VX - Tales of the Drunken Paladin: Version IV! (2025)

I just want to say that this is one of the greatest RPG Maker games I've ever played, and it is actually part of the reason why I made my IB game; tons of inspiration. DP, you have alot of talent and I can't express how much I appreciate the effort that went into this. I don't think I was ever bored for a second playing this.

Update: Pretty funny so far. Very detailed, I love the fact that he has something to say about almost everything in the game, so many game devs don't even take the time to do that, nice job.

Great game! Just got into it and couldn't put it down for at least an hour. Very entertaining story and the humorous dialogue kept me going. Keep it up!

Man, nobody can keep up with you and your changes. All joking aside, it's great to see you've taken this game as far as it can probably go, and best of luck in your kickstarter endeavors.

I love the scenario, it's exactly the kind of stuff I particularly dig. Long time a project introduction didn't make me want it to play like yours. And by reading the comments, seems like I won't be disappointed :) .

Is it the final version or is the scenario still "unfinished"?

I hope to find some story of green eyed girl inside this due to the title of one of your "chapters" :p

Hola, amigos. Long time no see!

Just dropping by to say that Tales of the Drunken Paladin has received its first patch in nearly six months today. This patch adds some new content to the endgame, changes a little bit to the midgame, and fixes some bugs found in the allgame. I probably said once or twice that I wouldn't be patching the game anymore, and I'm a big lying liar who lies, because I can't sleep at night knowing there's a loose end somewhere.

Also, if you're a fan of Anebriate and a fan of Skyrim, there may be a little something special coming real soon-like just for you. If you want to know more, I might even know of a place to check.

HEY! COUPLA' THINGS:

Tales of the Drunken Paladin has received some pretty extensive rewrites/edits lately. Basically, when I started this game (I want to say '08? Whenever RPG Maker VX came out plus a month or so), I was just winging it. That's what we all have to do when we pick something up for the first time and start going to town--just winging it, emulating what we like, trying to learn the tools of the trade. And that's great! But revision is critical, and I'm finally getting around to making some much-needed revisions (although this isn't the first batch of revisions by any means).

So if you played it a long time ago and couldn't get into it, I definitely encourage you to try it again. Conversely, if you played it a long time ago and LOVED IT, it's a whole lot better now, so I'd wear a helmet when you fire it up just to be safe.

If you've NEVER played it, then I think it's just about damn time you do so.

Other Cool News:

- "Ohnovahkiin," the Tales of the Drunken Paladin Skyrim follower mod has gone live and is accessible both from the Steam Workshop and Nexus.

- I'll be working with Hootey again to do a full Tales of the Drunken Paladin web series (and live stream) very soon. I'll try to get around everywhere and post some notifications before it happens (it seems like this is the only RPG Maker forum that is still regularly attended?), but the best way to stay up to date on that stuff is to check out the Facebook page or my web site.

- We have this REALLY thorough walkthrough that contains like 99% of the content (even the secret, hidden stuff) in Tales of the Drunken Paladin. The other 1% is just because I like secrets too much to spoil them myself.

Possibly one of the best RM games, I really loved the humour and the characters, I should replay it soon (since I lost my savegame).

Hey everyone, just stopping by to provide a link to a live stream of the game that's going to be happening every Saturday night from now on (until TDP is totally cleared).
