android is used in some parties. That would be great. Love the idea of her getting activated after the spaceship has suffered some trouble.

@Kes - Why you are very welcome!

@Saneterre - I'm giddy with joy to know that the androids will be used so quickly. X)

    @slimmmeiske2 - SHHHH! XD (wink)

@Ms Littlefish - Thank you kindly, the different optic colors were added specifically for the community to use in whatever creative way they wanted. So I am quite pleased to read that it is giving even you some ideas on how they can be used. I loved the idea of using it as a warning for danger!

@GalacticGod - I think you meant to type 'droids' instead of 'druids', but I can absolutely agree that we cannot have too many of either one! XD There is an old inside joke in my old D&D group about druids, so thank you for that laugh.

Advent: Day 3 ~ Buddhist Monks!

Something else that I have noticed for a long time, besides the lack of sci-fi sprites, is a lack of various religious sprites. There is the classic nun sprite, and I have even spotted a pope sprite, but not one Buddhist monk, which I thought was quite odd given that there are orient tilesets. Well, no more! With some crafty editing of the RPG assets, I was able to put together four various Buddhist Monks, including their elderly leader, to fill out the roster of any new mountaintop monasteries. What will the introduction of this new group do in your games? Will there be a conflict between the East vs West religions? Perhaps the party can recruit a Buddhist Monk to their party? Was the prophesied Chosen Hero hidden away and kept safe by the Monks? Who are they? What are there goals?

  6. Those monks might make interesting guardians for my game.
  7. Love the monks too. Time to make a temple to display some words of wisdom to my heroes
  8. Love the variation of all of the monks from the young ones to the elderly.
I believe I've seen a Japanese buddhist monk sprite somewhere (they tend to dress differently).
  9. Oh my goodness, these are amazing... Crisp, clean, expressive, and super useful for dev. Thanks so much for sharing!
  10. Huh. Now that you mention it…yeah. This was lacking in the current resources. What a great addition!
  11. @LunarFlareStudios - Glad to read that they are already causing some inspiration to flare.

@Saneterre - Yay! I love it that the monks are already finding a nice new home in the community's rpg games. I hope they continue to inspire your muse.

@slimmmeiske2 - Not gonna lie, trying to come up with variation for them was a bit difficult when they wear the same robe. Kept digging online and started finding photos of some with both sleeves and yellow and red variation of the robes. I wasn't exactly sure if that had any significance to their standing in their temples, or if it represented you were from a different temple, but I used it to further help add variation to the monks I had. And really? I hadn't seen any type of Buddhist monks on the site before but I would love to check it out. I will have to try and dig deeper and look up what the Japanese Buddhist Monks dress like. I know there is another group that are warrior monks. That might be cool to do sometime down the road.

@Starbird_Resources - Why thank you for the lovely words. :) The facesets are edits of the RTP faces actually., except for Monk2, he's generator parts. For specifics, Monk1 is People1_3, Monk2 is Generator pieces, Monk3 is People2_5, Monk4 is the elderly man from People1_7, and Monk5 is an edit of the Butler from People3_6. Maybe that might inspire more inspiration if people want to give background to the characters, perhaps they really are those People who became monks? Or just use them as entirely new individuals.

@Ms Littlefish - I honestly had a very similar reaction when I realized it myself. Just, kind of stunned, I guess? Very, 'Huh.' Perfectly put.

    Advent: Day 4 ~ SF_Castle Tiles

I need to level with the community -- I have always loved the old castle walls and fancy decor in the SF tiles and was disappointed it wasn't expanded on further. It could have made for some amazing castle or even city tiles. Well, no more! I took matters into my own hands this Advent and took the SF fancy castle pieces (whatever you want to call them) and began editing them into some useful auto Buildings_A4 tilechip and stitched together a partial Tile_E to begin expanding on the lovely theme with some more useful matching pieces. I've included the original SF castle pieces for ease of use, along with a now matching tower, a well, a full rusted fence set, modified an RTP pillar to match the color palette, made the original SF pillar a stand alone, added tops to the pillars to use against the fore walls, recolors the RTP lamps to match the fence and the walls, and designed some windows and doors to match the same filigree theme found on the clock and original walls.

I hope the community finds these edits useful. Would anyone want to see this set expanded on with additional pieces? What exactly would you like to see added if so? Furthermore, what would everyone like to see for tomorrows drop? More sprites? More tile pieces? Or something random?

  12. Lamps! Fancy metalwork! Windows! All my favorite things! I love what you've done with this set, I would never have seen it hiding in the SF tiles. Thank you so much! I would definitely be interested in more for this set someday, if you're inspired to do more.
  13. Oh me, oh my. That is a mighty fine tileset. This definitely supplies brain juice for me.

Absolutely yes. This is already a wonderful addition, but more would be the icing on the cake.
Thank you for your inspiring work.
  15. Thank you for the work! One can never have enough city stuff :LZSproud:
  16. I'm not sure if the Japanese Buddhist monk I saw was on this site, but they're definitely floating around somewhere. (The Trinity DLC also has one.)

Those manor/castle pieces are my favourite thing from the SF tilesets. I love the additions you've made and would of course love to see even more. :D
  17. Love how you tied all those castle pieces together, you’ve made it so easy to build grand castles! I’d also love to see more.
  18. Everyone seems to have really loved the edits and expansions I've made to the SF Manor/Castle tileset pieces from the RTP. I'm honestly floored. I still have day slots open for the Advent, because I started late, and I have some new ideas that recently came to me. If I have some time to expand the set I'll have a crack at it. But we'll see how things go. :)

    Advent: Day 5 ~ SV Battler Monster6

I am really late on today's post, apologies everyone! Not quite sure where the time went. So, onto it!

There has already been a plethora of resources created to fill out the What the RTP is Missing MV Edition, but I did manage to find something that was lacking that I hope the community can enjoy - the SV battler for Monster6, or rather, the Skeleton Dancer. Now Monster6 can properly join the battle as either an enemy or become an official ally that can join the hero's party! And if she does, what is her goals? Does she seek vengeance on scoundrel's who murdered her? Has her spirit failed to pass on until she settles her last regrets? Or has some necromancer's spell gone terribly awry?

In addition, while in the process of creating the jewelry and clothes from scratch for this battler, I remembered that the wonderful Avery had made Monster6 while she was still alive and figured, what the heck. It was just a small process after the clothes to put together the SV battler for Avery's rendition of MV's Dancer. So if anyone chooses to use the still living Monster6 SV battler, please visit Avery's MV Stuff thread and pick up her walking sprite and face graphic to make her a full member of the party. <3

  19. Great job again. I really love characters that you can add to your party, so a big thank you. The castle tiles are great too.
  20. She's looking great! Who wouldn't want to have her in your party? :wub
