It's a MV plugin though, not sure if that would be an issue.

Does MV version of plugin work with MV version of Ultra Mode 7?
What does compatibility with grid free doodads entail? Are there issues with MV doodads? -
To be honest, I don't recommend you to use the MV version of this plugin, because there some problems in MV version.Does MV version of plugin work with MV version of Ultra Mode 7?

The mv version of the plugin don`t support Ultra Mode 7 or Yep`s mv doodads plugin.
I'm developing something interesting around this light plugin in MZ. -
All good! I'm just waist deep into my MV project, as it stands. I'll probably be switching over someday though. To be honest, I don't recommend you to use the MV version of this plugin, because there some problems in MV version.

Hi @qiujiu, I've been trying out your lighting system and really love it so far! It's not performance heavy at all.
I've come across a small issue and was wondering if you help me find a solution.
I'm trying to create a window that flashes with lightning. But am having trouble syncing the light switching on and off, with the event image changing. As an example:
I enter the below comment in the event:
<QJLL:ally-white-light><QJLL-offsetY:0><QJLL-opacity:0|0~140|0~30|1~30|0~30|1~350|0><QJLL-scaleY:2>
So ideally after 140 frames the light should come on, then after 30 it should go off, then after 30 it should come back on.
I then timed the same waits in my event movement route:
Wait 140 Frames
Turn Left
Wait 30 Frames
Turn Down
Wait 30 Frames
Turn Left
Wait 30 Frames
Turn Down
Wait 350
Repeat
....
Below is an image of how I tried to set it up:
The issue I have is: the first light up works perfect and both the event change and light turning on happen perfectly, but immediately after that the next flashes are all desynchronized. I think it might be that when the event "turns" there is a 1 or 2 frame pause between each turn but the light event switching ON or OFF is instant. Over time the gaps between the light turning on or off and the event image switching gets longer and longer.
I uploaded a video to show the issue as well:
Apologise for the long wait between flashes (Please note for the video I increased the wait time for the light and event to 70 frames so it's easier to see).
Sorry for the long post and I hope you could give me some help! Thank you. -

Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to solve the problem! The plugin works brilliantly, just needed to tweak the light timing by adding 1 frame to sync with the Turn movement.
Thanks again. -
I just downloaded and tried your plugin, and I get an outdated pixi error.
"
Uncaught Error: PIXI version is low.Recommend Version of RMMV is 1.6.2
at QJ-Lighting.js:1071"
It shows my PIXI version is 4.5.4 right below it. I also have RMMZ 1.5.0 the latest version. The demo works and looks great. Hope I can get it working with my game. I copied over the .js file and the lighting folder to my game.
Thanks for any help! -
Sorry, the plugin only supports the RMMZ.I just downloaded and tried your plugin, and I get an outdated pixi error.

Did you mean to say it only supports MV? Because he just said he's using MZ, and 1.5 is the most recent version available...

The error PIXI version is low.Recommend Version of RMMV is 1.6.2 is the inappropriate error.
I did not delete this error text when I migrated the plugin from rmmv to rmmz.
But......If MaGicBush use the RMMZ, why his game`s pixi version will be 4.5.4 instead of 5.2.4?
The version of pixijs that RMMV uses is 4.5.4.
While the version of pixijs that RMMZ uses is 5.2.4.
If he does use RMMZ, the possible reason is that when he migrated the project from mv to mz, he also moved the files under js/lib which contain the pixi.js.
So although he uses RMMZ, the version of pixijs of his project is 4.5.4 instead of 5.2.4.
I recommend that MaGicBush copy the file js/libs/pixi.js from the demo of my plugin to the corresponding location of your project. So that the lightning plugin can work normally, and you can use other rmmz plugins without problems.
In fact, the plugin that you can download from Dropbox or itch.io only supports the RMMZ.now.
I have updated the plugin. -

I did in fact migrate my project from MV. I followed a guide, and it never mentioned not to copy that folder nor that I would need to change a bunch of other files. I copied over your pixi.js file, and then made a new project and copied a bunch of other files I had not done to finish migrating. It works now thanks!
That would explain the weird bugs I was having with the community project plugin as well. I started with that, and then this and then Shora. Oddly Shora lighting worked with my old version of pixi, and I was about to just stick with that. I will give this a shot and see which seems easier for my needs. It was probably a good idea to upgrade the pixi version anyways. Thanks again! -
Shora`s lightning plugin fits for your project in RMMZ because it fits the RMMV whose version of pixijs is 4.5.4.So you can use it in RMMZ whose version of pixjs is the old 4.5.4 instead of 5.2.4.I did in fact migrate my project from MV. If you do decide to use RMMZ, you`d better use the new pixijs 5.2.4.So other plugins which are just written for RMMZ can work in your project well.
Shora`s lightning plugin can work in both RMMV and RMMZ so you just don`t need to care about this when you only use the plugin without other plugins.
Shora`s lightning plugin is very different from my lightning plugin in usage, degree of freedom, effect, upper limit and so on, so it is up to you to decide whose plugin to use.

So I had time to play around with your plugin a while. I love the shadows! The plugin looks nicer than the others, but it seems buggy. At least flashlights. Even in your demo the flashlight just wants to aim up and wont rotate with the mouse very well at all. I would love for that to get patched as using the mouse to aim is great for my game since I use an action combat system anyways. If that's not possible is there a way to make the flashlight just aim the same way the player is facing?
Thanks for your hard work and supplying more options. -

I test and it seems to work naturally.
Is the effect in the picture the one you want, or is my understanding wrong? -

Yes that's it, but for me even when I move my mouse down the light path just stays facing up. It will move around a little bit as I move the mouse, but it wont stay with my mouse pointer.
I attached a picture, but it wont show my mouse when I try to print screen. My mouse is down by the light pole. -
Are you using the latest version 2.2?Yes that's it, but for me even when I move my mouse down the light path just stays facing up. It will move around a little bit as I move the mouse, but it wont stay with my mouse pointer.

Oh hah! I was using v1.4 somehow. I just updated to 2.2 from your dropbox link on the first post. It works great now. Thank you! I may throw a few bones your way on itch if I end up using your plugin :D. Thanks for your time! -
