This week's update has Lailah, Kushiel, Aerico, Urmahlullu, and Remiel.
Lailah is an angel from Jewish mythology, whose name means "night." She is one of the few angels that is distinctly female, and governs conception, acting as an angelic midwife to birthing women.
Kushiel, like Hutriel from the last update, is one of the punishing angels. He wields a whip of flame and resides either in Hell, or in the "third heaven."
Aerico is a demon from Greek mythology whose power is to spread disease and illness. His specialty tends to be plagues.
Urmahlullu is a lion centaur from Mesopotamian mythology. He defended bathrooms from the demons Mukil res lemutti (winged lion that caused chronic pains) and Sulak (lion that causes strokes). A very specific duty for such a cool creature.
Remiel is an observer angel, a caregiver and adorer of humanity. His presence is said to sound like distant thunder, and naturally his power is that of the storm. His name means "Compassion of God."

This week, we have Hadraniel, Zadkiel, Agathodaemon, Munkar, Nakir, and Furi.
Hadraniel is an angel from Jewish mythology, who guards the second gate of Heaven. He is said to be massive in size (60 leagues wide). He acted as a guide to Moses, who travelled to Heaven to acquire the Torah.
Zadkiel is an angel from Jewish and Christian mythology. He represents mercy and forgiveness. When Abraham was to sacrifice his son Isaac to god, Zadkiel stopped him and told him his faith was true.
Agathodaemon is a somewhat unique lesser god (ie daemon) that originates as a household protector in both Greek and Egyptian mythology. In Greece he was often depicted as a man, but in Alexandria, he was abundantly depicted as a snake. Thanks was often given to him after a meal.
Munkar and Nakir are angels from Islamic folklore. They offer tests of faith to the dead as they lie in their graves to determine where their souls will spend eternity.
Furi are weasel-like creatures found in the mountains of China. They are extremely fast, an invulnerability to fire, and even if killed, they can be revived by the wind blowing into their open mouth.

This week, we have Agni, Sariel, Antaeus, Puloman, Aatxe, and Hamsa.
Agni is the Hindu god of fire, and one of the five personified elements (along with water, wind, earth, and sky). He is the messenger between the earth and the heavens as he can exist in three states: fire on earth, lightning in the sky, and the sun in the heavens.
Sariel is one of seven primordial powers who keeps watch over spirits in Judaism. He is one of the four angels mentioned in the War Scroll of the Dead Sea Scrolls, alongside Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, whose named should be inscribed on shields of your soldiers to offer their divine protection.
Antaeus is a son of Poseidon and Gaia, and was a king who dwelt in the Libyan deserts. He wrestled Heracles as part of his twelve labours, being the eleventh. He would in fact, challenge anyone who passed by to wrestling, as he was invincible so long as he remained in contact with the earth. These matches weren't for fun, either -- he built a temple out of the skulls of those he defeated. Yeowch.
Puloman is a rakshasa, father of Shachi, making him Indra's father-in-law. He met his end when he abducted Puloma, who was so frightened by the events she immediately gave birth to Chyavana, who shone like the sun. So intense was his light that Puloman was turned to ashes in an instant.
Aatxe is a Basque spirit said to be an incarnation of the goddess Mari, or perhaps an enforcer of her will. He appears from his cave in stormy weather to punish the wicked and protect the innocent.
Finally, Hamsa is a mystical bird from many southeast Asian cultures that can be a swan, goose, or flamingo. It has the ability to extract milk from milk/water mixtures, which is a specific power if ever there was one. It acts as the holy mount of Brahma, Gayatri, Sarasvati, and Vishvakarma.

This week's monsters are Jehoel, Chol, Yomiel, Eiael, and Israfil.
Jehoel is an angel from the Apocalypse of Abraham, charged with restraining the Leviathan and destroying idol worshippers. Jewish texts indicate Jehoel is another name given to Metatron, the voice of Yahweh.
Chol is the name given to the Phoenix in the Bible, but the name can also be interpreted as "sand".
Yomiel is a Watcher, a fallen angel keeping an eye on things on Earth. Yomiel's reasons for falling differs depending on the interpretation, as there are few mentions of them in texts.
Eiael is one of the 72 Kabbalistic angels, ruling over the Goetic demon Amdusias. They preside over high scientific knowledge, but also occult rituals. Those born under Eiael's protection are wise and handle adversity well.
Israfil is one of the four archangels named in Islam, alongside Michael, Gabriel, and Azrael. Israfil's duty is to blow the trumpet that announces the Day of Resurrection and commencement of the Last Judgment.

