  1. It's so good to receive feedbacks, thanks @Aesica ! That has been added in to-do list =D
@SomaelCK that's vines =D overgrowing vines! Btw i like your map, look awesome
  2. @VeryXInh I have to agree with @Aesica it looks bit flat. also it's rather monotome due to the pretty much two-color tone and even shading. Personally i would try to break that up a bit with more difference in shading or greens.
  3. Thanks @Finnuval, yeppp it was too green. =D I fixed it by reducing screen tint

I actually did a thing! (Well, I do things but I did a thing that I think looks good enough to share this time. X3 )
Any thoughts on the town entrance pop-up?
  5. @Ksi that is a good idea. I like it
  6. @Ksi The town popup is a little odd, I don't think I've seen anything like that before. What's the purpose of it?
  7. To give a little info about the town before you head in (like what services there are and a general blurb, see some of the main NPCS to look out for) and give you the option of not going in instead of forcing you to.

It's not exactly a new idea - a ton of games have it.
  8. @Ksi i like the pop up Idea however visually i think its a little to intrusive as is. Perhaps if it was a bit smaller of perhaps horizontal it would be more visually pleasing

Then again that's Just me and my singular opinnion :D
  9. @Ksi I like it as it is. My only thought is there isn't much room to write extra information about the place, but if you have other options to select the "item" and "smithy" tabs, which it looks like you do, I suppose it'd be possible to get a little more room for text, and I suppose for areas too much text wouldn't be good either, so better a little than a lot.
  10. Hm. I could probably put the Item/Smithy/Inn below the choice options and add another line of text. The idea is that it just shows you what is in the town not be an actual town menu. It's in the vein of some old-style games that would show pop-ups like that before you go into the town and give you the choice of going in or not.
  11. @Ksi I personally love it. It looks great.
  12. Figured I would toss this out here. Have been playing with the idea of the player being able to scry upcoming key quest areas through a crystal ball.

  13. @Zyphli I like the idea there. Visually it could benefit from some misty overlay or something though, imo
  14. @Finnuval I think you are right. My thought was leaving the middle open for the cutscenes, but just throwing an quick pattern over it in GIMP did look better. Thanks.
  15. Horizontal bridge map.

    Spoiler
    Untitled.png

I'll probably do a bit more work on the middle level tree placement, but honestly I don't really want to add more stuff like holes/darker tile placements to the green grass, I think it looks more pleasing to the eye when it's this kind of "pristine." Also, because I want to provide a functional horizontal bridge example in RPG Maker that I had the hardest time finding one my self when looking for samples on how to make it work visually lol. Coming up with how to make the bridge tiles work visually was very difficult for me.
  16. @Zyphli glad I could help :)
  17. I'd suggest removing the bridge supports completely as they make the depth weird. Then use the shadowpen to paint under the bridge to give more height. Also, a path of some kind leading up to and from the bridge would be a good idea since someone went to the trouble of making a stone bridge, that would mean it likely gets used often.

    Example:

If you want to use the supports, edit them to make them two tiles high so they at least touch the ground/water.
  18. @SOC I agree with @Ksi especially on the points of shadow and a road. If you insist on keeping the pillars though I suggest moving them away from the edge and moving them 1 tile towards the centre

Somebody call the cops - this dog is a maniac.
  20. A screenshot of my small dungeon crawler game, planning to release it on both windows and mobile.
