I love the idea of these.
And it's not just a pirate skeleton - I wonder if WaywardMartian's outfits would work? In one of my games I had a skeleton who wore a rather snazzy hat, but he was 32x32 so wouldn't fit in my current project. But this one might, and could be wearing a whole range of items.
Thank you.

Love that this skeleton has now been brought to life .... or should that be rebrought? I envision the adventurers noticing that the skeleton seems to be trying to say something. Unlike the tin man who just needed a little oil, this bag of bones is squeaking 'mana... mana...' But will that potion release a loyal ally or a formidable boss enemy?
-
uh... that skeleton is spooky! hmmm... but i miss that his chin is falling down while laughing!
-
It is funny how half of your advent resources to bring joy to people also make sure their heroes are absolutly miserable xD Swallowed by a whale, eaten by a corpse feasting plant or chased by a skeleton, there is so much in stock for them :D
-
And of course, a horde of baddies would not be complete without a heavy or miniboss right? Which brings me to today's drop...
Advent Calendar Day 20: Bone Golem
What can I say? When I need to flush out the roster of enemy units of a type, in this case undead, and I can't find what I need? I gotta create it then. The Bone Golem is a favorite of mine. I have run across similar horrifying behemoths in other games, such as Chrono Trigger and Baldur's Gate: Shadows of Amn, and it was terrifying meeting this thing coming down the hallway of dark crypt, bringing up the rear of the skeleton hordes I was cutting through and freaking out because I was already low on health and knew, the more skeletons I cut down, that the Bone Golem was getting closer...
The Bone Golem has been reimagined in many forms, but in this instance I tried to base the design off of yet another one of @Thalzon's MV Battlers. So once again, we now have a walking on map sprite for another pre-created battler.
@Kes ~ That is an idea! I wonder if WaywardMartian's graphics would fit on the skeleton? Let me know if you try it out.
@Lady_JJ ~ I got a chuckle out of the skeleton squeaking 'mana...mana...' And I can say, as a gamer, the conundrum of whether or not to feed the skeleton mana and gamble that I may gain an ally or a boss would be something I could not walk away from.
@Avery ~ You forgot to mention the traps! XD -
It looks like there's something wrong with the sprite - only the top row is displaying.
-
Sorry @ATT_Turan, that was all I had made for this large sprite was the forward down walking animation.
-
No sorry! I just didn't see anything in your post that said to expect that, so I thought something might've gotten corrupted in the upload.
It still looks awesome  -
really thankful! I love the design of your spirits and it makes me want to make horror games again.

Advent Calendar Day 21: Gentle Rolling Hills
This was something that was really bothering me. I have been wanting just simple rolling hills. Not the rocky ones I see in DLC's and other paid resources, and though Hiddenone did some amazing hills, those too were also rocky. So, I decided for the advent this year I would take a crack at making the kind of gentle sloping hills that would surround a halfling village or the foothills that skirt a mountain range. Whatever the community chooses to use them for, I hope they come in handy.
-
Absolutely yes! I've been waiting since you mentioned them some time ago in another thread and here they are. Definitely worth waiting for.
Thank you. -
That looks great.
-
Great. Will be snow/dirt/swamp/volcano version?
-
@icerider- The three I already dropped are grass, dirt and sand. I do plan on adding snow and other biomes later.
-
A bit late to the party, but I love all your releases so far! Great work, strong colors and also so creative! I personally love the tea elemental the most, but as a passionate tea drinker I may be a bit biased. Expect some mapping next year with your ressources!
Keep going and looking forward the remaining days! -
ah! i really missed such ones aswell, guardinthena! i am bad at making such graphics so i am happy that you do such a wonderful work for all and for free! :kaoluv:
-
Those rolling hills are dope as hell. Love 'em.
-
Oh, those are so cool! Thanks for making them!
-
It is so crazy how quickly this month went by! We're almost done with the advent! And speaking of, let's just quickly dive into...
Advent Calendar Day 22: Comic Style Harold!
I tried my hand at drawing Harold again in my art style and thought I would share the results with the community. My art style is heavily influenced from American cartoons from the 90s and comic books - particularly noir style and Elfquest. Should I convert more actors from the RTP? Drop a comment and let me know if this is something that you would like to see more of.

I think it would be a big help to have the other characters redone in this style. And the facial expressions you have given him are much more interesting than the ones the generator produces.
Great work.
