  1. Since the update I'm getting stuck in a "Preparing to Launch RPG Maker MV" cycle on Steam. Attempted to uninstall and reinstall, no good. Tried compatability mode and administrator access, same thing. Troubleshooting just says that the software is incompatible with Windows 10. No idea what's going on tbh.

How do I access my code? I bought it on Steam.

Looks like you broke it by download on this site rather via automatic update on steam. Simple fix also right click on the software/game in question on steam-> properties -> Local files -> View integrity of application cache. And just wait for steam to fix it.

That odd using win 10 and I don't have problems.
  3. Awesome !

Thanks for the update. Do you think there would be a way to adjust the RPG Maker size proportion for the 3/4 screen ?

Yep, that was the problem. Thank you!
  5. I really like the new splash screen update. I was actually going to spend part of this morning to work on adding one to my game and now it will take 5 min. Thank you!
  6. We have been waiting so long! YAAAASS!! :D

    Also, while I'm here....
  7. For my netbook, the new update made MV boot-up much faster, and although lag is still present in-game, it's just a minor issue and has better frame rate than even Ace. Now I can test my projects even on the go. Way to go and great job, everyone. Thanks so much!  :D

Actually, I rather use the Splash  Screen from MOG system. For some reasons, this splash screen tends to be laggy on my main project (but not on new one). Strange, but ok for me.

I've had this problem since 1.2, I had to run steam as admin and mv as admin for it to work.
  10. Thanks for all of the hard work guys! Great update :)
  11. This is a great find!  Thanks for the tips!
  12. Do I need to stop steam updating automatically given the instructions in the first post? I'm sure it's does so automatically on my pc.
  13. Hey, so I'm backing up my projects and generator folders, but just wondering - after installing the update, what will be overwritten? And how will having these backups help me?
  14. new to this so some of the steps are confusing to me , why can't it just be a matter of installing and that's it lol.

    1. Make a backup of your project(s). DONE
    2. Make a backup of your Generator folder if you edited it. - Whats a generator folder ?
    3. Create a new project or go to the NewData folder in your RPG Maker MV root folder. Copy the new js and index.html files (except plugins.js so it won’t overwrite your Plugin Manager Parameters) to your existing project(s)! - What ??? I have no clue what to do for step 3. Sorry if I sound completely Nooby but I just find it Confusing atm. All I have is a EXE file but it says to copy the new JS and Index, htlm files , If I run the exe will it just install the update or just give me the files to move were I need to move them to ?
  15. So it is finally possible to change graphic hues now?

Nevermind, it still lags like crazy.

    2. If you don't even know the generator folder that means you never edited it. So skip that step.

    3. As for #3

    Install update. Done.

    >Have you made a project? If yes, proceed. If no. You're fine.

There's two ways you can go about this 3rd step:

    Method #1

    > Go to the folder where RPG Maker MV is installed. This is called the root folder.  Basically the origin of the software you are using.

    > There's a folder there that is called NewData. Copy the index.html, js folder EXCEPT the plugins.js inside it.

    > Paste it in your project's folder and replace the contents.

    > DONE.

    Method #2

    > Make a new project. Open that project's game folder.

    > Copy the index.html, js folder EXCEPT the plugins.js inside it.

    > Paste it in your project's folder and replace the contents.

    > DONE.

It is nothing but a precaution. If everything is ok on your side after the update, you can delete those backups.
  17. Really nice changes! Love that you added more examples to work with as well. Still waiting for that sound lag issue to be resolved since whatever is going on there is also tearing apart my cutscenes, but I'm hopeful after an awesome patch like this  :)  Perhaps the next patch will get me to push my projects back to MV!
  18. A bit of an issue with the new update. It seems to load the Steam overlay into the editor, so whenever someone on my friend list starts playing a game, it pops up a notification window on the editor window. Thing is, it seems to appear in completely random places on the screen. Same with the FPS counter.
  19. question - were any new generator parts included in this update?

There are a few rtp changes but I'm not sure about generator. I just told people to back it up just in case.
