  1. Untitled-1.jpg
Working on a foggy crossroad set somewhere in the states - but I honestly just noticed that I don't really know how the road sineage in terms of lines on the streets work in the US :headshake: Need to check up on that.
  2. @Dust Looks pretty nice to me. Some of the fog looks a little more like bright spots to me, but that could just be me.

In the U.S. traffic signs generally go on the right side since we drive on the right side of the road. Or I guess I should say that the sign on the right faces the oncoming traffic and any sign on the left is facing the opposite traffic. If I am saying that in a way that makes any sense.

Oh, heck. Your STOP signs need to be on the other side. There.

We also generally don't have any sort of markings across intersections unless they are a crosswalk. At least generally.

And now I am unsure how most road handle marking through the intersection. Like the yellow lines. I have been driving here for 40 years so you'd think I would know that, but it isn't something I have really paid attention to.
  3. @ZombieKidzRule thank you so much for the detailed writeup. And yes, same! I never really thought about road markings :D but I guess as long as it makes sense in the game's world itself.
  4. Do you hear what I hear? It's a new map for A Shadow's Echo!

  5. @cthulhusquid I think the 100% instant transition from snow to grass could do with fudging a bit. Maybe have a few small patches of snow on the grass and grass on the snow? Same with the trees - a bit of editing to take some of the snow covered branches and put them on the trees nearest the transition point, preferably near to where you've put one of the odd patches of snow.
  6. The game name is 'Severed Cord', the chapter 1/demo is planned to be released this January 2024.

  7. @cthulhusquid what Kes said! Also, I adore the combo of those dark cliffs and the fir trees, it just screams dark fantasy to me :wub

You hit the nail on the head, it's a dark fantasy game.
  9. First BOSS! A cat.

  10. Hello! ^^
Here are some recreations of the World, Azimut and Nadiria maps from Dragon Warrior IV (NES) I made on RPG Maker MV a few years ago. :)

  11. Teehee!:kaoluv: I evented the intro for my li'l springtime game called Shadowloom. Milo and Sylvalie have their first meeting in a late evening forest. What do y'all think, is there enough contrast between the background and the chars? Workin' with a limited palette, mind!

    Spoiler

  12. @alice_gristle I think you've got ample contrast there.

    EDIT
Given the usual definition of rapine, I don't think it's something that the baddies can do "on the poor body" of our fair princess.
  13. @alice_gristle I like it!

And PSA for those too lazy to look…rapine does not mean what you think it means. I know. I had to look it up.

You're correct, sweetie!:kaoswt: I just now educated myself on the exact meaning! HOWEVER, seein' as the dark knights might be plannin' to violently seize and carry off the fruits of the princess's garden... Okay, Ima shut up
  15. Here's all 5 weathers in my post apocalyptic game so far.

    Normal (no in-game effect):
    Screenshot (416).png
Dusty (no in-game effect, but has subtle dust clouds blowing):
    Screenshot (415).png
Sand Storm (prevents sprinting, has lots of sand grains blowing):
    Screenshot (414).png
Heatwave (decreases Hydration over time, prevents sprinting, wavy screen effect):
    Screenshot (418).png
Radstorm (gives a burst of radiation, resets Anomalous Zone safe paths):
    Screenshot (421).png
  16. @cthulhusquid For a storm you would need to change the chimney smoke graphic. It couldn't possibly still go straight up the way it does when the weather is normal.
  17. @cthulhusquid Very cool. I like details like this. Just a quick question. I have a hard time seeing details in the screenshots so I expand them if I can. When I did that with all 5, the Sandstorm and Heatwave looked quite blurry.

Is that an affect of the weather or maybe just how the screenshot is taken?

I am curious if those 2 effects make the actual visuals blurry in the game.

    Very nice though.
  18. @ZombieKidzRule There is a small blur effect with those two weathers, yes so the game is a bit blurry outside when either of those are in effect.
  19. Wow there's a lotta cool things here, I'll share something too! Hopefully the stuff I post works and there's nothing broken!

One may think, what's with the green?
This game is a sequel to another that used just red, black and white as its colour scheme. This game, I'm extending it to include green, yellow, blue and grey. For the battle screen though I'll probably change the green to grey as I didn't realise how little green there was!

Warning for the screenshot below; its a bit icky! Its themed around disease.
I'm not too good at making maps, so I'm utilising a plugin that has random generation! Its a fun to balance obstacles, decorations, accessibility and aesthetic :)

  20. @Halloween-Jester I definitely like the looks of the art and overall appearance of the first screenshot. Very nice.
