Waterfalls have never looked better @hiddenone creates Orcs and Goblins with sideview battlers! Maybe it's time to make a game that have monsters and heroes working together? And to complete the set, @Avery provides us with angels of different variety! Including an MZ compatible faceset to boot. May they guide you in your game making journey, wanderer. This was my honest answer: I don't want to. Mainly, as you already said, because it takes a lot of time and in the same time, I could make way more tiles which I enjoy more. Someone would have to pay me to even consider making battle backgrounds.
This is just my personal preference.

What you get in a ReStaff release highly depends on who has time and wants to make something for it. We are always looking for new people from the community who want to participate in a ReStaff.

@Dalph, you're right, backgrounds can be found over internet, but there is small problem... Doubtful Licensing, few months ago i found interesting blog with RM battle backgrounds with Creative Common license and I started topic about that blog... It turns out there weren't blog's author works, just screenshots of backgrounds taken from random animes. In short, it's hard to find backgrounds with verified licensing for commercial use and for free.

The angels are super cute, and the MZ rtp is definitely lacking in generic monster sprites so goblins and orcs are great.
And I'm gonna have to add a river to my game just for those waterfalls.
