I'm trying to catch up with Christmas... please Christmas, wait, wait!
More ways to find things that don't involve chests...
it occurs to me that there should be a reverse version of this, where there's some indicator of what color the eyes should be and then you put those gems into the mouth to fill the eyes. will add that to the list!
today @Avery posted a whole Egyptian tileset and by sheer coincidence, I happened to have an odd piece that I'd been playing around with that might fit the theme...
I don't know which approach I like better: activating the statues by finding/placing the gems or appeasing the statues and being rewarded with gems spat out at you. <3 Either way, they're certainly darn pretty and useful. Thank you.

Yeah i like both ideas... or even both together -- remove them from one place, pop them into another -- a lot of times i think about how tiles could be used for a puzzle or interactive scene, and i've just gotten stuck on this particular version over the last few days
Oh whoa! I am loving the work you did on the boats. The living mountain mouth? -total creep vibes. And I love the rocky portal door you did. I've been needing something similar for my game and that just gives me inspiration. I do not own MZ but great work here all the same. :)
They say the devil is in the details.. and I love love love that wood stove!! Thank you for the fun advent and have a Happy Xmas and a Merry New Year!! :)
Thanks Kes! I'll have a few other little things over the next few days. Maybe next year I'll be able to do an actual calendar again... Thanks for all the kind words along the way and Merry Christmas!
