@dnel57,
Thanks for the compliment :D! I can safely say I don't work for Squaresoft, though I can imagine the Final Fantasy inspirations are quite obvious here. I do like the idea for a max level of 10 with minimum gains so it doesn't encroach on the idea of the game in being non linear but gives players an option to grind if they want to. It would require a major overhaul as in the past I had used levels to manage skills when changing classes. The main issue would be time and testing for fair xp gains across encounters too but it's definitely something I'll consider or work on in the background.
Just out of curiosity, have you come across the Dark Mirror? It's a bit tucked away in the Spellsword Dungeon so I wouldn't be surprised if people didn't come across it early on. Currently it gives you the ability to rematch old bosses in exchange for shards that can be spent to boost your stats. Early game now I think about it could be quite repetitive as there won't be many bosses to choose from and rewards are a bit grindy.
I'm planning a few improvements for the area including getting a quest early on to hint at it's existence so with some enemy variety there do you think players would be happy with this change instead?

Thanks for letting me know, that's a bit of a relief but apologies for the crashes nonetheless.
I'm glad you're enjoying the game, thanks and have a Merry Christmas yourself! -

Haven't found that yet (spellsword). Not sure where that particular area is.
Still places to go.
I know that, although it is non-linear, the are items needed to clear the way to different areas, which almost amounts to levels in a way.
I will keep plodding along and would have no problem starting from the beginning when the final fixes are in.
Enjoy your Holiday. After some reading, I have been there as soon as I got the shovel. Just haven't finished it. -
I need help with 2 quest:
I have to find the lich for the hunter quest and I don't know how to open the door for the spirit of the sea -
@Gianmher,
No probs, Lich is a bomb cave just on the outskirts of elfheim.
Which door? If you go back to aquaria through the hermits cave a new cave should be there along the way.
Happy hunting! -
Holy Moly, I've FINALLY 100% your game as far as I know, and yes that does mean I've defeated your final final FINAL boss. Although I did cheesed the hell out of that boss by grinding out the Dark Mirror till I had 999 on every stat and 9,999 health. Either way, I loved the game and every aspect and mechanic of it. If you were to make another rpg game I would play it start to finish just like this one. Love your work, keep doing what you're doing.

I've reached Darkholme not from the jacob's route and in the dark mirror jacob was available even if I didn't beat him; is this a bug or not?
Another thing: the quest "an uneasy feeling"...I don't know what I have to do -
@Gianmher,
It isn't a bug but due to sequencing I'll likely change it as it doesn't make a ton of sense...
It's a bit of an extra super boss I've thrown in as a bit of a challenge (An Uneasy Feeling). There's a grave in the woodland plains east of Galadria. There should now be access to a room below. Also congrats on beating the game! -
@BillyBobJones,
Glad you enjoyed the game. That's fantastic that you enjoyed it enough to try it all out, thanks for playing!
It's always nice reading feedback and it's a great motivator too, so thanks also for stopping by and letting me know how you got on. :D -
where find 14 hunter skill?
-
Thanks for the help. I had a try with that buddy in the grave. It seems that I have a looong training to do.
Also, I have another bug for you:
After I had encounter Fear, every time that I face a enemy everywhere, will be play the Fear's music battle. Can you check out, please? It's very annoying X( -
@sergio150489,
There should be a notepad file along with the game to let you know which monsters have the skills.
Once you obtain a Hunter contract you can use the 'observe' skill on those enemies and learn it yourself. Hope that helps. -
@Gianmher,
Ah thanks for letting me know, I'll fix that for next update. Sorry about that, that does sound annoying tbh. -
Hats off to Billy Bob. I guess I'll have to roll up my sleeves and quit whining.
-
Thanks for the help. where find mist fiend?
-
@dnel57
I wouldn't call it whining tbh. Your opinion is perfectly valid too. Hearing different opinions helps give me an idea of what people expect from the game and where I can improve too. -
@sergio150489,
No probs, happy to help. Mist fiend is in the south-east corner of the map, you'll need the Ocarina to reach it which can be obtained in the Dark Woods to the east portion of the map. -
I am in the bandit mine - please will someone tell me where the pickaxe is please.
in the dwarf mine further along, where are the tools in there please.
I am so confused and have been stuck for so long now. Playing the knight character first. -

The pickaxe was originally in the bandit mine but is now in the dwarven mine in a room which is blocked until after the prologue. This is mainly as the pickaxe opens up a few areas which could allow sequence breaking for some story sections.
Apologies for any confusion. -
So does this mean I cannot break any rocks or dig up anything while in the STORY game?
