  1. I love the BeeKeeper and the Honey Covered Chests, the chests will go great in an area in my game where the party has to journey into a giant Bee Hive.

Also, I really like the additions to the Heaven/Cloud tilesets. Everything looks so great!

@WaywardMartian ~ I myself prefer and use tall sprites, so I feel you when you say you don't use those size sprites. Maybe one day I'll make a taller version of it.

@Corvyn ~ I just started adding my name to the resources because I saw someone commenting about it on the forum this month and I thought it made a lot of sense. I do keep other content creators materials separated into folders, however once I start putting resources into the engine I can forgot what came from where especially if the project is taking me a while to complete.

@ATT_Turan ~ Apiarists? Is that the official term for beekeepers? I've learned something new today :)

@hiddenone ~ Coming in with those sweet sweet jokes. Thank you! I needed the laugh. XD

    ADVENT: DAY 17 ~~ CLOUD/HEAVEN BIOME EXPANDED!

Returning this year is the Heaven/Cloud tilesets! There is a brand new addition to the set with an A5 tileset, providing much needed cliffs and rough and sculped stairs for the players to traverse. Once again the clouds in the A5 tiles come in three color variations: white fluffy clouds, grey, and storm. If that wasn't enough Tile E has been expanded with some cloud ramps to reach higher elevations and a mountain peak snagged from the RTP pictures. There are many ways one can reach the Cloud Biome, and why not have one of those ways be by climbing the tallest mountains? Put those cliff maps to use and reach for the skies!

UMMMM.... YES PLEASE!! These are awesome!! Thank you for the tiles omgosh those mountain peaks!? I am on cloud 9!
  3. @123edc - Um... if you program a jump animation then, yes?

@Kes - The mountains are actually from one of the scenic pictures in the RTP. Just snipped them out and added additional shading to try to blend it better with the tileset.

@slimmmeiske2 - Believe it or not, when I was making Teacup last year and talking to Avery about him, I was all sorts of nervous that the community wouldn't like him because he was so whimsical. My anxiety absolutely got crushed with all the love the community heaped on him. I'm still a bit blown away at how much everyone loves him.

@hiddenone - Right? With the addition of the cloud variation it can add so many new layers for storytelling.

@GalacticGod - Eeee! Always so great to hear when someone has need of the assets I've made. So cool to hear that you have a Bee biome in your game! :D

@CCCreations - XD Well if you loved those additions to last year's Heaven Biome, I think you are going to like today's too.

    ADVENT: DAY 18 ~~ CLOUD/HEAVEN WATER TILES A1

Continuing with yesterday's theme of the Cloud/Heaven biome, I am flooding the game worlds with the A1 water tiles. Now the heaven biome can have a proper lake that rains upon the world, or if the Heaven biome has been polluted, let there be acid lakes and rains! Feeling more biblical? What can be worse than acid lakes and rains? Why, what if evil invaded the heavens and corrupted its source? Or the RTP gods are really angry. Well I have blood waters to go with that too.

Shoutout to @Avery for this wonderful idea when I was stumped for ideas. :ptea:

  4. Such a good idea and perfectly executed! :kaoluv: Having dark clouds with bloody lakes could explain an unlucky village’s curse, or maybe the gods just like messing with heroes when they make it to the gods’ domain by turning water into pea soup.
  5. Excellent addition. Thank you.
  6. @hiddenone ~ Love the creative ideas. My first thought was, are the players facing off against a trickster god or an angry one for them to pull such a move.

Err, sorry for being late today, everyone! Amid the daily grind and cooking new recipes, I completely lost track of time. Let me correct my mistake by dropping the...

ADVENT: DAY 19 ~~ ELEPHANT SADDLE

Do your adventurer's need a lift? But what's this? There are no dragons, horses, or portals about but there is that large elephant over there--No problem. I've got a saddle whipped up so there can be an elephant quick travel around your world if you so choose. How's that for travel.

  7. You might be late, but it's perfect timing for me to grab resources before going off to work. The joys of time zones.

That is a stunning addition and, as far as I am aware, completely original. Excellent work.
    Thank you.
  8. Well worth the extra wait. Awesome job on the sprite!

