Added SV actor templates to work alongside my blank zombie template.
These *can* be configured to work in the generator, but the optimal way to use them is to manually add clothing using image editing software, then copy/paste the red blood splatter pixels from the base onto a new layer on top of the clothing.
Have you wanted to use my work, but been discouraged by the lack of down/damaged sprites? Never fear! Damaged sprites are here! The first column has the damage sprites for my monster templates (plus the VXA orc I made using those templates), and the second column has damaged sprites for some of my edits/frankens. There are still more I'll add at a later date.
I am trying to produce some SV sprites for the monster races, and I'm also working on a top secret project that will please the RTP completionists who want to fill in the gaps of the RTP. Keep an eye out!
Want to build an orc army for your heroes to battle? Or do you want to BE an orc? Now you can! This template will allow you to make SV battlers for orcs, male and female.
Yes, it can be configured to work in the generator along with the walking and down sprites I've already added. This is something I'll do eventually, after all of my enemy race templates are complete and I can release them together.
Love, love, love these sprite bases. Overall, have to give you major props for making a strong focus on non-human bases and sprites. Will definitely add tons of variety and character into the MV resource library. Awesome work.
I can only select tiny portions of the spider sprite. When I say tiny portions, I mean I can only select the spider's leg, not the whole spider. Any way to fix this?
EDIT: Nevermind! Turns out I just had to resize then export it!
I really really REALLY want the fairies that are battle sprite ready and everything! Always wanted to make a fairy game and these are the last thing that I am missing for making my game. Well everything is coming along all I want are the sprites throw everything together and BOOM. Looks like I'll be waiting a while though :)
Whew, long time no update! I'm a few semesters away from finishing grad school so my schedule has been crazy busy. I've got two weeks off though, so I figured I'd crank out a few new sprites. This guy here was a ton of work, and it's only my second time making a sprite 100% on my own without franken'ing the RTP!
Let me know what you think! And keep an eye out for the next Restaff release because I've got a couple of exciting long-awaited releases in there!
Added a fully nude skeleton to match AlephNull's SV battler. Use in conjunction with Avery's skeleton face for a fully playable skeleton character! (Be sure to follow all terms of the other artists!)
Two of my long awaited elemental spirit characters were just released in the latest Restaff, so please be sure to check it out! There's lots of good stuff in there from other artists, including elemental facesets by Avery and elemental battlers by Thalzon.
@sateda, I'll create and post the damage sprites one of these days. I'm waiting on another artist to make the SV battler template, but even after I get the template it'll take a long time to complete. You're better off using the non-animated RTP battlers for now.
New update: In the RTP, the two cave waterfalls (on the left) have some distortions along the edges so they don't blend nicely into the cave wall. This Cave Waterfall Fix erases the distortions to make caves look better.
Here's a side-by-side comparison of the fix. It's not very noticeable (zoom in) but it makes a huge difference in-game.
Also note that some manual edits may be required where the FacialMark doesn't cover the human body completely!
Aside from manual edits, there are several ways to work around this but they all require messing with the Generator folder default files in various ways. The easiest is probably to temporarily rename the default base body so it doesn't show up at all, then change the name back when you're finished making characters.