This week's update includes Zaphkiel, Cassiel, Bumblebee, Chalkydri, Victor, and Camael.
Zaphkiel is the chief ruler of the Ophanim, and one of the seven Archangels who rule Heaven. He is apparently also the ruler of the Erelim angelic order. Busy guy.
He's also associated with our next angel, Cassiel. Cassiel is an angel invoked to determine if your foe is fleeing, and is a brutal soldier who strikes down anyone not fit to see God. Here, however, he is a creepy baby head with six eyes.
Bumblebees were often believed to be holy messengers, reincarnations of humans, and saviors of the gods. Zeus, in one text, was even saved by bees as a child.
Chalkydri are draconic beings that dwell in the Fourth Heaven. They have lion-like and crocodile-like features, and pull the sun's chariot across the sky. It is also the apparent inspiration for the Nehushtan, an idol constructed by Moses to defend the Israelites from fiery serpents and disease.
Victor is an angel that appeared to Saint Patrick, prompting him to begin his mission. One source suggests that this mysterious angel was actually Bishop Victricius, who existed at the same time as Saint Patrick.
Camael is the leader of the Powers, the fourth order of angels. He represents justice, war, and love.

This week we have all angels: Pahaliah, Barachiel, Raziel, Aladiah (and its ringlet minions), and Ananiel.
Pahaliah is a guardian angel of redemption, and one of the Thrones.
Barachiel is an archangel with many associations, and commands the power of blessings, primarily that of childbirth. He is said to rule over Jupiter and the constellation Pisces.
Raziel is the keeper of all magic, and the angel of mysteries. He bestowed on Adam the Sefer Raziel, a tome containing the divine secrets of the universe.
Aladiah is of the Cherubim choir, and one of the 72 Kabbalistic angels. Those born under her influence enjoy good health, fortune, and influence.
Ananiel is one of the Watchers, fallen angels descended from Heaven. He guards the gates of the south wind, which bring moisture and life with them, and was petitioned by God to protect all the world's trees, plants, rain, and heat.

This week we have Metatron, Sandalphon, Mizuchi, Ashvins, Lorelei, and Vidofnir.
Metatron is a notable angel in Abrahamic religions, as he is the mediator between humanity and Yahweh. He is often called the Voice of God. He is of the Archangel order, which is a rather low order of angels. But considering the unconventional designs often seen in higher orders, perhaps it makes sense to choose a more humanoid angel to be mediator.
Sandalphon is another archangel, whose job is to deliver prayers and praise to Yahweh. Notably, he is referred to as Metatron's "co-brother", a rare instance of angels having siblings in a conventional sense.
Mizuchi is a Japanese water dragon, usually found in or representing a body of water. Won't lie, I pretty much aped Shin Megami Tensei's design for him here.
The Ashvins (singular: Ashvini) are twin deities born to Surya, the sun god, and his wife Sangya. They are "horsemen" in the sense that they are pulled everywhere by a horse-drawn chariot, but just as often depicted with horse heads due to their strong connection with horses. They are associated with the dawn, science, and medicine.
Lorelei is from Germany, and dwells on the Rhine river specifically. Her beauty and sublime song lure men to crash their ships on the rocks where she dwells, making her a classic Siren.
Vidofnir is a rooster sitting atop the tree Mimameith in Norse mythology, and is associated with light and fire, his feathers shining like a thunderstorm. He is strikingly similar in function to Vedrfolnir, in that he is associated with a much larger bird (Hraesvelgr for Vidofnir, an unnamed eagle for Vedrfolnir), and sits atop a tree keeping watch on humanity. That is, except for their size; Vedrfolnir is notably tiny.

This week's update includes Uraeus, Yig, Vasuki, Apsaras, and Kanedama.
Uraeus is the sacred serpent that adorns the headresses of many Egyptian deities and ancient rulers. Its hieroglyph was also used to depict the location of graves and burial sites.
Yig is a snake deity from the Cthulhu Mythos of H.P. Lovecraft. Based on benevolent snake deities like Quetzalcoatl, Yig is an elder deity who is, at worst, indifferent to humanity, but treats well those who respect him and his progeny of snakes. In the wild and weird family tree that is the Cthulhu Mythos, Cthulhu is actually Yig's nephew.
Vasuki is the king of nagas in Hindu mythology. He is often depicted coiled around the neck of Shiva, and one of the tales he is heavily involved in is Janamejaya's prosecution of the nagas.
Apsaras are celestial dancers and water nymphs who reside in Indra's paradise. They dance and perform for the entertainment of the gods.
And finally, Kanedama is a Japanese yokai that delivers coin and fortune to the pure and noble of heart. It hates lies and deceit, and, if betrayed, will not only cease to aid the former beneficiary, but also conspire to bring about misfortune.

Kanedama sort of reminds me of a maneki neko. Were they in any way related, like the maneki neko being an idol to the kanedama?

Maneki Neko was definitely the inspiration (read: direct ripping off) for the design.