I said it before Ill say it again... HOLY COW THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Love them so much!!
  10. where's my war ballista ...
i want a warelephant ô.O reminds me of the old aoe games xD
  11. @Kes - Gotta love the time zone differences! XD And yes, completely original, painstakingly crafted one pixel at a time.

@GalacticGod -Thank you, the saddle ended up taking a bit more time than I imagined. Couldn't find very good reference photos for what I was really looking for but thought this was a good medium, a kind of taxi-elephant.

@CCCreations - <3 Thank you for saying so!

@ATT_Turan - Thank you, I needed that laugh. I wasn't expecting Gimli, but after seeing that I realized it was exactly what I should have expected. XD

ADVENT: DAY 20 ~~ HUNTING TROPHIES

Heard around the grapevine that one of the things requested this year were trophies. Now, I wasn't sure what kind of trophies the community was looking for, but I tried my best. While crafting the elephant sprites, I kept thinking of all the things associated with them -travel, poaching, and hunting, and viola, I knew what kind of trophies I could whip up. So today I'm dropping mounted trophies for those woodsmen, skilled adventurers, or big game hunter kings in your games. Decorate their walls to show off their skills, or use the empty mounts to create your own custom. If that wasn't enough, there are crates of tusks those darn poachers are collecting for the ivory and elephant foot garbage cans.

Is your next side quest to stop a group of poachers? Or is your hero determined to decorate their walls with their exploits.

    Trophies.png
  12. Those are very cool! Perfect for sticking an orc or dragon head onto.

Could even combine it with some of the NPCs @hiddenone has made - y'know, take the Pippi Longstocking head, stick it onto the plaque, you get a trophy wife!

No, wait, that's not what that means...
  13. I think I was one of the people who requested wall trophies, so thank you. It will help a lot to have these. And though I'm into customising, I don't think I'll follow ATT_Turan's final suggestion.
  14. @ATT_Turan - 'Perfect for sticking an orc or dragon head onto.' --Exactly my thoughts when I made them. The plaques can get a lot of use between the different monsters in the RTP and all the custom animals created by the community (cough-whtdragon-cough!) Could very easily end up with a hunters dream of mounted trophies, or a cozy cabin lodge vibe.

@Kes-Well then! Happy to have fulfilled one of your Christmas wishes this holiday season. :)

Sooo....I haven't actually finished what I had planned to post today, so I'm going to be switching some days around. Hope nobody minds. ;)

ADVENT: DAY 21 ~~ MIND FLAYER BASES

Was the Mind Flayer dropped earlier this Advent not exactly what you had in mind? That's quite alright! If you had other ideas for what a Mind Flayer should dress as, I have you covered with this Mind Flayer base + damaged base. With these you can dress your Mind Flayer's however you please, they come in the default sprite size and should work with the generator pieces. They even come in different colors for anyone fancying a more aquatic take, creepy tentacled green alien approach, or even a vampire squid allure.

Hello everyone and welcome to my latest MV resource thread! I have a bit of everything, so here's hoping you find some things in here that you didn't know you absolutely needed until now.
Great resources as usual! Especially like all the fantasy stuff.

I'm actually planning on using those beehive tilesets and recoloring them for the Changling Hive in my MLP fangame. Also I'm using the Heaven tileset for a "Continue" screen if you die LOL.
  16. The mindflayer bases are kind of outstanding.

Although I don't know how I feel about seeing a mindflayer in its underwear. Does it even have recognizable anatomy down there?

    Do mindflayers poop?!
  17. I love these new bases. I can definitely do things with these.
Thank you for another ultra useful addition.

I don't think I want to know the answer to that.

That's okay...I've already started musing about a new D&D campaign where there's a powerful psychotropic drug made of illithid feces.
  19. The hunting trophies turned out great!

And those mind flayer bases perfect! Now we can replace Reid with a tentacled hero.
  20. Love those hunting trophies. I could use them for Karven the Hunter, (If I ever get around to the Spider-Man RPG I want to make, lol). Also, the mind flayer bases look incredible. Great Job!
