You remembered the statue! Thank you very much.
That mouth is suitably intimidating.

I love those whale sprites! These all look great!

Words quite possibly never said or typed in the English language before.Animated Flesh Dungeon Mouth!
-
Heck yeah disabled rights! :kaojoy:Advent Calendar Day 13: SV Wheelchair Base
-
Strange and oft times disturbing creatures are met within the flesh dungeon or demon world biomes. Sometimes those creatures make their way to the prime material plane, the realm in which the heroes live. Perhaps they are scouts ahead of a larger force or spies for a dark lord. Whatever their mission, today's drop brings us:
Advent Calendar Day 15: Eye Aberrations
The community might remember another eye aberration I created some years ago. The Eye Aberration was created using the central eye off of the RTP Big Bosses. I simply stripped it down and built it back up again. For today's drop, I decided to take that same Eye Aberration from years back and strip it down again to its bare base to match one of @Thalzon's more recent MV Battler drops labeled Body_08 and Body_08a respectfully. Now the community has some more sprite options to add creep factors to their games, if one so chooses.
-
I particularly like the dark option. With some careful lighting and placement that is going to be ultra creepy.
Thank you. -
Arriving from the belly of the whale victorious, Harold and Company at last arrive back home on the shores of their homeland...only to discover they are wanted fugitives! Why? What for? And who paid for all those wanted posters? The group decides to seek answers by banging down the door of the local...
Advent Day 16: Old Printing Press--Updated!
This was another favorite of the community that was asked to be revisited for additional content. I have added a clock, shelving for paper, and a whole slew of wanted posters! The wanted posters showcase the forward facing busts of the Actors1-3 and Evil1 from the RTP. I even have a blank wanted poster for anyone that wanted to add in their own custom character or monster ;) With these additions it brings the Old Printing Press tiles up to half a tile sheet.
-
And even if you don't have a need for a printing press, those wanted posters will really help spruce up the quest/bulletin board in your Adventurer's Guild. :) I'm definitely going to do a little clumping here. Love those flower arrangements and origami as well.
-
Yeah those printing press tiles are still one of my all time favorites :)
-
I never noticed the originals but I can see why the printing press was so popular. They're great.

While investigating the Old Printing Press, Harold and Company are attacked by a very strange, very oily water elemental that Lucius identifies as...
Advent Calendar Day 17: Water Weirds
Forgive me if I am mistaken and have missed some awesome sprites somewhere, but it always seemed to me that the community was greatly lacking in a variety of elementals. Today I am bringing out the Water Weird from Dungeons and Dragons. A serpentine kind of water elemental with a wave crest like mohawk running down its back and catfish like whiskers. It's body was made to disappear into a body of water and a number of the sprites I colored to match the RTP water sources so that the Water Weird can appear in a plethora of biomes. The color patterns go as such: Default, Acid, Swamp, Lava, Shallow, Oily/Corrupted, Deep, Tropical and Blood Weird.
-
More monster sprites are always needed. ^_^
-
Great to have another monster. Thank you.
-
The quest continues! Harold and Co. have discovered that an ancient evil has wormed its way back into their homeland while they were away. The company of heroes immediately set out to liberate their friends, family and country from this vile force. Where ever it has spread, death and decay go. Not even nature is safe from this miasmic evil. Retracing their way through Mimic Forest, they are ambushed by...
Advent Calendar Day 18: Corpse Flower
Another monster from Dungeons and Dragons that I was introduced to through @Thalzon's MV Battlers. The moment I saw his rendition of the Corpse Flower, I knew I had to make a matching large sprite for it. This evil plant feeds itself on corpses, thus giving it its very name! It even produces a foul odor and lashes out with its roots. A perfect monster to drop into those jungle mazes, deep forests, even overgrown cemeteries! Match it with the RTP Carnivorous Plant to start building a strange and disturbing bestiary of killer plant life for your games.
Note: The Corpse Flower sprite is only an 'idle' pose. When making it, I thought the Corpse Flower was a rooted enemy and did not realize the horrible thing could actually move around and even climb walls. (Shudders)
When using Thalzon's battlers as reference for this sprite, I made sure to match the color for the large flowers so that his battlers made sense to use with them. But if anyone wanted some other color, I provided the flowers as separate. Just a bit of editing required.
-
Those are great! I join you in your shudder.
-
The Corpse Flower is very impressive, love all the small details you put into it; just awesome!
-
Uh, another one of my favourites this year. And I am glad that it is not chasing people as well, that would make it TOO scary xD
It could also be "just a flower" in an overgrown dark ruin or a fantasy jungle, I am looking forward to spot it in people's games! -
I love my flowers to be nice and corpsey. Good job.
-
no need for printing tiles, but some can be used for desk.
the waterweirds can come in handy, and the creepy eyes
to build a mini boss/boss battle with white and black eye
or a bunch of them.
keep up the amazing work though. -
The battle continues...
Advent Calendar Day 19: Tall SF_Skeleton+
I don't know about anyone else, but I loved the look of the display skeleton in the SF tiles. It looked gritty, weathered, and dirty as though it had just been dug up and not the fresh sun bleached bones of the Monster Skeleton Lady that we got. Bonus: he was just the right height for tall sprites! And as far as I could find, no one had done anything with such a perfectly good specimen. Around September is when I set about freeing that poor skeleton from his undead life of servitude in a sterile classroom and animated him walking. I went a step further and made a small edit of him with his jaw hanging open, because why not, and a little animation of him talking if anyone wanted a talking skeleton. (Cough!~Chrono Cross~Cough!) Now the tall sprites can too be terrorized by spooky skeletons hiding in the forest, or mass hordes. Heck, with a bit of clever editing I am sure these guys can be outfitted to be Pirate Skeletons too!
