  1. Character Creator
    by SumRndmDde
    Version 1.00

    [embedded media]

    What This Plugin Does:

Essentially, this plugin adds an in-game character generator.

It allows players to create a character by selecting various pieces from various categories and they can be assigned to certain Actors to be used as Face Images, Walking Characters, Dead Characters, and Side-View Battlers.

    Installing Necessary Files:

First, download the Character Pieces here.
This will be a ZIP file containing a folder called "character-creator".
Create a folder called "SumRndmDde" within your img directory if one does not already exist, and place the "character-creator" folder in there.

The entire directory should look like:
    /img/SumRndmDde/character-creator/[all files for character creator]

Watch the video for a more clear installation process.

    Basic Setup:

    First, install the plugin.
Then simply use the following Plugin Command:

    OpenCharacterCreator [actor-id]

    Example:
    OpenCharacterCreator 4

When that Plugin Command is run in game, it will bring up the Character Creation screen. The Actor whose ID is placed next to the plugin command will be the one that is customized. Once complete, all of that Actor's images will be overwritten.

    Show Text Stuff:

If you wish to show a Custom Character's face in a Show Text event, use the notetag within the Show Text input:

    <CC Face: [id]>

    Example:
    <CC Face: 10>

ALSO BE SURE TO HAVE A RANDOM FACE PLACED IN THE SHOW TEXT EVENT.
It doesn't matter what face it is, just something to be overwritten to begin with.

    Temporary Disable:

If you wish to disable or enable the sprites made on an Actor from a Custom Character, simply use the Plugin Commands:

    DisableCharacterCreatorImages [actorId]
    EnableCharacterCreatorImages [actorId]

    Change Log:

    Version: 1.00 - 1.05:
Plugin was created, fixed some bugs, also ate a pancake.
(also on an unrelated note, to whoever reads this, how does one make capitalized tags for forum topics? sumrndmdde looks weird without capitals T-T)
  2. Wow man that looks greats, i was looking for something like this a while back but never found one this well done nice
  3. Thanks for bringing your plugin to a topic here! I told you, but on YouTube I had problems when launching the plugin on Android. Has it been fixed on version 0.5? I am not at home right now to test it...

I was having some problems, supposedly with files locations, that the plugin img pieces should be allocated inside the www folder, with the rest of the media.

(And yeah, your nick uncapitalized looks weird)

    Unfortunelly not =\

I still get the ReferenceError require is not defined

I tried as soon as I updated your script, and then I tried disabling all other plugins and deploying

again with only yours turned on, and still the same message.

Thing is, it does not gives the error when we call the plugin scene, instead as soon as I try launching

them game, it does not get to the initial menu screen.
  7. Haven't tried it out yet but thanks for the plugin! Love all your stuff, so all I can say atm is nice nice nice  ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

You have to format them specifically the way I did, but you can add/edit your own pieces if you wish.

All right, give me some time to figure this out. I don't have any way to test this since I don't own any Android devices, but apparently this problem also exists on browsers, so let me give that a try.
  9. Thank you for this latest update! Still didn't test it but it's sure to work now.
I have some questions tough, how should I translate the menu? I can't just go in
changing the names in the plugin manager, it gives me an error.

Also, can I lock the character gender? My main char will be a woman, so can I lock
the creator to this specific gender?

EDIT: Or maybe a way to store character gender in a variable so I can use that in the game?
  10. The new update seems to have broken compatibility with your Dynamic Actors plugin. Tested both out, old one still works after switching back to it.
  11. Oh wow. I just spent a week making a script just like this for a plugin request thread that does this same thing. If I knew about this thread, I would have redirected her to here. I need to frequent this forum more often; I never know what's going on.

Oh well. I'm richer for the experience now.

    Grats on the awesome plugin!
  12. The dropbox link for the generator pieces appears to be 404'd. Unsure if this is on my end. However the gui and layout look very nice and clean. Especially the preview windows of each different graphical asset for the character.

    Yeah, sorry for the inconvenience!
Update the Dynamic Actors plugin and you should be good to go!

    @DamianCastaway
    Link has been fixed! ^^
  14. Awesome news ;D

Though <CC Face: X> appears to be broken.
I did <CC Face: 1> and the actual faceset of the original character appeared instead of the custom character.
  15. Hi Some Random Super Dude !

I've a little thing or two the ask you:
    • Could it be possible to make this plugin compatible with the "blinking" plugin you've made?
    • Also, I'm using HUD system (from either Atelier RGSS or Biud436), which, just like the blinking plugin, require a picture. Could it be possible to "replace" a previous image for the character by a new one?
Thanks a lot, this plugin really cool !
  16. Tried this plugin on my Mac and PC, it worked perfectly on my PC but it won't load the images on my Mac, I'm guessing it may be an issue with the file paths....

Would anyone know how to fix this? Would really appreciate the help :)

  18. Hello SumRndmDde do you have any suggestions how to activate the actors composite graphics whiteout let the player go throw character creator. I’m using Character Creator + Dynamic Actors, whit notetag on the Class so I can create my Actor, and adapt the visual whit the notetag in equipment.
  19. SRD, this is an amazing script. Thanks a ton!

Is it possible to allow Dynamic Actors to function without going through the Character Creator?
  20. Me and 4mroth need help.... please:)
