    "Do you really think a hero who slept for centuries will help you?"

    In the age of mythology, it is said that the world of Zeal was tainted by an evil so profound, that the Sun itself refused to rise.  All mortal kind was consigned to its miserable fate, whilst the forces of evil murdered, raped and plundered.

                However there was one who could not be subjugated.  One who would not permit evil to reign supreme.  Some say that he was an angel, or perhaps a god; others believe that he was simply a man with an unbreakable will.  Regardless of one's perception of who or what he was, the hero sallied forth and annihilated the forces of evil and rekindled the flame of courage within all mortal kind.        In doing so, the hero gave the Sun reason to rise once more; and evil was purged forevermore.  With his task completed, the hero went into a deep slumber and would awaken again, should the darkness return.

                Ages pass as civilizations rise and fall.  Now we awaken to the future that the hero bought with his sweat and blood.  Is this truly what the hero desired?  A global government that holds tight to its laws and people, keeping a firm grasp upon all who live in the lands.  And a climate that is sucking the life-force from the land and its people?  If one awoke the hero from his age long sleep, would he be pleased?  Would he fight to protect the world once more?  Or would he simply stand idle as the world slowly withers away to nothing?

                Skyview, a town of the future... here lies the peace the hero brought. Leaves blow past the trees through the mountains, whilst the waves whisper the secrets from across the sea. Smoke rises and falls from the Governor's citadel; he is charged with the protection of his people, but some would say he falls short of that duty...to put it lightly.

                Here, three orphans live. Each of them with a story of their own and secrets to behold. Society has all but failed these children; all they will ever have is each other. That is until their small world crashes down upon them and their childhoods end on a night of tears. Leading them on a pilgrimage to find the hero, they meet various characters from all around the world. Each of them has a story to tell and goals of their own.

                Play through the World of Zeal, with hidden secrets abound. A rich history to be told through the lands await, an ancient lord of despair, to ancient ruins of the world that existed during the hero's time. Fight unique bosses: each having their own battle style/tactic in battle. Take advantage of their weaknesses and smite forward in your quest to glory.

    Spoiler
    Zeal was given its name after the heroes departure thousands of years ago. Zeal is a name that means, peace a fitting name for the age, however  the people of Zeal have seen the up-rise of monsters caused by the despair in the world. The Zeldons were founded to protect the villages from said creatures, they do so by giving each town or city an region with an assigned leader.

    People of this world celebrate the heroes birth and worship his mother and father. They are tied to a strict schedule, work all week and worship on Sunday. The Zeldons will not show mercy to those who do not follow the schedule. People here are raised to love their protectors and to obey their religion and law.

    Zeal is not without its strays, some strayed cultures include the followers of Altemera. A great bird that resembles freedom, another group would be the elves in the winter regions. They do not believe in any god only life.

    Spoiler
    This game is a traditional RPG. With its own twist, the kick starter of this idea was based around the thought, is there really a villain or a hero? Or is it purely up to the player, so yes there will be questionable acts of the "hero" and "villain" not without justification from both.

    This game features a in depth story with characters who have a story. Each character has their own tale to tell and their own reason for helping you throughout your journey. You will encounter interesting characters within the villages, they don't just say "Hello".
    Twelve Main Characters possible to join the party, with their own unique stories to tell. They all live on the same world their actions will collide and effect one another.

    Three different endings with different characters at the end!

    We will post some small updates above!

    And please support us with our banner. Thank you!
  2. If you are looking for the demo, it is no longer available. As the game has gone through vast changes.
  3. Errors have been fixed and the demo should be flawless. Save early save often. We tried our best to find all of the bugs.
  4. snip
  5. the portrait of the third actor on the 2nd to the last screenie doesn't really fit with the others...
  6. Also the character list the last one doesn't fit either, it would be best to just stick with one or two closely similar character art style than having many others.

    But besides that, mapping looks nice.
  7. I know... I have to get a matching style for the fourth guy. Thanks!
  8.  I got a matching faces for all of the main characters. So thats one less eyesore for you all!
  9. Agree about the characters. Otherwise looks nice.
  10. Thanks! As for the faces If you are talking about, Fullmin... he's been updated. Dubay is supposed to look like that. He is in the same style as well. Other NPC's and main characters within the game will be updated.

