Teacup is a sprite now! I always make my own static battlers and face sets, but these sprites I am collecting! :D

ADVENT: DAY 15 ~~ AN OWLBEAR HAS BEEN SPOTTED!
Be careful when traveling this holiday season, locale rangers have reported that Owlbears have been spotted roaming the nearby forests and snowy tundra. They are usually in hibernation this time of year, so whatever has woken them from their slumbers has likely made them extra angry, or they are extra hungry!
-
Those owlbears are just adorable! And a lot of awesome detail.
-
i love all of these animals
realy helps, to populate the wildlife of our worlds! -
Wow, the OwlBear sprites are incredible! I think they would go great with Low's OwlBear Battlers as well.
-
So cute, I’d definitely risk injury to hug one of those owlbears! And having the sleeping poses for them is so useful too. :kaoluv:
-
Excellent work on that owlbear. As soon as I saw it I thought: I've got a battler for that, so you can be sure that this is something that I'll be using.
Thank you. -
Those owlbears are adorable! I just want to pet them and cuddle them and carry them around like teddy bears.
-
Thank you everyone for the outpouring of love for the owlbear sprites! :D I had a lot of fun making them and, next to Teacup, is one of my personal favorites that I made for this year's Advent. I also learned from @GalacticGod that Low has a battler of the Owlbear he calls the Owlbeast over on his Itch page. I had no idea it existed and can't stop 'awwing' at its cuteness even as it likely will shred my players to bits.
ADVENT: DAY 16 ~~ BEEKEEPER AND HONEY-COVERED CHEST
After some investigation, it appears the Owlbear's are indeed 'hangry' and have come out of hibernation to sample the locale honey. The beekeepers have done their best to secure this precious liquid inside of chests. Will their efforts work at keeping the Owlbear's at bay?
That's right, today's drop features a medieval-dressed Beekeeper sprite with a Down pose (of course I would bring something bee-related to the Advent ;D). Also at the wonderful Avery's suggestion, I took the liberty of pouring honey all over the RTP chests for anyone who wants to further drive the point in that they players have entered a themed biome.
Will the Beekeeper's be peaceful npcs harvesting honey for the locale monastery or town, is the honey a major source of their income, or are the Beekeepers yet another mob standing in the players way as they ravage the Bee Biome?
For those that decide they need bee-themed assets: Avery has a wonderful Honey Bee, Hiddenone has some wasps, and whtdragon has beehives and more wasps. Bee-themed tilesets can be found at the first page of this thread.
Happy RPGing, everyone!

Hooray, the medieval beekeeper! Even if I don't use that size of sprite, I am thrilled to see it! :D Honey chest I can use if I ever finish anything. ;)
-
These are fantastic. The owlbears are amazing and fluffy. I'll take 47.
And it may be a strange thing to say, but thank you for putting your name on your resources. Adding the creator's name to a single file doesn't take much time, but it adds up fast! -
The apiarists are neat, and the chests would go great with any of the hive tilesets!
I just make a folder for each artist and stick their downloads inside of that. If they have any terms beyond credit, I include that in the folder name (e.g. "Avery give game").Adding the creator's name to a single file doesn't take much time, but it adds up fast! -
That's... very smart, actually. I should do that. Thank you for the idea! The apiarists are neat, and the chests would go great with any of the hive tilesets! That medieval beekeeper is great, but I just can't look away from those honey treasure chests! Such a sweet release!
-
@WaywardMartian ~ I myself prefer and use tall sprites, so I feel you when you say you don't use those size sprites. Maybe one day I'll make a taller version of it.
@Corvyn ~ I just started adding my name to the resources because I saw someone commenting about it on the forum this month and I thought it made a lot of sense. I do keep other content creators materials separated into folders, however once I start putting resources into the engine I can forgot what came from where especially if the project is taking me a while to complete.
@ATT_Turan ~ Apiarists? Is that the official term for beekeepers? I've learned something new today :)
@hiddenone ~ Coming in with those sweet sweet jokes. Thank you! I needed the laugh. XD
ADVENT: DAY 17 ~~ CLOUD/HEAVEN BIOME EXPANDED!
Returning this year is the Heaven/Cloud tilesets! There is a brand new addition to the set with an A5 tileset, providing much needed cliffs and rough and sculped stairs for the players to traverse. Once again the clouds in the A5 tiles come in three color variations: white fluffy clouds, grey, and storm. If that wasn't enough Tile E has been expanded with some cloud ramps to reach higher elevations and a mountain peak snagged from the RTP pictures. There are many ways one can reach the Cloud Biome, and why not have one of those ways be by climbing the tallest mountains? Put those cliff maps to use and reach for the skies!

but ... can we actually jump on these clouds?
-
I would have loved to be able to double like the post, but sadly one will have to do.
Thank you for this expansion and to have it in multiple tones is excellent. I love the mountains, great job on those. -
Aww, those teacups are so adorable. They were my favourite from last year's, so happy to see them back. Love that you provided full faceset/busts and big sprites for them now :wub
And the cloud biome is so cool! -
Those cloud tiles are awesome! And having options for different cloud colors is such a good idea, the world could change depending on the story or even just based on the current weather.
