@slimmmeiske2 @fizzly So glad you like the grass texture, because for countdown 7 I have something that adds more uses to the grass (and other) textures. Cliffs!
I long wanted to have another go at better cliffs for MZ. Can you guess where I got the base from? It's somewhere in the rtp. This is one of the things that draws me into making edits. Just pick something from the rtp and see the potential to transform it into a totally new thing.

These are purely A5 tiles since I feel they give you more space to make them curvy. And more control placing the cliffs.
I also added an inside version to make caves with it and as an extra cliffs without floor texture, so you can add your own.
A special shoutout to @Kes who helped me when I couldn't decide how to make the top of the cliff look. And not to mention @Avery whose cliff tutorials were really helpful in giving me some ideas on how to tackle this.
Since I did so many recolors of the A2 textures, you get a lot of combos. Just assemble an A5 sheet with your preferred combinations.

  2. I love me some curvy cliffs.
  3. So excited to see what tomorrow brings... I snatched up all the Scarlendar resources so far!
  4. Those cliffs are looking great :3 I haven't opened MZ in a bit, but are those from the rocks in the RTP (or am I completely bugging)?
  5. Absolutely stunning! These should be default in MZ tilesets....really, I like those cliffs so much!
  6. These have turned out really well. Congrats and thanks for all your work.
  7. Oh, nice! I wonder how you'll do the water next.

Thank you all so much for your nice feedback! It is much appreciated.
@slimmmeiske2 Actually the cliff origin is from a column in the dungeon_C tilesheet.
@ErinPrimette I plan to do some A1 water tiles that fit the new grass and the cliffs, but it will not be in this countdown since I didn't have the time for it.

For countdown 6 I have flags and fences! Okay, I don't know why I put those two together, I just like making fences. The flags are as modular as I could do them in the time I had. Originally I just planned to re-do the flags I had made as VX Ace edits, but soon it expanded into more forms and symbols.
If you have MV as well, I would check out @WaywardMartian 's modular banners:
Wayward's MV Resources (Battlers/Sprites/Tiles) (update 211016: Generator Piece: Hijab) Some of their symbols fit onto my flags as well.

  9. These are so amazing that I'm grabbing them as they come out! I absolutely must include these in a game!

    @LunarFlareStudios Thank you so much!
For this countdown I re-made the palisades I did for VX Ace and added some extras. I know they can be a bit complicated to map with, so I made a quick screenshot to show some of it.
I think, palisades can be useful not only for a military base, but also for villages that need some extra protection.
As always a lot of recolors and variations.

    @fizzly Thank you!
Today I have a little more re-works from my VX Ace tiles, specifically tiles from the orc/military tilesheet I did for VX Ace. So, of course I remade the flags for the orcs, too. And some parts for an orc camp (or bandits, cultist, whathaveyou).
Now with some parts it is a careful consideration between what I want to do and what time/energy I have for it. During VX Ace times I not only did edits, but also more from scratch. With MV and now MZ I hesitate doing that because it costs way more time and I still have plans to one day make my own dlc.

But I reaaaally wanted to do some furs. I thought I would have to forgo that plan since I couldn't find any pieces in the rtp to use as a stepping stone. Until I found an unlikely source in one of the SF outside trees.
It is not perfect, but sometimes you have to do compromises with edits.
As an extra the MZ tent, but without the red top.

  13. I'll make a map with your Scarlendar stuff once you are done. Thanks a lot for your work.
  14. These are excellent. The palisade is particularly useful as it is so versatile.
    Thank you.

@Dalph Oh, I'm looking forward to it. I always love it when someone uses my resources.
@Kes Thanks, yes, I think, the palisade can be used for a number of things.

Today I have some add-ons for the cliffs I made, including front slopes, bridges and cave entrances. And a fence that will work with the cliff curves, but of course you can use it for other purposes, too.
I plan to do some more cliff add ons in the future when I find the time.
The forward slope could be either used as a A5 or on a B/C tilesheet, just paste in the one combo you need for your map. When I get the time, I will probably make a sideview slope, too.

  16. You are a gem. Rounded fencing is virtually non-existant, but you've now filled the gap.
    Thank you.
  17. Can't believe I missed all this pure gold. I absolutely love the rope bridge! I've been needing one for a while, actually.
  18. Wow love those fences!
  19. You're literally taking hostile environments to the next level with these last few posts, holy crap thank you!! :kaocry:
  20. Have loved your stuff since Ace, and a Halloween calendar is so fun - thanks for doing it! Love everything so far, and in particular, the fences on the rounded cliffs look very good!