  14. Is this a commercial or non-commercial game?

    Edit-Demo is 380mb? are you kidding me. Trim the fat on your demo and make a dl without RTP also.

    Wanted try it out but not at that size.
  15. Alot of trimming was done, but I will trim it more. I think the RTP is still included. That was done due to an issue that I fixed. I will update it. Non commercial.

  16. The Good

    Seems pretty interesting, I played the demo a little out of curiosity and using MOGhunter is always a nice script to use when making a game for I too am using Moghunter with a few other alterations to the scripts, I am looking forward to how this game will turn out when you have full put effort into this.

    The Bad

    Nothing serious but there are a few things that really bothered me while watching the demo and playing the demo. 1stly, Clarence voice definitely does not go well with K's Voice that is implemented in there, I laughed so hard when I heard K's mature voice in a young dude so thanks for the laughs, also the dialogues need to be re-looked at, I saw a lot of spelling errors which are easily mistake if you are not native to English, for example:

    Alright = Allright

    Gauge = Gage

    Sec = Seck

    Quite = Quiet

    Ect ect

    These are just small but nevertheless this seems to be going slightly well, looking forward to the end result.
  17. Yes the voices... they may just not be there in the end. The spelling mistakes are stupid, and I know I have quite a few. At least their subtle, yet notable. I have alot to sort through, in that aspect. I'll have to comb through it before I continue on to the next sequence in events. I hope the events in the demo made enough sense. I think they do.
  18. snip
  19. Okay, second playthrough.

    -Would try to find a way to shorten the wall of text scrolling in the intro. Maybe use a shortened version in the intro, then have the full version in a library or something as an optional read.

    -I'm a "Dual Swoedsman"?

    -Why does the BGSFX sound like I'm on a ship?

    -I can't enter the door to the backyard unless I unlock the ladder to the attic. Doing so also removes the table next to my bed.

    -Why can I examine objects without facing them? You should place examine events on top of the objects themselves, not next to / in front of them.

    -Some map transfer tiles lack the sparkle graphics.

    -The teacher shouldn't allow me to leave the classroom after he tells me to go to my seat.

    -That rain sound is too loud.

    -The weird guy with the beard still just joins my party and the main character doesn't even care?

    -But at least there's a decent combat tutorial now.

    -Thunder Weapon adds Ice Elemental to weapon?

    -Fire 4 mana. "Fire-elemental attack. Blast 8 mana. "Fire-elemental attack." Well, what's the difference other than the mana cost?

    -Lol, WTF. I got my ass kicked on the first random encounter by mass confusion spam. Nearly had a party wipe against 4 enemies.

    -Funny, just faced the same group of enemies and they were really easy this time...

    -Why do we want to visit the Chapel of Light first when we were going to search in the cave for that lady?

    -The map is titled Church of Light, instead of Chapel.

    -I can walk over the cabinets and kitchen sink and stuff in the church.

    -Game crashed on bat encounter in the cave. "Script 'Cache' line 106: RGSError occurred. failed to create bitmap"

    I see some improvements. It's easier to find the transfer tiles now, I believe the sparkles weren't there in the older version. There's a combat tutorial. Characters have skills to use. No more overworld map.

    But I still can't agree with how the bearded guy smashes his way into my house, and then joins my party without any sort of explanation. It's so... weird. I don't understand why the main character just doesn't care that there's a stranger entering his house without permission. Why does he assume the guy is totally OK to have around him?

    The other thing that bothered me was when the party had already figured out to search in the crystal cave, but when we get there the main guy says he wants to go to the Chapel of Light. For no reason whatsoever. And no one in the party questions him.

    Not sure if I would suggest doing something about the early enemies. Just the fact my party got nearly wiped on the first non-tutorial encounter simply because it got confused spammed seems kinda unfair. But maybe I was just extremely unlucky, as the second time I fought the same group they went down relatively easy.

    The mapping outside of the main town and interiors is still pretty bad. It would help to look up some tutorials on how to properly map a forest and mountain area.

    An option to auto-sprint would be appreciated. I know there's a script for that, it shouldn't be too hard to find.

    And still so many typos, it's not even funny. But I guess there's not much you can do about that if you work on it alone.
  20. Thanks for the playthrough, and what's the missing or out of place sound?
